HENGQIN HUAFA PLAZA PLOT 41&43 CONCEPTUAL DESIGN(Competition)

The project located in East Pudong district, Shanghai. Our design concept based on client's bussiness tradition which is inspried from the logistics container, and the cascading forms build up commerical, official and open spaces for public.

This Project is located in at the North-east corner of the Zhuhai Hengqin Island, within close proximity of the Shizimen Commercial District, The design concept is inspired by a Chinese poem called “The Sea”. By using the “See” which is the most important idea of this poem as the design principle, we maximize the sea view without blocking the residential tower next to the site. The architectural form and horizontal façade feature reshape the urban skyline.

WUHAN FORTE YINFENG DISTRICT MIXED-USE PROJECT (Detail Design)

ZHONGTOU JIANBANG ZHUANSHAN MIXED-USE PTOJECT (Conceptual Design)

This project located in central Hankou district, Wuhan City. The main commerical functions are wholesale and retail department stores, and the roof restaurant blocks compose high-end communities, service office towers and surrounding. Our design aims to stimulate the commercial vitality of the old city, creating a simple, generous and elegant visual experience.

The project is located in the new east district of Jinan City, Shandong Province. The site has excellent views and yet the height difference is a challenging design opportunity to create interesting spaces. The design theme of this project is based on Jinan’s distinct element, “Springs”. The design uses the movement of water to construct architectural form and create exciting retail spaces. creating exciting retail spaces.

JIANGYIN MAMBAT SHOPPING MALL DESIGN (Competition)

CHANGE — RENOVATION (Academic Work)

Jiangyin is the first capital country in China, a garden riverside city. Our design concept inspired from "Water and Rock", although water for the world is to soft things, but it can also sculpture hard stone. We hope to compare the flow of people into water, the image of the building as a rock, to create exchange feast for "water and stone", "People and Mall".

This is a reconstruction project, about the realization of the city's exhibition and public communication to follow a variety of different cultures to get better mutual understanding between groups and individuals. Inspired from the art of film, we can change the cell units and create spaces for integration of digital imaging to explain the historic culture.

There are two striped office buildings and one landmark 8-storey tower parked on the site.

The EVA circualtion could cross the courtyard to complete necessary fire fighting security work.

Retails layout on the ground floor and connected by two bridges to maximize plot value, also create a personal courtyard environment.

The building form compose excellent interface respond to surronding and the 24-meters depth ensure flexible and comfortable for office.

In order to obtain the fire ascending surface of the middle two towers, the site is divided into three blocks by the city road and has the following drawbacks: - Undermine the integrity of the commercial podium; - Not conducive to commercial streamline connectivity; - Affect the use of Roof garden space.

A more complete commercial podium and good relationships with towers. Disadvantages: -The central tower in the middle south blocked circulation; -Too many towers affect the commerical streamline and roof garden spaces; -View sight is more serious for surrounding buildings.

Five towers are divided into four towers. Advantages: -The ground floor obtain horizontal and vertical public access; -Tower height increased, enhanced district landmark; -More spaces opened to public and less visual obstruction.

1 Facade Design Principles: Due to the huge volume of a 7-storey podium, our design intend to intersperse the facade with a variety of blocks in the overall design, and with the consideration of urban planning road dipartition, we strongly week the interface scale along street. There are 4 main feature facade patterns on the podium: light brown alunimum with frosted glass; stone cover with different module size; ceramic fritted glass; and glass curtain wall with eterpan board decoration. Towers stress the simple vertical linear style, which compare to the complex horizontal podium.

1. Introuce the two story parking space in the south , show a comprehensive exploration of the underground, and forming a double layer. 2. Use the atrium part of the top two floors to create a platform for the weather open roof space, pull the top of the business value. In the future, the ground garage for commercial functions can be flexible changed according to investment situation.

Nanjing Hexi New CBD is a commerical, creativity and cultural center, and our project is located in the south of the core area, with high-rise office, lofts, service apartments and boutique commercial shopping malls. Our design response recognises the impor tance of unity and connectivity to both urban and cultural contexts. The entire site is envisioned to become an abstract Chinese garden with a centralised hub for the community. A series of fall-sky, terraces and explore path are woven through the site, adding vibrancy and attracting those from all walks of life.

Design Description Guiyang is the center of cultural, economic and political activities in Guizhou province. Embraced by beautiful natural landscape, Guiyang is among the most popular tourism spots in China. The site is located within the Daximen business district. This project is therefore offered the opportunity to succeed. The shape of the site is highly irregular, cut by the Shixi River from north to south. These conditions make it difficult to sustain a continuity. The project will rocket the value of the urban waterscape, fullfilling the potentials of the landscape and waterviews, to create an attractive Waterfront destination.

青瓦街巷 历史韵味 2-3层的商业街区,青瓦坡顶,挑檐微倾,层层叠叠。尺度 宜人,曲径 通幽。将贵阳古镇的味道融入其中,用现代的 手法化繁为简,结合木质构架、玻璃、炫酷广告等元素,打 造既有商业气氛又有历史韵味的新中国古典商业街巷。

曲水流觞 临水景观 利用原有河道 岸线,覆 盖河道区域,打造浅水景观,结合 外摆区,营造宜人的亲水休闲氛围。栈道、水榭、浅水池, 相得益彰。结合贵阳红枫湖地区的枫树景观,融入现代膜 结构景观构筑物,打造白天晚上活力十足的亲水景观商业 带。

2-3 layers of commercial blocks, with green tile roof, cornice tilting and layer upon layer. Combined with the wooden frame, glass, cool advertising and other elements, we create commerical atmosphere and the historical flavor of the new Chinese classical commercial streets.

We use the existing river shoreline and cover the river area, create shallow landscape, which is combined with the outer swing area, to create a pleasant atmosphere of hydrophilic leisure place. Plank Road, waterside, shallow pool, complement with each other.

Design Description This Project is located in at the North-east corner of the Zhuhai Hengqin Island, within close proximity of the Shizimen Commercial District, The design concept is inspired by a Chinese poem called “The Sea”. By using the “See” which is the most important idea of this poem as the design principle, we maximize the sea view without blocking the residential tower next to the site. The architectural form and horizontal façade feature reshape the urban skyline.

This is a reconstruction project, which will be designed as an “urban living room”. We must go beyond traditional cognition of public space to design a versatile and flexible space. Here, people are detached from their identities, collecting the city experience under the guidance of digital imaging visual and join in a discussion of the city.

Tianlun mill renovation project is located in Orange Isle, Changsha, China. It is made up of three main buildings, one paper-making building which has been demolished because of disrepair and two pulping buildings are still preserved. The Paper Mill was once the German’s private hospital and sold as Tianlun Paper Mill in 1947, then used as staff quarter in 1985. As the government is promoting of Orange Isle’s rebuilt plan, I am planning to rebuilt it for the future.

After the box is unfolded, it can be used for temporary show room to provide all kinds of exhibition.

Retaining the exterior surface’s material and texture, in order to get enough natural light, rebuilding the roof with big sky light window. In order to create complete band-new interior space, I abandon the original bearing structure, with steel skeleton bearing system instead. Make the quiet repaired old buildings been rehabilitated, to make the new and old parts get together by use new connected channel. Reforming the old buildings and rehabilitating the new one, it appars to be a new life for the urban living room, as well the future.

Cube is the most simple architectural element that popular in the architecture professional area. A cube space is also very flexible and multi-functional. Transformations of the interfaces represent that in the same architectural space, different background supply the appropriate environmnent for diversity activities. These independent and private space suits for people's different needs. Public image beyond the public spaces around the city is a necessary platform to reach the communication. Let the form of space encroaching upon the human imagination, and further extended to the virtual world space.

We need a variety of spaces, to achieve different functional requirements. In the same architectural space, different background supply the appropriate environmnent for diversity activities. Inspired from the ar t of film, we can change the box to create spaces for integration of digital imaging, to show people the city culture and promote the exchange of culture. These independent and private space suits for people's different needs. The independent exhibition space can also display all types, including video, painting, calligraphy, and even sculpture and pictures, available to display a variety of urban culture, achieve the function of “urban living room�.

It's a protective resort to against the hot climate in summer as well as a sustainable system with smart skins of exterior surface and interior interface. The structure of the center must be available in 3d printing technology that based on various testing and development.

FUNCTIONAL SECTIONS Depends on the reflection to the local environment, we can change the skin’s density to make the open surface for public view and the private surface for protection. In order to find the best cross-section for the outer and inner skin, I have tried different proposals. The circular shape works better than other square or polygon shape, as it is soft and more safety for kids. After more research progress, the outer one is made of “pea” shape, reduce the solar radiation and collect water at the same time; the inner one is made of ellipse, more soft for touching and save materials.

The cooling and ventilation system of the structure included two stratagies. One was to shape the lanscape and entrance so that wind could be gathered and channeled into the interior. The second was the use of water vapour, which cooled the temperature of the inlcoming wind, before it entered the interior.
