All of chords can be mixed with a logical harmony. Jazz harmony is the theory and practice of how chords are used in jazz music. The chords had lot possibilities of combinations, the most used are major and minor. The major chord consists of a Third major and fifth, and the minor chord consists of a minor third and fifith.

For example ,a major scale harmonisation:
The first chord is major seventh because the third and the seventh are major. The second chord is minor seventh because the third is major and the seventh is minor. The third is minor seventh because the third is minor and the seventh is minor. The fourth is major seventh because the the third and the seventh are major. The fifth is dominant. The sixth is minor because the third is major and the seventh is menor.
The form most used is the second, fifth and first chord. Such as the Blue Bossa: The song is in Cmaj so for an improvisation in addition to this scale we can use the major scales of C,F,G. These chords in the scale of C are the first fourth and fifth.
