Introduction Technology is forever developing, with new innovative ideas surfacing faster than ever. With intelegant technology increasing, garments must also adapt to meet new needs. This trend looks forward to a future where our everyday ideologies are pushed and challenged to a new level. In S/ S18 performance wear will be at an exemplary standard, materials becoming the forefront in innovation, with new hydrodynamic, breathability and anti-microbial concepts emerging.

Vison Combining the need for technical advances with the increasingly fast-paced modern day life, Assisted Technology is made. Drawing inspiration from BMW’s new concept car, Vision Next 100, predicting the future of mobility, this trend predicts how performance wear will enrich in S/S18 using the shape of the manoeuvrable geometric wheel arches and the 3D intricate prism dashboard and translating this into wearable technology.

Shapes follow the female form and are technically improved to provide creative interest to hydrodynamiclike forms. Stretch materials in deep colour-blocking and contrasting stitching outline a sleek silhouette. Seam sealing and ergonomic cut lines create a sense of high performance.

Colours The autumnal tones from F/W17-18 evolve into a sweet mix for S/S18 seeing yellow becoming more saturated and growing warmer in feel. Colour is brushed with coral making pink rustic tones a transformation. Juicy succulent shades of satsuma yellow and spicy orange spring to life while deep pomegranate and smoked grape are more soothing shades against the strong apricot accents. Muted pastel colours provide a hazy sun-bleached aesthetic accentuating the feel of heat.
