Kaiser Permanente Shady Grove Medical Center CANOPY ADDITION
OPTION 1
OPTION 2
The primary goal for this project was to provide a permanent solution that would allow members, visitors, and staff to safely access the building through a covered walkway that was consistent with Kaiser Permanente Total Health Environment standards. I served as the primary designer on the project, developed construction documents, and oversaw the construction administration process. DESIGN OPTION 1: This option includes a barrel vaulted fabric canopy on a steel framing system with posts on either side of the walkway from the curb to the main entrance, as shown in the rendering. This option also includes an elevated component of the canopy, which was designed to cover the passenger side of a vehicle stopped at the curb to unload a member, visitor or staff member. DESIGN OPTION 2: This option includes the same barrel vaulted fabric canopy on a steel framing system with posts on either side of the walkway from the curb to the main entrance, as shown in the rendering. However, this option omits the elevated component of the canopy.

Kaiser Permanente Harford MEDICAL OFFICE BUILDING
Kaiser Permanente expanded its operational footprint into Harford County, Maryland with the development of a new Medical Office Building. The operational objective of this project was to facilitate an effective expansion of Kaiser Permanente into the area by providing a facility to support primary care, laboratory, and radiology services. The two story, 28,000 SF base building was designed by Frederick Ward Associates. Array Architects designed the interior fit out to accommodate a second floor Primary Care Medical Module (OB/GYN, Pediatrics, and Adult Medicine). Pharmacy, General Radiology, Mammography, Dexascan, and a Laboratory were placed on the first floor. The remaining space on the first floor will be used as leasable space and the second floor for future Kaiser expansion.

SECOND FLOOR FIT OUT My primary role on the project was to assist the project architect with developing seven interior fit out schemes, review Kaiser Permanente medical templates, place medical equipment, and develop schematic through preliminary construction documents. Throughout the preliminary design process, members of the interior fit out team coordinated with the base building architect to confirm that the overall building design adhered to applicable codes and merged cohesively. The following pages display equipment and furniture plans that were developed for client presentations and construction documents. Projects with Kaiser and other medical facilities often require the design team to review equipment lists, coordinate with site specific vendors, and furniture vendors to ensure the necessary information is provided for design coordination.
