This is an example of Bill Cunningham's work. He is an American Fashion Photographer who takes pictures of street fashion. He captures particular colours and particular accessorires to put together features that have a certain fashion theme. This one above is based on handbags. I have decided I want to focus on photographing hats.
I took as many images as I could for this assignment as I wanted to have a lot of choice when I selected the 20 I would use for my final picture only feature. I decided to choose a range of ages and genders as I wanted to capture as many personalities as I could. I feel I have successfully done this by approaching people I wouldn’t usually approach, some of the ‘shifty’ looking characters turned out to be the nicest!
