HOUSE

2014 | Curitiba

The house aimed at the development of two subjects in the college: architecture project and interior design. Involving two themes, it was possible to have autonomy in the creation of the project according to the singularity of each student. The only parameter passed to the students was the size of the site. In order to escape from the conventional, the residence had as concept the open and inverted house. The social area connected with the single bedroom and the kitchen. The service area, closet and bathroom were the spaces with wall dividing them. The kitchen is located in front of the land, the living room and the garden gain direct sunlight. The room had views of the living room as well as privacy facing the back of the grounds. The furniture chosen was from renowned architects and designers such as Saarinen, Alvar Aalto, and from stores as well as Herman Miller, Vitra and Knoll. The materials applied were: wood, concrete, smoothed cement and glass. The difference in the house is in the fireplace between dining and living and in the cobogos that make the physical demarcation of the kitchen, but not visually. In addition, the double right foot in the living room gains prominence and extends the space. floor plan

UNIVERSITY STUDENT HOUSING The theme of the Final Graduation Work was a University Student Housing for exchangers. Due to the easy access to the exchange of university experiences at an international level, the project was chosen to suply this demand in the city of Curitiba, Brazil. The land, strategically located, is close to the main colleges and universities of the city, as well as to bus and trade points.

perspective from the Paiol

2014 | Curitiba The shape of the building emerged from a study carried out with the Paiol Theather, located next block, and with Conselheiro Laurindo Street (wide movement of pedestrians and vehicles). The rooms, leisure room, kitchen and laundry, administration, staff area, technical area, entrance for identification, reception, closetz space, study space, lecture room and outdoor area with deck were adequate.

In addition, three types of services - cafeteria, gym and laundry were designed together with the building to aid in the functioning of the House as well as in its surroundings. The parking lot occupies the basement which also has a large bike rack. Due to the size of the land and the building, the materials used were wood, apparent concrete, white paint and glass. Such a choice was to refer to modern Brazilian architecture.

Use of modules proportional to the areas scaled according to the environment and sectors established by the program.

Simulation of the projection of sectors proportional to the areas of the environments within the terrain. Drawing of the terrain suggests a type of projection of the building.

Use of the input shaft of the Paiol Theather as a connection to the building. Projection of a large block. Need to connect the deployment of the building as a whole.

Clearance of the Conselheiro Laurindo Street - road with greater flow of automobiles - for users’ privacy, greater acoustic isolation and visual valorization of the student residence and Paiol. The connection of the input zof the Teatro Paiol is a space range for pedestrian movement.

Union of university accommodation and separation of coffee - connected by architectural element. Proportionally projected form, creation of small squares and distance of the ways.

OIKAWA CLINIC

+ Alessandra Lustoza Franco 2017 | Curitiba

The client had purchased two floors of a commercial building and aimed to turn them into a general care clinic for the public. Because they were simple procedures, it was requested the largest number of possible practices, making better use of the space. All health surveillance standards were met (DML, waterproof coatings, a hydraulic point in each office, among others). Respecting all the client’s requests and the norms, the comfort of the space and the use of materials with warm colors and woody textures were essential items in the architectural and interior design. There are 23 rooms with service on both floors (10 on the lower floor and 13 on the upper floor), a reception on the first floor and a waiting room on the second floor, an administrative room and a rest room for employees on the first floor, besides the technical part (toilets for employees and patients, DML, waste shelter and IT). The clinic consist of: table for attendance, low support desk, stretcher, hydraulic point and dumps. The light shades and browns create spaces of coziness, aiming to soften the medical appointments. All projects (architectural, hydraulic points, electrical points, lighting, flooring, coatings, air conditioning, furniture detailing), budget and choice of materials were prepared by us.

2017 | Curitiba

Uniting the best use of the space of a 70sqm apartment with a clean design, this was the goal of the clients of the apartment 705, Gendai Residences. From this, were listed the classic design furniture that would be purchased. Some of them were: oval tulip table and tulip chairs in the living room (Saarinen), Womb chair for reading (Saarinen), Masters chair in the dresser (Philippe Starck), aluminum chair in the office (Eames) and Copper Round pendant lamp in the dining room (Tom Dixon).

PHOTOGRAPHY

As a complement to the activity as an architect, another casual practice is photography. In this case it happens spontaneously, both in daily life and on trips around the world.
