Vernacular “The everyday cafe”
A cafe meant to be an appreciation for the charm to be found in the messy clusters of the Malaysian streets, from the intimate alleyways to the unpredictable arrangements of air conditioning compressors forming most of the malaysian shophouse facades.

Amp Cafe connects with the street of Ampang, with the vision of acting as an accessible “park” on the outside for the public. Where people can come retreat from the busy jammed roads of Ampang and relax, grab a bite to eat at Amp Cafe’s “public realm”. Rest, even for just a moment.

The Campfire 02
Wesley Methodist Church wanted to renovate a small chapel to accomodate outstation cancer patients staying at the church domitory before their hospital appointments. The chapel was reimagined to simulate a “campfire” where patients gather around a warm fire surrounded by trees and share stories while enjoying warm food.

Haven
Chaah is a quiet old little community located about two hours drive from the nearest city of Johor. The Tamil Methodist Church (TMC) had a vision to spring life into the slow paced lifestyle of Chaah littered with old and worn buildings with a vibrant greenhouse extension to the side of the church, forming a new Haven of Chaah.

Ting & Sek’s Playhouse
We were approached by an old but jolly couple who were not embarrassed to express their happy and playful characteristics. To be a reflection of their unique jolly personality, the house is playful in nature and strays from the conventional. It celebrates the curiosity of the inner child within all of us.

WANDER TO WONDER
The Other World 03
After the neighbours of a semi detached house unit moved out, the clients bought it with the intention of converting it into an indoor garden for recreational activities with a VR golf room and home spa to entertain their friends who visit often. It has a private office floating above so the client can work with more spaciousness.
