Tom Cade has agreed to come and join us for the the instigator of the Peregrine Fund, Tom has been forefront of breeding and releasing Peregrines, Breasted Falcons, Harris Hawks, Aplomado California Condors. Should circumstances against us, his deputy Bill Heinrich who has Peregrine Fund at Boise for many years will instead. Don’t miss it, the programme will be the same each day and you can go from world class flying demonstrations outside throughout the day, to world class speakers inside. You will also be able to wander the field and grounds looking at a world class collection of birds and many stands with all that you should need for falconry, breeding, telemetry and advice. Here at the Centre the new birds we hope to be flying are a juvenile Grey Buzzard Eagle, also known as the Chilean Eagle, a new Tawny Eagle, White-tailed Sea Eagle, some this years Merlins, and possibly a Gyr Falcon, that is only a tiny number of the species of birds you will see flown by us and others
STAND HOLDERS For anyone wanting a stand, just have a look at the website and download a form, fill it in and send it to ICBP, either by attachment to an email or by post. Every one of the stands last year had a great time and did reasonably well for a first time event. So don’t miss the chance to be one of the stands this year. Because the site is not huge and has a great family atmosphere to it, numbers will be limited so that everyone has a good site with a view of the flying arena around which pretty much everything is centred. Stands can come in and set up on the Friday, but we prefer not before that. There is free parking for a stand vehicle and one camping - either tent or caravan, right next to the main public field, so you can easily get to your stuff without having to go off site. On the Saturday evening there will be a BBQ for stand holders, campers and any clubs that come with a stand, there will be marinated venison (already in the deep freeze) and burgers etc and the bar will be open until 10.30pm Hopefully all our guests and speakers will join us for the BBQ, and the weather will be kind, I know the food will be great and the cost as low as we can make it. If the weather is not kind we will go into the Keizerbrink tent to enjoy the grub and the friendly atmosphere. As we will all be working the following day, and we are at a Centre filled with wonderful birds, we ask that we finish at 11.00pm and all take advantage of a reasonably early night! There will be a team of people walking round the Centre during the Saturday night for security, however we do ask Standholders not to leave valuables in their stands.
