Last week 10 volunteers from the Northern Trust Jersey office hung up their Fund Administration hats and embarked on a project at Durrell Wildlife Conservation Trust on their Corporate Responsibility day. They removed sycamore saplings from the free-ranging marmoset and tamarin woods. Sycamores seed freely and grow at a rapid rate blocking much needed light for the animals and for the slower growing valuable trees within the enclosure.

Spearpoint jumps to help charity horse show

Voisin and Volaw collaborated recently to support Diabetes Week. Fundraising initiatives included a diabetes-friendly food sale, a ‘Guess the Baby’ photo competition and a raffle. The two companies raised £360 over the week.

Earlier this month Spearpoint Limited supported the St Lawrence Horse Show, the only remaining parish horse show in Jersey. The first show took place in 1956 at St Biles Field, First Tower, and moved to St Andrew’s Park for many years to follow. Since 1986, the three day event has been held at Tamarind in St Peter. Spearpoint sponsored a number of classes in what was a fun weekend for all, which also successfully raised much-needed money for local charities.
