What do we do?

Our center enhances the lives of elder seniors struggling with Alzheimer’s, dementia, mildly handicapped but frail, those elderly with other issues that just need some minimal care, other handicaps needing full ADLS assistance, and those fully ambulatory, hospital recovery, or living alone and needing socialization. Seniors have the opportunity to share their abilities/talents in many ways through crafts that others may use (quilts, jewelry, sewed items, table decorations, birdhouses etc.) Some share ways to make it through life’s hard times. These meaningful activities help allow the senior to feel valued, and needed. A senior requiring day program services is typically between independent living and a nursing home residence, often living with a significant care-giver such as a spouse or adult child. The purpose of the program has been expanded to provide caregivers a break from their daily routine, with the assurance that their loved ones will receive quality care from an educated compassionate staff and to allow seniors living alone and being checked by family member to be in the comfort of the center in the daytime, with all of its activities and giving comfort to family. This can allow full-time caregivers to return to the workforce, or simply take a few hours to shop or recreate without fears for the safety of their loved ones. The care center is a great choice, it has helped seniors living alone feel as though they are not in danger of having to be moved out of their home and in with family or a nursing home. The saving of our independence with dignity as long as possible is very important to us as we get older.

Great News! Byron Williams has graciously given Valley to Valley Senior Care Center 10 acres in Saguache to help make our vision a reality for the seniors! We are now looking to expand and build a second center to help seniors and their families in Northern Saguache County, we need your help! t 8F OFFE CPUI 'JOBODJBM BOE *O ,JOE %POBUJPOT PG BMM TJ[FT UP IFMQ PVS OPO QSPÄ•U CVJME BOE TVQQMZ UIF OFX DFOUFS t 8F BMTP OFFE -FUUFST PG 4VQQPSU GPS PVS HSBOUT /PX JT UIF UJNF XF DBO TIPX IPX NVDI UIF DPNNVOJUZ TVQQPSUT UIF OFX DFOUFS $BMM BOE BTL PS DPNF CZ UIF Open House Fundraiser on Dec. 10th, 2016, 9 a.m.-3 p.m. to see the floor plan and how to help.
