INTRODUCING FREEWHEELING MAGAZINE FreeWheeling offers a new concept in cycling magazine publishing – a free, full colour, 52 page, bi-monthly magazine, available through UK Cycle dealers. FreeWheeling will be FREE to both cycle dealers and their customers. The first issue is scheduled for May/June 2009 publication. Planned initial circulation is 20,000.
TARGET AUDIENCE FreeWheeling’s target audience is the broad group of cyclists, who form the customer base of most UK cycle shops – cycle commuters, family and leisure riders, children, sportive and fitness riders, off-roaders and cycle tourists. Most of these customers DO NOT regularly purchase or subscribe to a cycling magazine, but they WILL pick up and read a free magazine that’s packed with interesting content.
TRUSTED REVIEWS OF BIKES, CLOTHING AND ACCESSORIES FreeWheeling readers will find reviews of bikes, clothing and accessories that they can trust, carried out by cyclists with whom they can identify, in other words people just like them – occasional and weekend riders and children, in fact just about everyone who rides a bike!
HUMAN INTEREST CONTENT FreeWheeling’s reviews will feature lots of human interest stories, designed to engage readers and keep them coming back to the magazine issue after issue. Rather than focusing too much on technical aspects FreeWheeling testers will pass on their own very personal experience of using the bikes, clothing and equipment they are testing.
A NEW OPPORTUNITY FOR ADVERTISERS FreeWheeling offers advertisers the opportunity to promote their products and services right at the heart of the cycling marketplace – the cycle shop, to potential customers who are actively engaged in either a pre-purchase or purchasing decision.

A NEW OPPORTUNITY FOR CYCLE DEALERS FreeWheeling offers cycle dealers a fantastic, free resource to add value to their customers’ shop visit. FreeWheeling is not a ‘throwaway’ flyer or news sheet, but a proper, full colour magazine, designed to promote the cycle dealer as the place to go for the best buying advice and choice of bikes, clothing and accessories.
NO COMPETITIVE CYCLING DEALER ADVERTISING As FreeWheeling is distributed through cycle shops it will feature only brand related or non-dealer advertising.
PERFECT FORMAT FOR READERS, ADVERTISERS AND CYCLE SHOP OWNERS FreeWheeling’s handy 230mm x 170mm size has been carefully chosen to: • Fit easily into a cycle jersey rear pocket, backpack, handbag or shopping bag
• Take up minimal space on a cycle shop counter
• Provide advertisers with a high impact, high quality advertising environment.
