MEMBERSHIP COMMITTEE RESPONSIBILITIES

1 . Develop a growth or maintenance program specifically for the club and present it to the Board of Directors for approval

2 . Provide regular encouragement at club meetings to bring in new quality members .

3 . Ensure proper recruitment procedures (i . e . prospective member presented to the Membership Committee by the sponsor; approve prospective member for presentation to the Board of Directors) The Membership Committee Chair and the sponsor for the prospective member should attend a Board meeting to present the prospective member to the Board of Directors for approval .

4 Prepare and implement orientation sessions

5 Report to the Board of Directors on ways to retain members .

6 . The Membership Committee should coordinate with other club committees in fulfilling these responsibilities .

7 . A member of the Membership Committee will attend the zone level committee meeting
