Happy June!! So where are you heading this summer? Camping? Lake time? Beachin’ it? Local venues or a staycation? Don’t forget to take your business! Your business is flexible, not OPTIONAL! You must be prepared for all your journeys. Make sure you plan on attending the Better Together Meeting near you! Thirty-One has many wonderful surprises waiting for us all. June brings us a new K-Group kick off, New Monthly Specials, and more time to make our Disney Wishes Come True! ...value in leadership
There is true value in leadership! I share this not to impress you, but to impress upon you just how valuable it is! Compare what could be made as a consultant versus as a leader! I chose leadership and you can too! Let me help you get there! Look at the potential impact leadership can make in your business! Consultant

Pink Glove Service is what we are known for. How effective is your system for providing it? Do you have a system in place?
First of all, don’t try and cram in all your follow-up in one day. Space it out so that people are not inundated with you at first and then you fall off the map. Make sure to follow up with them more in the beginning, but then spread it out over time and don’t feel as though you have to follow-up with everyone on the same day.
Third, if you know of local meetings going on, make sure to invite your local customers. Better Together Events are perfect. Just the fact that you think of them enough to tell them about it or invite them tells them that you care.
If you are setting up at a local fair or festival, let your customers know that you are Make sure to let people know going to be there and to look they will hear from you again. for you so that you can say This way they expect to see “Hi” and catch up.

Finally, always be consistent. Nothing is worse than when you are really great at the follow-up and then they feel as though they don’t matter anymore because they have not heard from you in several months. Create a plan on how you are going to stay in touch and then have a system in place to help you stick to that plan. Systems mean you are automatic — reminders will pop up, newsletters will go out, phones calls will be placed, etc. It’s crucial to keep things straight! Log the last contact too so you know exactly where the conversation left off. Follow-up is an ongoing process. Once you get your systems down, you’ll begin to see is pay off!

Are you
fishing in
the wrong pond? You have everything you need - hooks, bait, tackle box, rod and reel, thermal tote with lunch. You head to the fishing hole, drop the line, and wait...no bites, no nibbles, no fish.
Likewise, if you fish in a pond filled with carp, you’re sure to catch something, but you won’t want what you’ve caught – it’ll be more trouble than it’s worth to even bother fishing in the first place.
The same concept holds true with booking parties. If you’re trying to catch swordfish in an inland lake, you can fish all day and you won’t catch one.
In our business, we are taught to offer the opportunity to everyone and not prejudge. That’s helpful information to a small degree. You

Ever sit in a crowded waiting area and go down the line, trying to figure out where someone might hail from based on how they are dressed, what they are reading, the sound of their voice, or a dozen other telling signals? First, dont judge me! Second, before you dismiss the idea, think about how you could apply the technique at your parties or on the go - to determine how to approach someone about joining your team! HA! See my OCD is paying off in spades! Put your Sherlock hat on and really start listening to the woman who loves everything, can’t afford much, is looking for a job, bored, and/or wanting something to do because her children are grown or they want to stay home with their children (even if she is all rolled into one woman). She might just be your next PEQA hidden behind that 2 year old copy of Southern Living right there in the dentist office! Talk to her - get to know her - hand her something else to read like the Summer Style Guide - not that we don’t adore SL! Get the PEQA, err, picture?

Who has an area of their business that is not quite where you want it to be? Did you raise your hand? Me too! Nobody is perfect and there is always room to improve, right? That’s where the 4 P’s come in. Let’s look at them!
The 4
PREPARE - always be preparing a month or two ahead. You should always actively work your business in teh present, but you need to be preparing for the string of tomorrows that follow. That’s how retail works and that’s what we are dealing with - cycles of planning and seizing our moments! Be ready! PROACTIVE - be proactive and invest in your business. If the things you have done in the past are not working for you now, mix it up and try new things. Reinvent your approach. Nothing is set in stone. Don’t be afraid to blend several things that do work together! PLAN - Be a big believer in planning your own party! f you don’t have a party booked - have your own! You are a party professional after all! Invite people individually - not with a mass invite. Reach out to them on a personal level
‘s
and let them know that you want them to be part of your event. Have fun with it! PRODUCT - Ask people to be product testers! Choose three customers and ask them to carry something for a week, post photos, and a review at the end of the week in your customer group. It’s a great way to have someone else offer up how much they love 31 products and how they use them! This is a super idea if you are going to be out of town for a few days. It keeps your customer group engaged and active with minimal time investment from you while you are away. So think about an area of your business that you need to reinvent and go for it! Momma always said your P’s were good for you!
