THE MICHAEL BIGGS AWARD FOR EXCELLENCE IN THE VISUAL ARTS AND DESIGN

Dr Michael Biggs, our founding Headteacher, was a practising artist and lover of the Arts. Before he left, he was eager to donate an award to a student each year for their exceptional talents in the Visual Arts.

The Jpg Award

Awarded to a student from Year 13 who has voluntarily given his or her time to enhance school life through their proactive involvement in school events and support of charity activities. This student is a true JESS ambassador.

THE CHAIRMAN’S CUP

Inaugurated by James Berry, the Chairman of the JESS Board, in 2010 and awarded to a Year 13 student who has shown consistent academic excellence in the IB Programme.
