to the late Willie Richardson and Flora Mae Jones. Our Heavenly Father called him home on Saturday, October 8, 2016. He was surrounded by family and friends as he began his peaceful journey to his eternal home. He is preceded in death by his daughter, Latoya Richardson.

At an early age, Willie accepted Christ as his personal savior at St. John Baptist Church under the leadership of the late Rev. L.D. McGhee. He later joined Tried Stone Baptist Church under the late Bobby Brooks.

Willie was proud of the Orange Mound community. Willie graduated from Melrose High School in 1975 and attended Rust College in Holly Springs, Mississippi. He previously worked for Nike and Memphis, Light, Gas, and Water.

Scripture: Old Testament New Testament

Throughout Willie’s life, he was known for doing what he wanted and not apologizing for it. This is what made him free! Willie knew no strangers and always left a lasting impression on those with whom he came into contact. Willie enjoyed cooking for his friends and family. Willie was a true living testimony patient of the LVAD program. Thank God for a second chance at life. Willie is survived by his children Antwan Richardson, Brian Richardson, and LaTonya Richardson; six grandchildren Briandious Butler, Lakiova Milan, Jamiya Richardson, Makayla Richardson, Malachi Richardson, and Xavier Richardson; mother and stepfather Flora Mae Jones and Lucious Jones Sr.; Three sisters: Margaret R. Barnes, Darlene Richardson, and Lorie Richardson; brothers, Randy Richardson and Robert Lee Richardson. Five stepsisters; Debra Jackson, Carolyn Jones ( Charles), Joyce Jones, Clarice Newson, Shirley Newson (Ira). Stepbrothers: John Franklin and Lucious Jones Jr. (Amy). Uncles: Curtis Jones (Emma), John Richardson (Lee). Aunts Ella Mae Broome, Mary Ann Richardson, Ethel Sanders, and Flora Mae Richardson. Godsisters: Betty Nunley and Linda Wells. A host of nieces, nephews, cousins, family, and friends.
