is an initiative of Fayetteville Prayer Room to mobilize the Body of Christ to pray for our community. The goal is to have every street, neighborhood and school in Fayetteville covered with prayer at least 4 times during the year…more if possible.
WHAT IS PRAYER WALKING?
Prayer Walking is the physical act of going to a neighborhood where you want to see God demonstrate His power - then walking and praying – asking God to change things for the better – for the people, families, businesses, and schools in that area… and believing He will.
BIBLICAL EXAMPLE
WALK Joshua and Caleb Prayer Walked throughout the Promised Land, desiring to see things from God’s perspective. Even though the land had “giants”, God gave them faith that Israel could succeed in conquering the land. Their faith eventually prevailed.
MISSIONARY STRATEGY
Mission organizations often send advance teams into a country where few Christians exist. These teams walk the perimeter of strategic cities and neighborhoods, praying for strongholds to be torn down and for the Gospel to be advanced. Missionaries report they can tell a big difference in areas where forerunners have faithfully sought God’s favor through on-sight prayer.

We believe God wants to bless Fayetteville in tangible ways: Lower Crime Rates Improved Economic Climate Fewer Divorces Fewer Abuse Cases More Adoptions Fewer Drunk Drivers
Other cities in the U.S and Europe have undertaken similar prayer initiatives and have seen measurable improvement in many of these statistics. Who knows what God has in store for Fayetteville when every citizen gets prayed for during the year!
