P is for ‌ Pipe This is Joe. Joe lived in Jersey when German forces occupied the Island from 1940 to 1945. The people in the background are his friends and family. After Jersey was liberated from German rule, Joe made sure that no one forgot about what happened to people in Jersey at that time. Joe loved to have a pipe. He liked this particular pipe so much that when it broke, he fixed it together with cellotape!

S is for‌ Ships These ships are beached on the sand. That means they are stuck in the sand until the tide comes up and they can sail away again. This wasn’t an accident though, they are there on purpose. If you look closely you can see a cart loading things onto or taking things off the ship.
