IELTS Registration Procedure in the Philippines You are hitting the band score you need consistently. Your IELTS review center instructor is telling you to go for it. You can feel it in your bones that if you sit the test you will get the required marks. Should these evidence manifest, then you are most probably ready to take the International English Language Test System. Congratulations. Next step: registration. If you are not in a review center, or your IELTS review center charges processing fees and you want to save money, you can register yourself. Follow these steps to successfully scheduling your IELTS test: Step 1: Choose a test date and location. The IELTS is usually held thrice in a month. Also, be careful – sometimes a test date only offers the Academic module. Step 2: Download an application form at the IDP Philippines or British Council Philippines website. You can also pick up an application form at their offices. If your review center has them, you can simply ask them for a copy. Step 3: Complete the requirements. 1. Photocopy of an ID. Test administrators would only accept your passport, PRC license, GSIS card, SSS card, of a Unified Multi-Purpose ID. Make sure that the ID you use will still be valid on exam day. 2. Two (2) pieces passport-sized colored photos. 3. The test fee (British Council – Php8.986.00; IDP – P8,900.00) Step 4: Submit everything to the testing agent. You will get a confirmatory letter once you have successfully registered. Submitting your application for the IELTS can be done in four ways: 1. Ask your review center to do it for you. If they are registration agents then they should offer this service. If not, check out the IDP or British Council website for a list of legitimate registration agents. 2. Send it in for free. British Council offers this service. If you really do not have time because of your packed schedule, you can send your application and requirements through WWWExpress/ DHL. This is a free service. Go to any WWWExpress/DHL outlet and quote British Council Account 642210981. WWWExpress will deliver your application to the British Council office. Take note, though, that they only accept manager’s check. 3. Drop by the office. British Council and IDP are open from 9AM-4PM, Monday to Saturday.
