The art of photography to me is much more than producing pictures on paper. It’s about capturing the essence of you and your horse in a stress-free and relaxed enviroment. One of the most rewarding aspects of my job is getting to know you and your equine partner so I can create portraits that reflect your true personality. My hope is that the images captured during your session will be treasured for years to come.

DURI NG YOUR P O RTRAI T E X PE RI E NCE B E FO R E YOUR S E S S I ON - pre-session consultation to discuss locations and clothing options - client session contract must be signed and photo session retainer must be paid to secure your date - 2 days prior to your session we will send an appointment confirmation via email and/or text
A F T E R YOUR S E S S I ON - approximately 1-2 weeks after your session we will share your online gallery with you - PLEASE take the time to review your welcome guide with pricing so you are prepared to order. I am always here to help you decide and select the best products for your home. - you will receive social media sized digital files for each photo purchased. Full resolution digital files for print are available as well.
I M P O R TA N T T I P S - planning is essential for any photo session. I would like to know if you have any special vision for your photos, so that I can best create them. - choose clothing that you are comfortable in and allows you to stand, sit and feel “like yourself”. SIT BACK & RELAX Your photo session will be a fun and relaxing experience. I am a full service photographer and my job is to handle all the details from finding the location, planning all the photos and helping you select your products. Because I want you to enjoy your experience with me, I will take care of all the work from retouching to placing your print order. When your your photo order is delivered, you will have amazing photos that are ready to display and look beautiful in your home.

TIPS FOR SELECTING OUTFITS FOR YOUR SESSION B E YOU My goal is to capture authentic images of you and your horse. Select clothes that reflect your personal style and taste rather than forcing yourself into something trendy or outside your comfort zone.
AT T I R E For horse & rider sessions, I usually recommend one riding outfit and one casual outfit. You can dress in show attire or just breeches and a tucked in shirt, but make sure you are dressed to impress! For the second outfit, feel free to wear a dress and cowboy boots, your prom dress, jeans and a t-shirt - whatever you feel most confident and comfortable in! You have 2 hours, so bring as many outfits as you would like! The time is yours to use.
G ROOM I NG Your horse is a huge part of this shoot. Please follow the following guidelines when getting them ready. - Basic grooming including curry, brush, pick hooves. Show sheen is great, but don’t go too crazy! - Brush mane and tail - no shavings! - Make sure their bridle path is clipped; whiskers optional. - Hoof polish is always an added plus. - For portraiture (also known as black background portraits) a bridle is preferred. - For horse and rider sessions, you may use a bridle or a “show” halter. - Braiding is optional.
(investment) While we love and appreciate digital imagery, we still delight in producing tactile prints and other tangible prducts - items that are sure to be treasured for years to come! Your photos deserve more than a flashdrive. THey are meant to be printed and enjoyed in your home. Showcase your favorite images in style with a variety of products including books, image boxes, graduation cards, wall art... you name it! In addition, we offer digital file options so you can share your favorite images on social media and preserve the session images on a USB drive.
