I

n regards to a significance in Venice, the designers are to speak up to the public upon the sinking city of Venice due to over-tourism. DE-SUNK pavilion presents the result of 3-designers’ research into a modest answer in relation to the sinking Venice. Located at Campo Santo Stefano, San Marco, DE-SUNK pavilion exhibits 5 other islands of Venetian Lagoon with consideration to multi-sensorial experience that is open to public yet mainly aims towards tourists, running as a guiding device that there are plenty of other wonderful lagoons out there. The human’s senses are used as the main idea as they’re the core elements of what makes a ‘human’ human.

The 3-designers integrate the 5 human’s senses experience inside the space that are both mesmeric yet represents the 5 chosen lagoons (Vignole, Murano, Isola di San Michele, Sant’Erasmo, San Lazzaro degli Armeni). The whole structure is parted into 5 different spaces in relation to the 5 human’s senses and the 5 Venetian Lagoons with semi-enclosed facade, and sheltered exhibitions inside. To summarise, the significance of this project is to encourage tourists to visit other islands in the Venetian map and also to respect the campaign of #RESPECTENJOYVENEZIA.

DSG SEATRADE BOOTH LOCATION: USA, 1901 Convention Center Dr, Miami Beach, FL 3313 TOTAL UNIT(S) AREA: 36 SQM

T

he project was to design a trade show booth space with approximate 36 sqm and height of 2.5 m and the booth itself will be an island booth with 4 openings in which the DSG brand needs to be branded into the booth showing showcase of the cruise design business. The concept for this project is inspired greatly by DSG’s vision: “Global Interior Fit-out Partner of Choice.” Simply, the vision means that they’re capable of designing with versatility and universally. So, this makes the idea of using kaleidoscope born. Kaleidoscope is an optical device with mirror bits inside of it. The device has endless designs that can change endlessly by simply rotating it.

To go deeper, the word is derived from the Greek; Kalos which means beautiful, eïdos which means for form and skopeïn; to view. In short, the name means ‘to view beautiful forms’. The design is not just about functionality, the idea is to create something innovative but at the same time aesthetically pleasing. Therefore, kaleidoscope is used as the booth concept to reflect DSG’s vision and to keep providing ‘beautiful forms’ for the clients. Besides the booth design itself, the client also requested a proposal of the cruise interior design as well. This is shown in the showcase area and the proposal is to integrate an interactive screen inside the space.

CRUISE INTERIOR SHOWCASE PROPOSAL

The idea here is to create a very simple and minimalistic cruise interior while still fulfiling all the basic requirements to design one.The room proposed is a prototype of rooms without windows. The aim is to integrate fullheight interactive screen in a way that the users can change it to whatever scenery and mood they’re in.

*FOR MORE PROCESS

G

reenfingers is a symbiosis of a school, indoor farm, restaurant, and retail for the youth in Singapore. It is located at 2 Anthony Road. It is the combination of the spaces that makes it a hybrid educational centre. Greening is considered a priority in Singapore; despite that, the lack of education has led to the drop in interest in bringing farming to the next level, career-wise, through education itself. Thus the proposal is to create a hybrid centre for the youth to learn about urban farming involving around hydroponics, aquaponics and aeroponics. These farming techniques could be considered as the future of agriculture and farming.

tts

Sco

The centre will be divided into several zones: the education zone will be a learning area for the users to get at least a diploma in agricultural related subjects; the indoor farm is for the students to experiment and respect food by growing them; last but not least, the restaurant will be open to the public . The concept of the centre revolves around the idea of “openness” and “mutualism”. In a spatial context, the design of the spaces will be visually “open”.As for mutualism, more organic shapes will be integrated. Both of the terms can be translated to that of a “plant cell”. So metaphorically, the design will mimic the shape of the cells (exterior + interior).

ocated in a housing district around South Jakarta where it is busiest, the client wants his house to emit that sense of ESCAPISM and also NATURE. The building itself have been built since 2012 but was put on hold due personal reason. It was continue on the last few months of 2019, with its goal to be finished on mid 2021. The main perception of the space as the owner requested is TROPICAL MODERN. With the teak wood ceiling, double volume space and the use of glass, the spaces are interconnected and a lot of natural light comes through. A lot of the open spaces makes the whole living room looks wider visually than it actually is.

Cilandak Residence is a two-storey building with these spaces in mind (highlight are the one designed): 1st Floor: -Carport -Security Area -Foyer + Hall -Living Room -Fish pool + Swimming pool -Main Kitchen + Dining -Secondary Kitchen -Master Bedroom + WIC -Master Bathroom -Maid Quarters 2nd Floor: -Kid Bedroom + Walk-in Closet + Bath -Gym -Meeting room -Golf Simulator room -Cat room

private residential area located in Depok, part of West Jawa, the client wanted the interior of her house to be opulent but match with the design and structure of the house which has already been built by the developer. The house itself is oozing with tropical modern design and so the challenge is to match the idea of MINIMALIST LUXURY with a TROPICAL EXTERIOR. Besides that, other challenges form in different aspects such as creating the mini library on the niche of the stairs and how to perceive a FUTURISTIC GAMING BEDROOM as requested.

Carlton Residence is a two-storey building with these spaces in mind (highlight are the one designed): 1st Floor: -Foyer + Hall -Living Room, Dining +Kitchen -Master Bedroom + Bathroom 2nd Floor: -Mini Library -Kid Bedroom + Bathroom -Bedroom 1 -Sharing Bathroom
