Age? Nationality? Dogs or cats? 15, Cambodian, dogs! How do you like your new haircut? Well it definitely is a new look for me – I’ve had long hair for as long as I can remember and I’m still trying to get used to it. It’s a whole lot lighter so that’s always good!

What are your new year’s resolution? Be more confident, learn how to say no, write more, appreciate everybody, work a lot harder and smarter.

What are your favorite clothing brands? Topshop is my ultimate favorite. Bershka, Pull & Bear, H&M and New Look are also some of my favorites. Where do you get your fashion inspirations from? I get inspiration from people I see from school, my sister, and style icons like Kendall Jenner, Gigi Hadid, Hailey Baldwin and Kylie Jenner. What do you like to do in your free time? I watch a lot of TV shows – like, a lot.

I get my fashion inspiration from my mom, social networks like lookbook.nu, or other fashion bloggers.

My favorite movie is The Hunger Games. How did MRD Shop started? It started 3 years ago when my friends and I were drawing t shirts. After a while, they had to stop doing it but now it is my mom’s business. My job is a to design the t shirts.

Describe your fashion style? I don’t like to put my fashion sense in a box because it changes somewhat frequently and I won’t say I’m ‘boho’ or ‘high end’ because I’m neither- blending is the best and labeling yourself generally means youér the opposite deep down. However, there are things that have stayed the same over the years like my affinity for black, simple leather, sports inspired pieces, and accessorizing with killer jewelry, furs, and quirky stuff. I can be wearing plain black from head to toe but adding a pop of color with trainers, carrying a buttery leather oxblood bag, or donning a wide brim hat can take things from basic to brilliant. Basically, my style is constantly evolving. What are 10 essential must have in every girl’s closet? 1. Black leather jacket 2. Black leather moto boots 3. A high quality watch in silver, gold, or rose gold 4. Cashmere sweater 5. Dark skinny jeans 6. A black blazer 7. An oversized white tee-shirt 8. A simple, elegant suit 9. A silk button up, preferably cream 10. A pair of awesome trainers, not for working out (I’m adding an 11th because it’s so important: super comfortable tapered leg sweatpants with pockets, drawstring are a plus) Favorite item in your closet? This is a tough one. It’s a tossup between my J. Crew dove gray cashmere sweater because it’s been through so much with me, traveled across the globe, and is so, so comfortable or my black leather jacket with rose gold hardware- it doesn’t get much use here in Cambodia but it ‘s one of the best investments I’ve made.

What is your favourite outfit you’ve ever worn? I honestly don’t have one favorite, because I’ve worn thousands throughout my life and love a lot of them. A few would be: Black jeans, Loser Machine hoodie, all black Converse high tops at a beach in Washington Black romper with Nike Lunarglide+ trainers at a bar in Phnom Penh Vintage cream and beige fox fur coat with an oversized black tee, cashmere hot pants, and back stitch stockings with moto boots at a lounge in New York City Favorite brands/shops? Alexander Wang, Céline, and Elie Saab are some of my favorite designers- it doesn’t mean I can wear their stuff constantly but mixing it with pieces from Vince, Nike, Insight, Dark Seas, T by Alexander Wang, and ZARA is a great way to blend looks and makes things more affordable and fun; dressing in 100% designer doesn’t make you a fashionista, you just have a lot of money. Vintage shopping is amazing though- there’s nothing like finding that perfect worn in singlet you end up wearing for years, holes and fading being the best little parts of the piece! What do you like to do in your free time? Write, read, blog (www.mischkebusiness.com), do a photo shoot on occasion, work on my jewelry line TEMPER (www. temperbrand.com), eat (cheeseburgers, pizza, and cheese are the best), drink sparkling wine, watch trash TV/really amazing shows like Peaky Blinders and True Detective, and sleep. I love to sleep. Occupation? I work full time for Forte Insurance (totally not what I had ever imagined I’d be doing ever), but freelance write and edit, model, and consult for various projects.

Q&A Describe your fashion style? I don’t have a type, but sometimes I like to keep it simple, sometimes I like to keep it different. I like different. Favorite brands/shops? I don’t have a favorite brand but I like something interesting. If I see a model wearing something nice, I’ll probably buy it. Favorite item in your closet Short jeans. What do you do in the free time? I am busy with my business which is an online shop so in my free time I’ll watch a movie or organize my shop. Some companies call me to shoot videos and tv scenes. Dream job? I like a lot of things I would love to be a super model, Cara delgine is my inspiration. I can sing a little, embrace my singing, I love to be a vet because I lots cats and dogs, I wish to be a doctor but thats not going to happen. But I have your business. Two months, but its my first thing to but its successful.

I look up to successful bloggers on IG for inspiration sometimes but styles can be varied and what looks good on them most of the time doesn’t look good on me. Our bodies are different, or even postures. So most of the times we have to play with what’s trendy I mean what are selling in that season, mix and match and make it our own styles.

What is your favorite item in your closet? I love my shoes the most out of all the things I own in my closet. The runner up would be my bags. I love them so much. What do you like to do in your free time? I love online-shopping. It’s quick and it’s cheap. And when that doorbell rang, I just couldn’t help but feeling very excited. It’s like buying a present for myself when I unwrap the package, it’s sad I know… but it’s very fun. I love reading novels and play online games in my free time. Call of Duty is my favorite. I love traveling and see the world. It inspires me to see the differences between one country to another. The lifestyles, the norms, the religions… they are so fascinating. w Dream job? I don’t know what is my dream job yet, I do have a dream though but I don’t think it will make any money lol so I wouldn’t call it a job. My sister and I have just recently acquired a crepes franchise from Japan, Marion Crepes. So far it has been great. What would you wear with a day out with your friends? My quick-fix for a day out with friends would be high-waisted jeans with crop top and a statement necklace. High heels or converse would depend on where we’re going. What would you wear on night out? I love pencil skirt. So for a normal night out with friends, I would just wear a nice top with black pencil skirt, or a crop top with high-waisted skirt. I would wear a dress too sometimes but I prefer two pieces. I feel a bit more challenged to put them together as in mix and match rather than just wear one piece. It’s a bit more fun I think to invent my own look rather than wear what’s made for me. I mean, if it’s 2 pieces I can decide if I want my top to be flared or tucked-in… I can adjust where my waist should be, or the length of the hem. Do you have any advices? Since last year I have been trying to spread this message, “Be happy and be kind”. I realize that happy or sad, it will still be only 24 hours. So, I choose to stay happy and smile even the going gets tough. Even though fashion is my hobby, but I don’t believe we are defined by what we have in our closets. I believe being kind and truly be happy about ourselves is what truly makes a person beautiful.

Favorite shops/brands? My favorite high-end brands are Céline and Chanel; you can style their bags and or accessories with any outfit whether it’s an edgy, a classic, or a feminine look. They look good with everything. Some of my favorite brands to shop for clothes are Topshop, New Look, H&M, Pull & Bear, Bershka, ASOS, and Stradivarious.

What do you find your fashion inspiration? I usually find fashion inspiration while I shop for new items for my wardrobe. Although recently, I’ve been following Instagram accounts such as whowhatwear, outfitinspirations, and a few other fashion bloggers’ accounts. It’s refreshing to see how fashion is interpreted throughout the different styles and ideas. Favorite item in your closet? High waisted jeans. I can wear them with anything, and yet they’re so comfortable to be in. Dream job? I’d like to be in the fashion industry internationally and locally. I’m not sure of what particular job yet, I will soon. What would you wear on a day out with friends? I’d probably wear some high waisted shorts, boxy tee, a neckpiece and or a bangle to spice the outfit up, and a cross-body bag or a tote. What would you wear on a night out? I’d wear a bodycon dress with some accessories according to the pattern or style of the dress and styled with a clutch and peep-toed heels. Or, I’d wear a loose cami with a bodycon or skater skirt and styled with a cardigan and my usual accessory essentials: a bangle and or a necklace. Do you have any fashion advices? I think some advices from me are to just simply play with clothing and accessories. Continue with your style, but also be open minded with other people’s style because sometimes they can inspire you. You’ll never know what you’ll fit into until you try it.
