Anthony Henderson was born on January 21, 1965, in Memphis, Tennessee, to his parents, the late Mary and Clyde Nesbitt. He was the second son of five siblings. After a long battle fighting against cancer, the Lord called his name early Sunday morning, February 12, 2023, saying, “Anthony, this battle is not yours; come unto me and take your rest.”

Anthony confessed Christ at an early age at New Salem Missionary Baptist Church. He graduated from Booker T. Washington High School, class of 1984. He worked with the Hospitality Industry (Peabody, DoubleTree. & Hilton) for many years, and Kroger employed him until his death.

Anthony Henderson rested peacefully in his home, said farewell to this life, and crossed to the other side to be with his Lord. He leaves to cherish heartfelt memories his wife, Bridgette Henderson; stepson, Antwon Brown, stepdaughter, Shirelle Doss; three sisters, Angela Nesbitt, Brenda (Greg) Ballard; three brothers, Isaac Henderson, Clyde Davis, Darryl Webster, father and mother-in-law, Percy and Enda Hollins, five sisters-in-law, Ptosha (Bennie) Montague, Linda (Roosevelt) Lewis, Avonette Beloch, Nakia Beloch, Alicia Beloch, seven grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends, and a special “Man’s Best friend,” Shadow.

The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not want. He maketh me to lie down in green pastures; He leadeth me beside the still waters. He restoreth my soul;

He leadeth me in the paths of righteousness for His name’s sake.

Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death I will fear no evil; for Thou art with me; Thy rod and Thy staff they comfort me. Thou preparest a table before me in the presence of mine enemies; Thou anointest my head with oil; my cup runneth over. Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life; and I will dwell in the house of the Lord for ever.
