Resume OBJECTIVE To better my skills in software development and to focus on the company’s main goal of delivering great services.
Microsoft Headquarters Software Developer 6750 North Andrews Avenue #400 Fort Lauderdale, FL 33309
EDUCATION
Dear Satya Nadella,
EXPERIENCE Masterpiece Yearbook
I would like to take part as a worker in your office at Microsoft as a software developer in training to get the open world experience. I envy the way your agency runs, the morals your company have and the way you handle yourselves in a professional manner. As the arts and academics editor of my middle school yearbook, I have mastered Adobe programs, InDesign, and Microsoft. I also got into the School of the arts in my major of communications. I have been an interviewer, photographer and copy and captions editor, written copy and edited my spreads for the section of the yearbook. I am very good for this position because I take my job very seriously, I work well with others and I finish all my deadlines according to schedule. I understand that in this area of profession the client’s needs come first and are the most important in this industry. After making two masterpiece yearbooks I’ve learned that the different customers have different needs and that criticism is key in making something better. We make sure that every student in our school is included in this book so that they can appreciate it for years to come. I am willing to sacrifice what is needed to make this final product the best it possibly can be. I appreciate you taking consideration into accepting me for this job opportunity. I have a fully documented resume that expresses my experience and my capabilities directly to you. I appreciate this opportunity and I look forward to hearing back from you. Yours Truly, Jeremiah Schoen Enclosed: Resume

I met Ms. Samons dring my interview at Bak and after I got into Bak I started journalism in sixth grade in Journalism I and creative writing. After that first year I took my first yearbook class with her and in my final eighth grade year I took yearbook again. I have learned how to use InDesign, Photo shop, I have mastered my skills in Microsoft and I have learned how to use Adobe applications. I have also learned how to work with a group better, how to meet specific deadline and how to use my skills to the best of my ability. This course is valuable to take because it helps you learn skills in different internet applications. You can use these skills in the future depending on what job you have such as newspaper editor or reporter or working in different publications.

Students enjoy a variety of forms of entertainment from music to movies and much more

n outburst of laughter erupted from a group of eighth grade girls in the courtyard, who chatted about the long awaited, new “Five Seconds of Summer” album. Entertainment was a vast land of apps, television, movies, and much more. “My favorite form of entertainment is television, because there is always something to watch in a variety of different shows,” Carlee Tew communications major (7), said. But it was not just television that had teen audiences’ attention. Music was also a hit. “I like Drake because my favorite style of music is rap and hip-hop,” Gabriel Hudgeon theater major (8), said. A study by National Public Radio, (NPR), showed that most teens, age 12 to 16 have related to a band member, a song, or simply identified with music. “[My favorite type of music] is classical, because I sing it in school,” Ryan Heran vocal major (6), said. “I think it would be different if it wasn’t my major.” Much more than overpriced
concessions, movies also scored big with the teen audience. “My favorite movie is ‘Think Like a Man 2’, because Kevin Hart is funny, and it makes my day better if it hasn’t been too great,” Devonn Lewis communications major (7), said. “I’m a big fan of the ‘Wizard of Oz’. I like to sing along, and it’s a classic,” Tew said. The three top box office hits of 2014 were “Guardians of the Galaxy”, grossing approx. $295 million at the box office, “Captain America: The Winter Soldier” approx. $259 million at the box office, and “The Lego Movie” with approx. $257 million at the box office. “I really liked ‘The Lego Movie’,” Heran said. “It was funny, and the characters were cool.” According to the Huffington Post, music had been the top source of entertainment since 1975, and still was as of June 2014. Althea Celey, theater major (8), said, “I love ‘Five Seconds of Summer’. I feel like I really connect to the members, and their music. I feel like a part of their journey.” by Finnley Senese

JEREMIAH SCHOEN Reflection #2 I leaned that while making spreads you must be consistant throughout everything. Throughout the first and final draft the consistancy errors were fixed and better photos were chosen. Some things that could have been changed were the consistacy of caption and copy size. I feel that this spread has really imporved from the beginning and it is better than before. We had to cretae a sidebar, choose where photos would be ploaced and how to make the pull out quotes for the spread. Color - Size 8 - 5-48980: Bak Middle School of the Arts

JEREMIAH SCHOEN Reflection #4 During the 2014-2015 school year on the Masterpiece yearbook I was the Arts and Academics editor I overlook over every spread that involved the art areas or the academic classes. I covered multiple events from sports games to academic book battles. I went from just taking photos to copy and caption writing. I have helped create spreads and create sidebars for different spreads. All of the deadlines I had I have met and all together as a group and family we have created a masterpiece, the Masterpiece Yearbook. Throughout this year we have learned to make our own publications such as the literary magazine and our yearbook. Each year we also make a plan for the next theme each year. I helped my group choose colors, fonts and our theme and subtheme. I was honored to be part of the 2014-2015 yearbook staff.
JEREMIAH SCHOEN Reflection #5 During this year I completed my goals but not without hardships. There were problems with getting our photos because some people did not fold up to their assignments in our group so we had to find a solution to our problem. I took up the responsibility of just getting the photos so that we could meet our deadlines. I feel that I handled the problem professionally and I got the job done.

tudents had a voice that could not be expressed. It was an understanding, some sort of kinship between them. Within a classroom, statistics flew and knowledge flourished. It was something that could not be described. Communication was key. Teachers wanted to deliver to all learning styles; visual, verbal, kinesthetic, aural, and logical. Within the campus, there were many talents, and with the talents came the learning styles. Together we learn the ways of education. Together we learn the path to success. Together we learn the steps to intelligence.Together we learn the future. Students learned from each other. When one could not understand a teacher’s explanation, they knew they could always rely on their peers. Mistakes were valuable; they were a learning process. As pencil hit paper, a flurry of thoughts flew through the students. Such colorful analyses flew through the young minds. Together, the students learned. by Heather Rollins

e ran to the studio, trying to get everyone in place for the show. He tried to calm down, but the time to air was fast approaching. When it was finally time, he counted down, and the crew began the show. There was a time limit for preparation for the announcements. Due to the time, students rushed to get the show going without any mistakes. “We have a limited amount of time, causing us to rush. It might be stressful before, during, and after the show, but it is pure excitement,” Sasha Monaco communications major (7) said. Even though time was very limited, students always found a way to be successful. “Emotions that run through you is definitely confident when presenting, or else you seem like you don’t know what you’re talking about,” Spruce said. “It’s normal to get nervous before going live, but we always pull together and put on a good show.” by Brandon Lee

They gathered into teams and rushed to get their iPads. They logged into Cranium Core, a program for academic questions, and started to practice. The club was focused on reading the Sunshine State books. The club members focused on practicing so they could win. “My favorite book is ‘Half Upon a Time’,” Maxwell said, “because it incorporates different tales.” The students logged off and felt hopeful knowing that they have a chance to win. by Aditya Jadvani
