TIPS TO MANAGE THE HOLIDAY STRESS

What are your top three tips for maintaining balance and managing stress during the busy holiday season?
These are always my vital behaviors, but they’re even more crucial during the holidays. First, Move your body. It sounds obvious but the most basic things go out the window when we think there isn’t enough time. There is. Time always feels more spacious when your blood is pumping faster. Do it first thing or schedule a 15 minute break on your phone mid day to take a brisk walk around the block.
Second, Focus on giving. Tis the season. But don’t forget that giving is about the spirit and intention, not the gift. Give to someone truly less fortunate than you and watch your trivial worries melt away.
Third, Think on purpose. The world of advertising, social media, and media is only getting louder Your brain is going to be feeding you more unuseful thoughts. Your job is to be louder than those voices. Talk to yourself more than you listen to yourself. Decide that it’s all going to get done, decide that you already have everything you need. Decide that the holidays are a magical time and they will be. Letting your first thoughts run the show is like letting a toddler make dinner for your family, it can get messy and dangerous and it won’t be delicious.
How can people prioritize their time effectively when juggling holiday commitments like family, work, and social events?
Time management for busy women is my life’s work. And while I can’t distill down all of my philosophies and processes into one paragraph, here is the core of what you need to know. You can’t out action a bad thought. Even if you have a meticulous schedule, if you believe that there just isn’t enough time, you will always feel like a chicken with its head cut off. So, yes. Write it all down. Schedule all of your priorities into your day (including rest and fun!) but take it one step further. Ask yourself what do I have to feel in order to take this action? And what do I have to believe in order to feel that feeling. Your thoughts create your feelings. Your feelings drive your actions. And your actions create your results it is as simple as aligning those three things.
What advice would you give to someone who feels pressure to create a "perfect" holiday experience but is struggling with feelings of burnout?
The strategy I recommend here is actually just a thought for you to practice. The thought is “They’re confused ” In general, we spend way too much time trying to set boundaries to control how other people show up. People are going to do, say and think what they want. The thing that keeps you sane is not arguing with reality. If someone doesn’t understand or agree with how you ’ re showing up this season, get neutral and keep doing you - by simply remembering… They’re not being rude, they’re just confused. ��
How can individuals practice mindfulness or self-care daily to stay grounded amid the holiday hustle?

What strategies do you recommend for setting healthy boundaries, especially with family or friends who may have high expectations during the holidays?
I love an over the top instagram-worthy holiday table as much as the next gal, but perfect is an illusion. You can absolutely go big for the holidays but you have to define what makes up your dream holiday. Maybe you want holiday cards mailed out by Dec 5th. Maybe you want your family to go to church together. But watch out for this red flag �� that will burn you out every time. Your perfect holiday can’t be about controlling anyone but you. You get to give yourself the dream holiday experience. The second you believe your husband or kids or mother-in-law needs to act a certain way for things to be perfect, you ’ re missing the point. Drop your expectations for anyone but you. I mean, you can keep them, but expect the process of manipulating everyone to feel and be as they “should“ to be the only thing that burns you out.

CREAMY GARLIC AND HERB HOLIDAY PASTA
Ingredients (Serves 4-6)
For the Pasta
1 pound (450g) fettuccine, pappardelle, or your favorite pasta
Salt for boiling water
For the Sauce
4 tablespoons (1/2 stick) unsalted butter
4 cloves garlic, finely minced
1 cup heavy cream (or half-and-half for a lighter option)
1 cup freshly grated Parmesan cheese (plus extra for garnish)
1 teaspoon dried Italian herbs (or a mix of oregano, basil, and thyme)
1/2 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional, for a touch of heat)
Salt and freshly ground black pepper to taste
For the Garnish
1/4 cup fresh parsley, chopped
1/4 cup dried cranberries (optional, for a festive touch)
1/4 cup toasted pine nuts or walnuts (optional, for texture)
Instructions
Step 1: Cook the Pasta
Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil Cook the pasta according to the package instructions until al dente
Reserve 1 cup of pasta water before draining the pasta Set aside
Step 2: Make the Sauce
In a large skillet, melt the butter over medium heat
Add the minced garlic and sauté for 1-2 minutes, until fragrant but not browned
Pour in the heavy cream, stirring to combine Bring the mixture to a gentle simmer
Gradually add the Parmesan cheese, stirring until it melts into a smooth sauce
Mix in the dried Italian herbs, red pepper flakes (if using), salt, and pepper Adjust seasoning to taste
Step 3: Combine Pasta and Sauce
Add the cooked pasta to the skillet, tossing to coat evenly in the sauce
If the sauce is too thick, gradually add the reserved pasta water, a few tablespoons at a time, until the desired consistency is reached
Step 4: Garnish and Serve
Sprinkle fresh parsley over the pasta
For a festive twist, top with dried cranberries and toasted nuts
Serve hot with extra Parmesan cheese on the side
• 2 tbsp fresh mint, chopped
• 1/4 cup pomegranate seeds
• 1/4 cup goat cheese
Instructions:
1 Preheat oven to 400°F
2. Line a large baking pan with parchment paper. Spread halved brussels sprouts evenly on the pan.
3 Coat sprouts with ghee, sea salt, and a sprinkle of black pepper and chili flakes
4. Roast for 25 minutes, flipping halfway through for even cooking.
5. Remove from the oven and mix in chopped pistachios. Drizzle with molasses and maple syrup, tossing to coat evenly.
6. Return to the oven for an additional 5 minutes, or until the nuts are crispy and caramelized.
7. Once done, remove from the oven and top with pomegranate seeds, fresh mint, and goat cheese (if using).
RICH HOLIDAY CHOCOLATE MOUSSE
INGREDIENTS (SERVES 4-6) FOR THE MOUSSE
6 OZ (170G) DARK CHOCOLATE, CHOPPED
3 LARGE EGGS, SEPARATED (ROOM TEMPERATURE)
1/4 CUP GRANULATED SUGAR
1 CUP HEAVY CREAM, CHILLED
1 TEASPOON VANILLA EXTRACT
PINCH OF SALT FOR GARNISH WHIPPED CREAM
CHOCOLATE SHAVINGS FRESH MINT LEAVES
RED BERRIES (LIKE RASPBERRIES OR CRANBERRIES) POWDERED SUGAR
INSTRUCTIONS
STEP 1: MELT THE CHOCOLATE
PLACE THE CHOPPED CHOCOLATE IN A HEATPROOF BOWL OVER A SAUCEPAN OF SIMMERING WATER STIR UNTIL MELTED AND SMOOTH REMOVE FROM HEAT AND LET IT COOL SLIGHTLY
STEP 2: WHIP THE EGG WHITES IN A CLEAN BOWL, BEAT THE EGG WHITES WITH A PINCH OF SALT UNTIL SOFT PEAKS FORM GRADUALLY ADD THE SUGAR AND CONTINUE BEATING UNTIL STIFF, GLOSSY PEAKS FORM
STEP 3: WHIP THE CREAM IN ANOTHER BOWL, WHIP THE HEAVY CREAM WITH THE VANILLA EXTRACT UNTIL SOFT PEAKS FORM.
STEP 4: COMBINE INGREDIENTS
GENTLY FOLD THE EGG YOLKS INTO THE MELTED CHOCOLATE UNTIL WELL MIXED GRADUALLY FOLD IN THE WHIPPED CREAM, FOLLOWED BY THE BEATEN EGG WHITES, UNTIL FULLY INCORPORATED BE CAREFUL NOT TO DEFLATE THE MIXTURE
STEP 5: CHILL
SPOON THE MOUSSE INTO SERVING GLASSES OR BOWLS
REFRIGERATE FOR AT LEAST 2 HOURS OR UNTIL SET
STEP 6: GARNISH AND SERVE TOP WITH A DOLLOP OF WHIPPED CREAM, CHOCOLATE SHAVINGS, AND FRESH MINT SPRINKLE WITH POWDERED SUGAR AND ADD BERRIES FOR A FESTIVE FINISH
