139 Adams St. Monte Vista (719) 628-2015 Open every weekend for showings at 7 p.m. on Friday and Saturday and 5 p.m. on Sunday. The Vali 3 Theater, located in historic downtown Monte Vista, is truly a community operation. After generous donations purchased updated projector and sound equipment to meet digital format requirements, the Vali theater re-opened in December of 2014. The theater is overseen by a volunteer advisory board, two paid managers and is operated Friday, Saturday and Sunday evenings for movie showings by local volunteers. The mission of the Vali is to operate in a sustainable manner and bring quality movies and community events to the San Luis Valley. Since reopening, the Vali has brought several first-run movies to Monte Vista. The Vali is available for event rentals and special screenings to community organizations.

What we need:

1. Tax deductible checks can be written to the Vali 3 Theater to help with our operating costs. Our website has a “Donate” tab explaining how this tax benefit works. When operating costs allow, we will explore the costs of opening a second theater. 2. Volunteers are a big priority, typically working a few weekends a year, and each weekend requires only a few hours of your time taking tickets, running concessions and cleaning the theater after each movie. Email vali3volunteer@outlook.com for more information. 3. Attendance and purchases from concessions help with our operating costs. 4. Cleaning supplies are always appreciated. Please visit our website: vali3theater.org for more information on how you can donate!

A Community Run Theater is not something you see every day. This grass-roots effort in Monte Vista is bringing in new business, new tax dollars and revenue to our town. This is not just a theater. It’s a symbol of new life for our community.

Bringing Senior Care to the Northern Valley

Valley to Valley has enhanced the lives of elder seniors struggling with Alzheimer’s, dementia, mildly handicapped but frail, those elderly with other issues that just need some minimal care, some needing full ADLS assistance, those fully ambulatory, hospital recovery, or living alone needing socialization. The program has been expanded to provide caregivers a break from their daily routine, with the assurance that their loved ones will receive quality care from an educated, compassionate staff and allow them to return to the workforce, simply take a few hours to shop, recreate, or have a rest time. The care center is a great choice, it has helped seniors living alone feel as though they are not in danger of having to be moved out of their home. GREAT NEWS… A center is going into the Saguache area. We will be expanding our services with a second center to help seniors and their families. The Saguache Center will have day services, respite and assisted living. Your support is needed both financial and in-kind to help our non-profit build and supply the new center. Until the center is completed, we are transporting seniors to the Salida location to help families out. Now is the time we can show how much the community supports the new center. We are accepting donations via Coloradogives.com, our web page at valleytovalley.org or by mail to Post Office Box 769, Salida, CO 81201. We are a 501 (c) (3) and listed on the state charitable solicitation index for tax purposes.
