In the month of July, one day blessing meetings were arranged on 22nd July at Chidambaram, Cuddalore district and on 23rd July at Karaikudi, Sivagangai district to proclaim the Lordâ&#x20AC;&#x2122;s word and to pray for those expecting deliverance from their sinful bondages and bodily ailments. My precious brother/sister in Christ, It is a great joy for me to wish you abundance of God’s blessings in your life for this month. Because He cares for you He knows all your needs and satisfies you in times of drought (Psalm 37:19). He will satisfy you according to His glorious riches and pour out His heavenly blessings on you. He is a God of Glory (Acts 7:2). Christ in us is the Hope of Glory (Col. 1:27). Yes, He will supply all your needs (Phil. 4:19). The promise of God for the month of September is, “For I will pour water on him who is thirsty, and floods on the dry ground; I will pour My Spirit on your descendants, and My blessing on your offspring” (Isaiah 44:3). Yes, God will make rivers of living water to flow out of you. When there is a slight rainfall in our cities, immediately they become pools of water, because there is no way for the water to flow out. This happens especially in my city, Chennai. And along with this every time after the rain, because of mosquitoes, there is widespread sickness, virus and germs. People wait for rain to get drinking 4

water, but then when it comes, it brings disasters, because there is no way for the water to exit. At the same time during this summer time, one day I went and opened the tap for fresh water to come which is supplied by the corporation, but unfortunately only air came. And after sometime, they switched on the bore water which is from the ground. And I said, ‘now I have wonderful water’, but alas! It was salty water! I couldn’t wash my face and mouth with that because, it was so salty.

REFRESHING WATERS My friend maybe you have been waiting long for refreshing water in your life, but you end up with only salty and unhygienic water. Your life may be salty with no holiness, no joy in family life, no prosperity, no employment, no encouragement, no breakthroughs, no success etc. Maybe fear has gripped your soul and you may be wondering how you are going to live. God says, ‘My child, I will pour water on you as you thirst for me and become a thirsty land.’ When God delivered the Israelites from the Egyptian captivity, He performed mighty wonders, miracles and signs

(Exodus 12:41; 13:14). But when they came to the edge of the Red Sea, they didn’t know where to go and what to do for Pharaoh’s army came chasing them from behind to destroy them. They cried to God and He amazingly opened the Red Sea before them. In the midst of sea, God made a dry land for them to cross, and led them to the land which flows with milk and honey (Exodus 3:8). As soon as they crossed over to the other side, their enemies continued to chase them getting into the dry land, but God caused the waters to close in on them and they were drowned. The same waters which was opened to give way to God’s people, destroyed their enemies (Exo. 14:21-30). As they were walking in the wilderness, waiting for God’s promise to come, they became extremely thirsty, and longed for water. Then they found some water, but when they tasted it, it was bitter (Exo. 15:23), so they could not drink it. They cried out to God for help. As they thirsted for water, they thirsted for God to give them pure water, living water. Yes, my friend, God saw their thirst. Maybe today you are having a thirst for a good job, for monetary blessings, for a life partner, for good health, for success in your endeavours, etc. All you need to do is look to

Jesus who says, “Have faith in Me. Ask Me. Then you will receive and your joy will be complete.” So ask Him now! Yes, the Israelites cried out to God saying: “You are the living God, come Lord and satisfy our thirst.” And God came and turned the bitter water into sweet water. And He said: “Iam the lord who heals you. I will never allow sickness to destroy anybody.” According to that promise, the Israelites enjoyed perfect health all the days of their wanderings—forty years, in the wilderness (Exo. 15:26; 23:25; Psalm 105:37). And God gave them sweet water and life (Exo. 15:25). Yes, God will do it for you.

THIRST FOR JESUS, THE LIVING WATER Today, you need to thirst for this living God. Jesus understands your thirst. On the cross as he hung carrying all our sins, all our sorrows, all our sicknesses upon Himself, He said, ‘I thirst.’ But they gave Him bitter gall (John 19:28, 29). For your sake and to understand your thirst and your agony He tasted the bitterness and became cursed (Gal. 3:13). Today, would you cry out to Jesus, ‘Lord, I have only bitter and salty water in my life; I thirst for You to give me life-giving water; Jesus, You are the Living Water, come into my heart, come into my heart!’ There was a lady who came to draw water from the well in a place called Samaria. some journey, was sitting at the well and asked the woman for some water to drink. The woman was surprised that a Jew wanted to drink water from the hands of a Samaritan woman! She did not know Jesus. Then Jesus told her, “But whoever drinks of the water that I shall give him will never thirst. But the water that I shall give him will become in him a fountain of water springing up into everlasting life” (John 4:14). Immediately that Samaritan woman said to Jesus, “Sir, give me that water, that I thirst not, neither come here to draw daily.” Jesus said, “Go, call your husband and come here” and she replied, “I have no husband.” Jesus said, “you have spoken the truth because you lived with five husbands and the man with whom you are living now is not your husband” (John 4:15-19). She said, “Sir, I perceive that you are a prophet” (John 4:19) and she ran into the city and told everyone, ‘I have found a prophet. He has quenched the thirst of my soul. I was living with husband after husband, but my heart was full of bitterness and sorrow caused by each man who called himself my husband. But now, here is a man, who has spoken about my sorrow. He has spoken about

my bitterness. Come and see Him. He has given me Living Water, a Hope to live in this world.’ Then they all came running to Jesus, the source of Living Water. The Holy Spirit, the Living Water that Jesus gave to the woman worked in her and sanctified her. He, the Holy Spirit, revealed Jesus to her and transformed her life. Through her, the entire village believed in Jesus and received salvation (John 4:28-42). ...Jesus stood and cried out, saying, ‘If anyone thirsts, let him come to Me, and drink. He who believes in Me, as the Scripture has said, out of his heart will flow rivers of living water.” (John 7:37, 38) Yes, my friends, you need not die of thirst; need not suffer because of salty water and bitter water which is around you. The sorrows of the world need not kill you. God the Living Water is ready to come to you. So open your heart to Jesus. He will pour out His Living Water on you and quench your thirst. He will strengthen you in your weakness. He will lift you up and honour you. On the cross, when Jesus was pierced on His side, water and blood came out of His body (John 19:34). Today when you call on Jesus the Living Water, Jesus will come into your heart. And the blood of Jesus Christ will cleanse you from every sin which is stopping you from enjoying God’s life (1 John 1:9). He will make a way in the midst of all the salty sea water. God will make a way for you. Jesus says, “I am the way (John 14:6). I will lead you (Jer. 31:9). I will go before you and I will make the crooked paths straight before you. I will make the treasures come to you (Isa. 45:2, 4). I will make the riches come; I will give you a title of honour. I will change your sorrow into joy (Prov. 10:22; Isa. 60:6, 17, 20; John 16:20). I will give you honour in double measure for all the shame you have undergone” (Isaiah 61:7). Today that grace is coming on you. Turn your heart to Jesus, ‘the Living Water’. Open your mouth and say, “Lord Jesus, come into my heart. Wash me with your blood and fill me with Thy life.” He will do it for you right now.

PRAYER: “Lord Jesus, listen to the cry of your children. Enter into them O Lord. Holy Spirit flow into their souls! Let all the salty water which is eroding their blessings, the waters of sin, addictions, pornography and lusts come out of their spirits, in Jesus’ Name and Father, wash them with Thy blood. Let all the bitter waters leave them. All the curses which have come upon them because of their sin, let them come out of their spirits in Jesus’ Name. Let them be freed, in Jesus’ Name. Lord, You who turned the water into wine, thank you for sweetening and exalting the lives of your children. Amen.”

From now on, Jesus Christ ‘the Living Water’ is in you; Praise Him for that. Say “Thank you Jesus for being in me.”

STREAMS POURED ON DRY GROUND The Lord says, “I will pour the streams on the dry ground (Isa. 44:3).’ In Tamil version it is beautifully given: “On the dry, barren ground where there can be no cultivation, which will not grow any food, I will pour the river upon it. I will not just allow the river pass by that, not just river flowing on that dry ground. But from the heavens I will pour the river fully on it.” Yes, my friend, God is going to pour as the rivers, His Rivers of blessings on the dry ground of your life. He is going to pour it and your dry life will blossom. Yes, Heavenly riches will come to you. “The desert and the parched land will be glad; the wilderness will rejoice and blossom. Like the crocus, it will burst into bloom; it will rejoice greatly and shout for joy. The glory of Lebanon will be given to it, the splendour of Carmel and Sharon; they will see the glory of the LORD, the splendour of our God.” (Isaiah 35:1, 2) Yes, riches will come to you according to Malachi 3:10, 11 which says, “Bring the whole tithe into the storehouse, that there may be food in My house. Test Me in this, says the Lord Almighty, and see if I will not throw open the floodgates of heaven and pour out so much blessing that you will not have room enough for it. I will prevent pests from devouring your crops, and the vines in your fields will not cast their fruit, says the Lord Almighty.” When you give your offering and ten percent of your earnings to the kingdom of God, to meet the needs of the ministry of God, to wipe away tears of needy people, God will pour out His blessing which you

cannot hold, and dry ground will prosper and you will prosper. Yes, all your dry ground will be full of riches. God will pour showers of blessings on you. So today make a decision to give your best—one tenth of your earnings to God. And when you build the kingdom of God, the house of God, God will build your house. Last month a lady from a remote village came to give her offering. In that village, even buses don’t ply. She has no relatives or family and she lives alone. Her house was about to be taken over by the civil authorities. At that time she went to the next door neighbour’s house. Our TV programme was going on in that house, and I said on the telecast, “Sister, your house will be established and you will take pleasure in living in that house.” She was amazed. She said, ‘Who is this man telling about my house?’ But she prayed with me, in the name of Jesus. A miracle took place. The same civil authorities who were about to take away her house came, measured the house and registered that land in her name. That house was made secure. She was rearing some sheep for her livelihood. When she heard about the construction of the Bangalore Prayer Tower she sold one sheep and gave that full amount as offering. What great love! What great faith! You know what God did? At that time there was a virus killing the sheep in that village, but all her sheep were healthy and none of them died. God proved faithful to His promise in Malachi 3:11 where He says, “I will prevent pests from devouring your crops, and the vines in your fields will not cast their fruit.” God prospered her resources. Recently she came and testified this in the meeting at Karaikudi. This time with great love she brought a hen as an offering. This month God will pour blessings like a river upon you, opening the windows of Heaven. That river will just sweep away the unnecessary expenditures, losses, impurities, and addictions.

PRAYER: Father, I pray that you will do justice to me. Pour your River of blessings on me Lord. Let all that has been lost be restored. Let provisions start coming. Let all the losses, failure, humiliations, discouragements stop. Let your glory, success, health, honour, security, riches begin to pour in Jesus Name. Give me grace to give to Your ministry liberally in faith believing in You Lord, to bless others. You are my Provider. I take from what You have given and I give it back to You, Lord. Receive it Lord, bless it and pour down a blessing on millions of broken hearted people through the Ministry and bless me too beyond measure. I love you Lord Jesus. I praise You for being my Father. My dear precious friend, I am overwhelmed to share that this is the inception month of the ‘Jesus Calls’ National Prayer Tower, Delhi. It’s the seventh birthday of the Delhi Prayer Tower on my birthday. How blessed I am. In these last seven years, 84 Batches and 1082 prayer intercessors from 30 States and 5 Countries have come and prayed faithfully for the fulfillment of God’s mandate. I thank God for all the saints of God who have come from all over the country and prayed non-stop in their assigned period, throughout these 7 years, prophesying God’s plan to the nation. I thank God for the answers that He has sent from heaven in return to the prophecies and prayers offered in this Prayer Tower facing the Indian Parliament building, the Prime Minister’s office and also the President’s residence. I thank God for those who prayed for this National Prayer Tower all these seven years and supported through their liberal contributions to sustain this Prayer Tower. I thank God for the Church of North India ministry and various other ministries that had always been a constant support to us; I thank God for all the Ministers, the Parliamentarians and Bureaucrats who have come and prayed.

We had prayed for 7 long years now and let's expect the answers in the next 7 years. Saw years of prosperity; Feeding thru years of famine too! “For in the time of trouble He shall hide me in His pavilion; In the secret place of His tabernacle He shall hide me; He shall set me high upon a rock.” (Psalm 27:5) I thank God for giving us the grace to be faithful to answer His call to pray for 24x7 from this Delhi Prayer Tower for the entire nation to receive His blessing and to fulfill His purpose. We have prayed for seven years and seven years is a complete number. Now we are going to get the answers for the next seven years of prayer and prophetic ministry.

Little ones who prayed shall increase to be a 1000 Now the prophecy that we read in Isaiah 60:22 will be fulfilled in our nation. My friend, you will be able to see God’s children who prophesied and prayed and blessed His kingdom through this Prayer Tower, increasing to a thousand times. Now thousands of servants of God, prayer intercessors and children of God will rise up in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ across the nation to bless those who are in darkness and sorrow. And God will make the little ones who sacrifice for His sake into a mighty nation. Every ministry and everyone associated with praying for the nation and giving will begin to prosper. The nation shall feel the impact of God’s love across the nation from the levels of authority and power to the levels of every parts of people’s life. May God’s love and grace continue to abound in you and may you grow a thousand times. Till now you humbled yourself and prayed as a small and single person and as a ministry. Now you will become a mighty nation carrying the name of the Lord Jesus Christ to bless millions. May God bless you all from the Delhi Prayer Tower.

ello friend! I rejoice in my heart to open this month’s message to you with a wonderful promise from the Scripture found in Acts 2:17 which says, “And it shall come to pass in the last days, says God, that I will pour out of My Spirit on all flesh; Your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, your young men shall see visions, your old men shall dream dreams.” (Acts 2:17) Look at this word ‘pour’ which in modern language can be called ‘shower’. Our God always showers His Spirit upon all flesh. 14

Another fact that you can clearly see in the promise above is that the pouring of the Holy Spirit leads to receiving the gifts of the Holy Spirit. Note the statement “I will pour out of My Spirit on all flesh; Your sons and your daughters shall prophesy.” Friend! Are you not thirsty to receive this anointing – which is the pouring of the Holy Spirit into you? Yeah! Once you receive the anointing, it will be coupled with the gifts of the Holy Spirit. I know that you are thirsting for the anointing of the Holy Spirit. Yes! I also know that once you taste the anointing of the Holy Spirit you will begin to thirst for more. You will not be satisfied with a little anointing but you will want more of it. Yes! You will want showers of His anointing and that is exactly what you will receive. Showers of Anointing!

My Experience of Anointing I attended the 18th batch of the Jesus Calls Power Ministry with a great thirst to receive the anointing but at that time I didn’t receive it. I was so discouraged because all my relatives who attended along with me - my sister in law, my brother and my aunty received the anointing as well as the Gift of tongues on the first day itself, but I did not receive. Thoroughly disappointed, I asked God, “Lord, what sin have I committed? Why haven’t I received the anointing?” But then the Lord made me wait. I pursued the anointing passionately and so I also attended the 19th batch and even in that batch I did not receive the anointing on the first day. I became so afraid and wondered whether I wouldn’t receive it this time too. That whole night of the first day I could not sleep. I was

kneeling down and crying to God. I made this prayer with a very broken heart and right on the next day at eight o’ clock in the morning the Lord filled me with the Holy Spirit. Only after that I realised how precious the anointing of God was. Yes! My friend, the Lord will make you wait to receive the anointing and the gifts. During the waiting time don’t get discouraged and say, “I am not worthy to receive the anointing of the Holy Spirit.” Remember the Lord says, “If you ask anything in My name; I will do it” (John 14:14).

Ask God for more Gifts 1 Corinthians 12:4-6 says that there are different kinds of gifts, service and works; but it is the same God who works all in all. Yes, there are different kinds of gifts but don’t you ever think that the Lord will give only one gift to you. If the Lord determines, He will give all gifts to all men. Yes! He will not only fill you with His showers of anointing but also His showers of the fruit of the Spirit. Yes! The Bible says that our God is able to make all grace abound toward you; that you, always having all sufficiency in all things, may abound to every good work” (2 Corinthians 9:8). Yes, our Lord is able to pour out His grace in abundance. He is very liberal and generous in giving anything that you ask especially the anointing and the gifts of the Holy Spirit. So, don’t just ask only one gift. Don’t settle for anything less than what the Lord is willing to give you. Sing this song which I like very much which says, “Mercy drops round us are falling, but for the showers we plead.” Paul says, “...desire spiritual gifts …” (1 Corinthians 14:1)

Yes. God is willing to give it all to those who ask Him in faith and love.

Our God is a God of Fullness As soon as the Lord fills you with His Holy Spirit, you will receive all the gifts that God has because He is ready to fill us to the full measure of His fullness. He does not give in trickles; He pours out in showers. My mother Stella Dhinakaran always used to say that our God is a God of fullness (1 Timothy 6:17; Colossians 2:9,10). So, He will fill you to the measure of His fullness (Ephesians 4:13). Friend! Cry out to God for His abundance and fullness. I cried and said to God, “Lord, I need all the gifts and all blessings that you have in You.” God heard my prayer and honoured me just like that. He will do the same for you too my friend. The Bible says that our Lord Jesus came into this world to give us life in ‘abundance’ (John 10:10). If we pray with one heart and one mind the Lord will pronounce His abundance of life upon us and fill us to His fullness. He will gladly shower us with all grace and all the gifts. Evangeline were invited to minister in Munich, Germany by the Jesus Calls Representative Mr. Immanuel Devairrakkam who is a Karunya Alumnus at the Jesus Calls Partner’s meeting on the 10th of June 2017. It was rewarding to have met with over 200 prospective Jesus Calls partners. Every one of them received personal prayers from the Dhinakarans. They were overjoyed to hear the Word of God. Here is a testimony from Mrs. Chandra who is extremely comforted through the miracle that God has performed in her life through the Bethesda Ministries. Twenty years ago, when my daughter was just 5 years old, my husband passed away. I began providing for her education from the meagre amounts I received, working as an ordinary coolie. There were days when I didn’t have anyone to offer me even that little piece of work, and I remember my little daughter and I going to bed, starving for the day! The days turned into weeks and weeks into months; as the months progressed into years with each passing day, the pain terribly grew and we were left to ourselves with no one in the world to look up to. It was in 2012, I heard words of comfort reaching out to me through Dr. Paul, as I was watching the Jesus Calls T.V. programme. I felt a sense of divine comfort & assurance in my heart and I started watching the program regularly. One fine day, when Dr. Paul spoke about the details of Bethesda Blessing Project, along with an appeal stating, “Build God’s house and God will build your family,” I had an urge in my mind to contribute for the project. I took all valuables I had, pawned them and sent the amount of Rs.3000/- I got, for the work of the Lord's house. I was given a beautiful certificate. The best thing in

all was, from then on I continued giving my offerings, over and over, amidst all the difficulties and troubles that stormed in. My poverty could no longer hold me captive from racing ahead for the work of my Provider! And the Lord blessed me. When things seemed to be getting fine, my daughter's wedding got scheduled for June 2016. But despair stormed back into our family just a month before the wedding, when my daughter suddenly suffered partial paralysis. She couldn’t speak anymore. Her hands and legs were badly affected and she lost the movement in her eyes too. She cried bitterly, and said, “I don’t want to live in this world anymore. I have had enough. Now, let me die.” I was shattered and heartbroken to see how things turned out bad all of a sudden. But in all my despair, I remembered to call the Prayer Tower and turned to God

for help. I placed my request for prayer and a prayer intercessor began praying for my daughter with burden in his heart. What a great God we have! Such a wonderful miracle it was to see her getting healed! She began to regain her normal senses and God restored her health! All praise be to Him. After her miraculous healing, God opened a way for me to conduct her wedding with the help of my family and friends. To the glory of God, her wedding went on well and now she and her husband are blessed with a beautiful daughter! I still continue to send my offerings to the work of the Almighty and I believe that God will turn my captivity into freedom and break the bondages of poverty and insufficiency. a Government job but he could not get. Moreover we were not blessed with a child for three years. We went to several hospitals to get treatment and it was in vain. So we stopped taking treatment. I was trying to do M.Phil., and for that also there were a lot of hurdles. When in all sides we faced such struggles and obstacles, we were introduced to the â&#x20AC;&#x2DC;Jesus Callsâ&#x20AC;&#x2122; Family Blessing Plan in the year 2008. I was enrolled as a Young Partner when I was young. Right from that time God blessed me with His divine wisdom to study well. thinking that “I’m very pious.” But, the Lord weighs our hearts and motives. He says, “Although you preach well; pray well; sing well; still I must weigh you” and then He weighs each one of us (Daniel 5:27). This is how the Lord will perfect His children. It was customary in a particular company to lend a lot of money to other people. The company had appointed a noble man to collect the loan back from the debtors in an appropriate time. He would go to the debtors and ask, “Please repay your loan.” But the debtors would say, “I had no business this month; No income; you come back next month” and would turn him away. He would return to the company empty handed. Likewise, none of the debtors who had lent money from the company returned the money. Therefore, a senior official in the company did something peculiar. He brought with him a monkey. The officer looked at the man who collects money and said, “You’re going every day and returning empty handed; now on take my friend (the monkey) with you every day”! The monkey also nodded its head and went along with him. First he went to a shop and asked, “Please repay your money for this month.” He replied, “Not yet, Go away.” Suddenly the shopkeeper noticed the monkey with him and asked, “Why have you brought a monkey.” He re-

plied, “You would not repay your money if I ask; now the monkey will ask you the money.” Immediately the shopkeeper got horrified and he not only gave back the money he had to repay but even more than that and chased them away. The monkey collected all the money. There was lots of money with the monkey at the end of the day. Both returned to the company. When the officer looked at them he asked, “How was the collection today?” He replied, “The monkey collected all the money very well.” But he looked worried. Immediately the officer asked him, “Why are you worried?” He replied, “The monkey is having all the money in its hands and now it is not giving to me, Sir.” Yes! There is a monkey in our minds which is also doing similar things. We look very pious in our outward appearance. But, the monkey heart within us will not let us give back the money. It will not let us surrender our shortcomings to the Lord but friend if you can do this today, the Lord will purify your heart and bring an amazing transformation in your life today.

In such situations, we choose to borrow money from others or from someone in our work place. Still, Our gracious Lord

Jesus will help us to repay the money. This is the greatest privilege we have got. Yes, gracious Jesus will be with us (Matthew 15:32). When you pass through difficult times, He says, “Oh! My child is suffering with this deficiency” and does a miracle in some way. Each man’s life has three parts such as, body, mind and soul. Unless the Lord meets the needs of these three parts of life, our lives may not be happy and peaceful. It looks very disturbed otherwise.

A. Soul God created man in his own image (Gen. 1:27; 5:1; 9:6). Man is an incredible creation among all creations. He created man just like Him. So, the appearance of God is just like the appearance of man. Disciples and prophets rejoiced as they saw the God whom no eye has ever seen. When they saw God they said, “HE was a figure like that of a man” (Rev. 4:2; Daniel 7:13; Ezek. 1:26). What are the other aspects in which man is made in the image of God? Man is created to be like God in true righteousness and holiness (Ephesians 4:24). He is renewed in knowledge in the image of God (Colossians 3:9,10). The righteous God has given us the same righteousness and a righteous heart (Psalm 7:11). God has given us a conscience. This conscience tells to discriminate good from evil and also righteousness from sin (Micah 6:8; Romans 2:15). The spirit of man examines his heart. Once you fear the Lord and obey Him you will be holy and an immeasurable peace will fill your heart.

He is a God who can calm the storms in our soul, spirit and heart. He is mighty to give us His divine peace even today. He desires to give divine peace to the hearts and minds of those who’re troubled amidst tempestuous storms.

C. Body What is about the body of man? The Bible says that it is the temple of God (I Corinthians 3:16; 6:19). God knows the trouble we go through when we fall sick or lose our job. Therefore, He provides strength to the body and enables us to earn riches.

B. What is the human mind’s need?

Once, my son proudly wore a watch I had bought from a foreign country, to his college. But his friends teased him saying that, “His father would deliver sermons and earn money.” My son told me that he felt very proud as he replied them saying that his dad is not only a preacher but also a higher official in the State Bank of India and this watch is bought with his hard earned money.

When there was a great storm Jesus was also with the disciples in the boat. He was in the stern, sleeping in a cushion. When the disciples cried to the Lord, “Teacher! Don’t you care if we are drowning?” Jesus asked them, “Why are you so afraid? Don’t you still have faith?” Then HE got up, rebuked the wind and said to the waves, “Quiet! Be still! And there

That moment I praised God in my heart saying, “Lord! he Lord Jesus Christ dearly loves each one of us, who are His creations. That’s why He offered Himself as a sacrifice on the cross, in accordance to the will of His Father. The Bible says, “And walk in love, as Christ also has loved us and given Himself for us, an offering and a sacrifice to God for a sweet-smelling aroma.” (Ephesians 5:2) The Lord asked Simon, “Simon, do you love Me?" (John 21:15-17). Yes, the Lord wants every one of us to love Him, give Him praises and glorify Him. He is pleased with those who do these things. Shall we observe the lives of a

few women who thus abided in their love for Him, did what they could for Him and glorified Him?

Woman, who gave the precious thing “She has done what she could.” (Mark 14:8) A woman, who was a sinner, came to the Lord Jesus Christ, brought an alabaster flask of fragrant oil, and stood at His feet behind Him weeping; and she began to wash His feet with her tears, and wiped them with the hair of her head; and she kissed His feet and anointed them with the fragrant oil (Matthew 26:1-13; Luke 7:36-50). She delighted His heart and was eagerly waiting, wondering whether she would get forgive-

ness for her sins and enjoy deliverance, peace and joy. Some of the disciples of Jesus, particularly Judas was indignant and criticized her sharply saying, "Why was this fragrant oil wasted? For it might have been sold for more than three hundred denarii and given to the poor." (Mark 14:5). Indeed that poor woman was sinful and was living an imperfect life. But the Lord knew the true love that was in the depth of her heart. In that situation, when His heart was broken - at the time when the jealous people were about to crucify Him in two days - this good work done by that poor woman was soothing to His heart. That’s why He said, "She has come beforehand to anoint My body for burial” (Mark 14:8). On May 21, 1986, when we lost our dear daughter Angel and were deeply grieved and were shedding tears and wondering how we would be able to continue with the ministry, many ordinary and simple people sent comforting letters to us, and encouraged us saying, “Don’t worry; at any cost you should not stop doing the ministry. We are alive because of you...” Such people’s love strengthened us and established us and helped us to continue with the ministry. Yes, the good work did by that poor woman, was trivial in the eyes of others. But the Lord was thrilled over her love and said, “She has done what she could.”

When you love Him with the strength you have and do everything for Him, you would shine forever. only a handful of flour in a bin, and a little oil in a jar; and see, I am gathering a couple of sticks that I may go in and prepare it for myself and my son, that we may eat it, and die." And Elijah said to her, “Do not fear; go and do as you have said, but make me a small cake from it first, and bring it to me; and afterward make some for yourself and your son. For thus says the LORD God of Israel: The bin of flour shall not be used up, nor shall the jar of oil run dry, until the day the LORD sends rain on the earth.” She heeded Elijah’s words despite her lacks and was

willing to feed his hunger. Sometimes, we languish what we would do if we happen to give even the little we have for God. But the needs and lacks in the life of the widow of Zarephath, who gave from the little she had to Elijah the Lord’s prophet, were removed from that day. As the Lord had said through Elijah, He blessed her abundantly till the famine was over. Yes, the widow of Zarephath, obeyed the word of Elijah, the Lord’s prophet, and satiated his hunger by giving him the first cake she had made. She extended a warm hospitality to him thinking that she was doing it for God. After that, as the Lord had spoken through Elijah, the bin of flour was not used up, nor did the jar of oil run dry (I Kings 17:10-15).

Poor widow who offered all the livelihood she had "Truly I say to you that this poor widow has put in more than all; for all these out of their abundance have put in offerings for God, but she out of her poverty put in all the livelihood that she had." (Luke 21:3,4) "And whoever gives one of these little ones only a cup of cold water in the name of a disciple, assuredly, I say to you, he shall by no means lose his reward." (Matthew 10:42) Jesus Himself has said, "Give, and it will be given to you: good measure,

pressed down, shaken together, and running over will be put into your bosom. For with the same measure that you use, it will be measured back to you." (Luke 6:38) The above verses stress on giving what we have for the Lord’s ministry. Let us do what we can for the true servants of God who do His services. When we are faithful over the little we have, the Lord will make us rulers over many (Matthew 25:21,23). Once, an ordinary family, made a vow to send offering for the Jesus Calls ministry, even in the midst of their debt problem. The Lord helped them sell their house for a good price, clear their debts and fulfil their vows without any problem. After that, abundant blessings filled their family. My dear sisters, you may face afflictions and hardships in your family. However, hold on to the Lord first. When you give for the Lord’s ministry and His servants, even amidst your wants, the Lord will remove all your lacks and meet your needs (Philippians 4:19).

Abigail, who fed God’s chosen one “The name of the man was Nabal, and the name of his wife Abigail. And she was a woman of good understanding and beautiful appearance; but the man was harsh and evil in his doings. And he was of the

Then Abigail made haste and took two hundred loaves of bread, two skins of wine, five sheep already dressed, five seahs of roasted grain, one hundred clusters of raisins, and two hundred cakes of figs, and loaded them on donkeys and met David and his men. She fell on her face before David, and bowed down to the ground, spoke wisely to him, simmered down his wrath and saved her family and people. The Bible says, “The wise woman builds her house, But the foolish pulls it down with her hands.” (Proverbs 14:1) Giving all the food she had brought with her, to David, Abigail said to him, “Sir, please forgive us. And it shall come to pass, when the LORD has done for my lord according to all the good that He has spoken concerning you, and has appointed you ruler over Israel, then remember your maidservant" (I Samuel 25:30,31). She was an ordinary woman. Yet she was well aware that David was a chosen man of God and that God would bless him and make him the king one day. That’s why she spoke about this to David and boldly said to him, “…this will be no grief to you, nor offense of heart to my lord, either that you have shed blood without cause, or that my lord has avenged himself (I Samuel 25:31); one day you would become the king. take revenge now.” The reason, she had divine wisdom. She knew that God was with David and that one day he would become the king. My dear sisters, there may be so many problems in your family. Sometimes, we talk hastily and use meaningless words. One wrong word causes much havoc. The Bible says, “In the multitude of words sin is not lacking,…” (Proverbs 10:19) “But the wisdom that is from above is first pure, then peaceable, gentle, willing to yield, full of mercy and good fruits, without partiality and without hypocrisy.” (James 3:17) Since Abigail was filled with the wisdom from heaven, she spoke wisely to David. It was then David greeted her as below: “…blessed is your advice and blessed are you, because you have kept me this day from coming to bloodshed and from avenging myself with my own hand.” (I Samuel 25:33) Later, when David became the king, Abigail had the privilege of becoming his wife. Yes, when wisdom from above comes in to us, the Lord uses our tongue to speak peaceable things, even without our knowledge. When we speak with this divine wisdom, our words are full of peace, meekness, mercy and good fruits. Thus, ways are 38

Prophetess Deborah, the Judge of Israel In the Bible we read about the prophetess Deborah who judged Israel (Judges 4:4). Prophets are the ones who wait in the presence of the Lord, hear His words and give apt counsel to the people who are deeply troubled and they also do the glorious ministry of revealing the

Word of God by waiting in His presence for several hours and talking to Him. Deborah too was a prophetess who gave divine counsels to the people of Israel. Once, she said to a man called Barak, “Go forward and fight for the people of Israel. The Lord will grant victory through you.” And Barak said to her, "If you will go with me, then I will go; but if you will not go with me, I will not go!" (Judges 4:8) Deborah was a woman. Yet, since she was a prophetess, she could give counsels on where to do the battle, where to go and what to do. So, Barak says to her, ‘If you will go with me, then I will go; but if you will not go with me, I will not go.” Though she was an ordinary woman, she was mightily used by God. “Set your mind on things above, not on things on the earth.” (Colossians 3:2) Accordingly, your eyes should seek God and the things of eternal world and not be fixed on the things of the earth such as ‘My house, my family’ and so on. “Lord, give me Your gifts and power; use me also as a mighty instrument in Your hand” - If we thus ask Him with desire, He would change us also like Deborah who was a judge and a mighty prophetess, and who gave the Lord’s counsels to others, being filled with God’s Spirit. “O Lord! …let those who love Him be like the sun

when it comes out in full strength." (Judges 5:31) Thus sang Deborah and others after the Lord did justice for Israel and gave them victory. “Those who are wise shall shine like the brightness of the firmament, and those who turn many to righteousness like the stars forever and ever.” (Daniel 12:3) In Tamil Nadu, a particular sister was admitted in a hospital. Though she was bedridden for several days, she used to pray for others and the servants of God. As a result, God’s glory could be seen on her face. Dear ones, the coming of the Lord is very near. He says, “I will come like a thief.” How many

families have we prepared for His coming? The Bible also instructs us, “Whatever your hand finds to do, do it with your might…” (Ecclesiastes 9:10) Do everything - whether it is small or big - with all your might. Even the small prayer that you offer from your room would bring comfort to many. Hence, when you love Him with the strength you have and do everything for Him, you would shine forever. To you who fear His name the Sun of Righteousness shall arise with healing in His wings (Malachi 4:2). My dear sister, what would be your answer when the Lord asks you, ‘Daughter, I died for you; what have you done for Me?’

When you pray saying, “Lord, I commit myself to you as I am. Do whatever You want to do through me. Make me a blessing to my family, church and the society like that sinful woman, like the widow of Zarephath, like Abigail and like Deborah,” the Lord will use you as much as you could and make you shine. The Lord who was happy over that sinful woman and said, "She has done what she could” (Mark 14:8), would be happy over you. Give from the little you have, to the servants of God, like the widow of Zarephath. Receive the power of the Holy Spirit, like Deborah. Do whatever you can, like that poor widow. The Lord would be proud of you; He will make you shine like the sun when it comes out in full strength.

The Lord made the family thrive I am blessed with a son and a daughter and my daughter is doing her B.Tech. My husband passed away all of a sudden because of heart attack. I was at a loss not knowing what to do. I was agonizing over how I would take care of my children and I was particularly worried about financially managing my daughter’s studies as well as the family. At this time when I was perturbed as to how I would be able to educate my children and settle them, I started watching the Jesus Calls Hour of Hope Television programme. Both Indira and Chandra were dumbfounded – ‘Can there be such a woman in the world?’ They had seen Sylvia getting down from the car, carrying the Bible and song book, in the process of which her husband’s water bottle fell down. Deepak, her husband, shouted at her like a bear and a visibly shaken Sylvia duly asked ‘sorry’. Indira and Chandra who were behind them, were shocked to see this! Few days later, they shared this with Aunty Glory and pitied Sylvia. “Aunty, you are related to Deepak. Couldn’t you talk to him please? Poor Sylvia… we’ve heard that he is short tempered. But we never thought that he is this bad…” “Nobody can talk to him. Even I maintain a limit with him. But Sylvia is such a nice girl. I am close to her…” “Should he shout like that in the church?”

“You don’t know about him. He would be yelling for no reason. He always criticizes her to anyone who comes to meet him. But Sylvia never talks anything bad about him. He uses words that pierce like swords. Even if he takes her anywhere by car, he would be scolding her all the time. Whoever commits any mistake – whether relatives, or children or the people on the street – it is Sylvia who has to bear the brunt. In case she says, ‘What can I do?’ that’s all! He would abuse her and silence her. She has to bear everything patiently, even if he criticizes her cooking or accuses her falsely or puts her down in front of others and she should never argue back. He cannot tolerate anyone who goes to see her. When someone calls her or visits her when she is not at home, he would say that he did not know her whereabouts. Things would be different if any other girl had been in Sylvia’s place…” Aunty finished with a big sigh.

“We’ve heard that Sylvia is a good girl… but only now we’ve come to know that she is an excellent girl.” Days passed. They again met Sylvia when they had gone to pay the children’s school fees. They lauded her for her patience when Deepak shouted at her in the church. “I am the testimony to how a person who is in the Lord would be and he is the example for a person who is not in the Lord. That is, if you read Galatians 2:20, you can see how God, in His mercy, made faith, compassion and love abound in Paul, who, in ignorance, was once a terrible blasphemer of Christ and a persecutor of His children, as His own and changed him into His servant. What a glorious experience is this! The Lord wants us to unite with Him thus. Often we meditate on what things He has told us to follow. "I and My Father are one." (John 10:30) What great suffering the Lord Jesus would have undergone when He was bruised and broken

on the cross and when He was scourged and was put on thorny crown! However, He thus offered Himself up, in order that you and I should be redeemed from sin and curse, and attain salvation. How has Paul written down His life experience? "I have been crucified with Christ; it is no longer I who live, but Christ lives in me; and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave Himself for me.” (Galatians 2:20) ‘The reason why I live today is that I am crucified with Christ.

The sacred blood which He shed on the cross has cleansed my sins and horrible life. Now I belong to Jesus and I am happy.’ What did he do further? With His whole mind and strength, he served the Lord who gave His life for Him. From the Bible we can understand how his life which had such profound experience and closeness with God, shone for Him. Similarly our lives should also be united with the Lord.

After that I understood clearly that my parents’ love or any other love for that matter, would not match His, because that much love came upon me. Since then I became a new woman. I remember an incident which happened in my life several years back. “Until my 16th year, I was led in godly life, according to my parents’ wishes. Also, there was always abundant flow of love among us, the family members and hence we were living happily. I assumed that it was Christian life. But within a few days, I had to stay in a hostel for the sake of my studies. It was then a lonely life for me. In those days, I did love the Lord but He was not dwelling in me. So I was always crying, thinking of my parents. At that time, one day, the Lord Jesus Christ, my loving Father who was waiting to embrace me with love, appeared in my room, all of a sudden. I did not see Him or had a vision of Him. But I could feel Him talking to me.

“…truly our fellowship is with the Father and with His Son Jesus Christ.” (I John 1:3)

Yes, dear ones, the Lord interacts with us in many ways. Each

This is the “divine life of the Lord being with us and leading us.” If this divine life is not in you, please kneel down wherever you are right now, and commit yourself to Him telling Him, “Lord, I don’t want the fleshly love which I desire. You are the true Saviour! You are full of love! It is enough that I have Your love and company.” The Bible calls this experience as the salvation experience. Dear ones, you should enjoy and see how pleasant your life would be, if the Lord is thus always with you and be of help to you. “Unless the LORD had been my help, My soul

would soon have settled in silence.” (Psalm 94:17) Accordingly, when the Lord is of help to us, all the restlessness, sorrows and torments in our soul would flee away from us. The Lord would always be our help. About this we read in the Bible thus: “But the LORD has been my defense, and my God the rock of my refuge.” (Psalm 94:22) Many times, we suffer and grieve because of various problems, sorrows, and losses. We seek after human help wondering who would help us and who would show us the right way. No, dear ones! The Lord is always watching us. Particularly, the Bible says, "For the eyes of the LORD run to and fro throughout the whole earth, to show Himself strong on behalf of those whose heart is loyal to Him…” (II Chronicles 16:9). Job believed this and said, “Though He slay me, yet will I trust Him.” (Job 13:15) He says, “Oh, I am oppressed by so many sufferings. Yet I wouldn’t mind even if the Lord slays me. I have placed my entire trust on Him. I have the assurance that He will be my hope in all my afflictions, losses and pain and save me.” What happened because of his complete trust on www.jesuscalls.org - September 2017 JESUS CALLS

God? He did not die. Rather he received everything he had lost in double measure. The Bible says that being blessed, he lived for four generations and died, old and full of days (Job 42:10,16,17). Yes, dear ones! No matter what difficulties you face and no matter how terribly you are tormented by wicked people and the devil, if you hold on to Him like Job, saying that He alone is your help, the Lord will surely give you the same blessings. Not knowing this profound truth, some women ask, “Why haven’t I received any blessings? How long should I wait with patience? Are you praying for me or not?” Such questions are born of unbelief. Be patient like Job and let the Lord know; then He would perfect things for you” (Psalm 138:8). We read about Job in James 5:11: “Indeed we count them blessed who endure. You have heard of the perseverance of Job and seen the end intended by the Lord; that the Lord is very compassionate and merciful.” Similarly, even at times of trial and when we become weary and languish in agony, the Lord is of help to us and comforts us with His comfort. “In the multitude of my anxieties within me, Your comforts delight my soul.” (Psalm 94:19) 46

That’s why He has a wonderful name – ‘the God of all comfort’ (II Corinthians 1:3). In the Bible we read about two brokenhearted women – Ruth and Naomi. Both lost their spouse. Just imagine how a house without a male would be! Such people have to encounter poverty and disappointments. But from the Book of Ruth, you can understand how these people sought God and received a blessed life, with His

help. Naomi, the mother-in-law had her full trust on the Almighty God, despite that needy situation. Her husband and her two sons died. Imagine how she would have grieved! Sisters, how hard you suffer and shed tears over a trifle pain! But you should understand how Naomi received the Lord’s blessings in the midst of this sorrow. She accepted the God of gods as her help. She followed the divine way of always seeking Him. When we seek the Lord, He fills

us with His presence. He knows those who seek Him. “The LORD is near to all who call upon Him, to all who call upon Him in truth.” (Psalm 145:18) Accordingly, when we call upon Him in truth, He would come and dwell with us. About this the Bible says, “You, LORD, have helped me and comforted me” (Psalm 86:17). What a great blessing when the Lord Himself is our help! Ruth, the daughter-in-law of Naomi was a Moabite woman. Until then she must have worshipped only the gods of Moab. Yet, when she observed her mother-in-law’s things and conduct, she saw her love for the God of Israel and how she sought Him with her whole heart, mind and strength. This was pleasing to her. So forgetting that she was a Moabite woman, she followed her mother-in-law’s ways, sought the God of Israel, and took refuge under His wings. Boaz, who married her, says this. "The LORD repay your work, and a full reward be given you by the LORD God of Israel, under whose wings you have come for refuge." (Ruth 2:12) Dear sisters and young children, see how wonderful Christian life is! If you too had lost your

peace and are frustrated that nothing more is left as you have lost everything, hold on to God just as how these women did. Trust only Him. The Bible says that He will be the way, the truth and the life (John 14:6). When you thus accept Him as your God and walk in the ways pleasing to Him, He would be pleased with you and would be a help and shield to you. We read about this in Psalm 91:1,4. We would enjoy the privilege of getting His help and being under the shadow and wings of the Almighty God of the Most High. Hence, whenever you are worried, kneel down and tell Him, “Lord, You care for me. I have placed all my burdens on You.” He will certainly be concerned about you and change everything for the good (I Peter 5:7). Among the two sisters Martha

and Mary, the Lord tells this about the Martha. “Martha, you are worried and troubled about many things. But one thing is needed, and Mary has chosen that good part, which will not be taken away from her" (Luke 10:41,42). My dear sisters, “Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God; and the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.” (Philippians 4:6,7) Accordingly, you need not carry your worries and sorrows. Instead, let us make our requests known to God by prayer and

supplication and with thanksgiving. Then faith would abound in us. Any situation – however hard it may be – would vanish by the presence and power of God. As His Word says, the peace of God which surpasses all understanding will guard our hearts and minds through Christ Jesus. What a blessed life! Yes, my dear sisters who are languishing in loneliness, loss, lacks, sorrow and pain! If you read these things carefully and follow them, your life would be a happy one in Christ. The Lord will always be your help. He will comfort you with His comfort. He will perfect everything for you. Please read this message again whenever trials and afflictions attack you, memorize these promise verses, claim them for your own and thus receive God’s blessings in abundance.

This is the case in the married life too! Loveless deeds of always criticizing and pricking with words and deeds without any true love for the husband or his family ruin the divine peace in families. Presumptuous and horrible sins are today spread fast in men and women thus hindering the presence of God to come upon families which get filled with darkness unable to receive God’s blessings. These days don’t we see alcoholism, lewdness, adultery, lies, deceit and dissensions abounding in families? However, the Lord Jesus Christ alone can redeem us from all these

and open a way for us to live a victorious life. “Beloved, I pray that you may prosper in all things and be in health, just as your soul prospers.” (III John 2) Accordingly, we should live well and be in health. To be precise, we should be filled with all good things; nothing should be lacking. This is our Lord’s desire.

“But let the righteous be glad; Let them rejoice before God; Yes, let them rejoice exceedingly.” (Psalm 68:3) When Paul and the ministers of God who were with him were doing ministry in the city of Philippi, they went out of the city to the riverside, where prayer was customarily made; there they preached to the women who had gathered there. Among them, God

opened the heart of the woman called Lydia. Since her heart was filled with divine blessing given by Christ, she rejoiced. She begged and persuaded them to stay in their house (Acts 16:12-15). “Therefore with joy you will draw water from the wells of salvation.” (Isaiah 12:3) This verse was fulfilled in her life. Yes, my dear sisters! You too can receive this divine joy if you die to sin and are alive to righteousness. “Likewise you also, reckon yourselves to be dead indeed to sin, but alive to God in Christ Jesus our Lord.” (Romans 6:11) The sacred blood, shed by Jesus Christ on the cross, cleanses your sinful life and heart from all sin (I John 1:9). We receive the divine life of being set free from sin and becoming slaves of righteousness (Romans 6:18). By receiving such divine life from the Lord, our life becomes pleasing to Him. This helps us to become like Christ. Let us first of all think whether we have been changed by Him into righteous persons and whether we act accordingly. A man called Zacchaeus was greedy for money and was a sinner before men. But don’t we read in the Bible that when he accepted Jesus in his heart and was changed by Him into a sinless man,

salvation came to his house and his household? (Luke 19:1-9). My dear sisters! You, who read this message today, should also confess your sins in the presence of the Lord and leave them. Also, he became God’s zealous servant. My dear sister, the Lord is able to fill you with such divine blessing, peace and joy. So, look up to Him, receive a holy life and glorify God. Then the fragrance of Christ will diffuse from your life. Your family life would be pleasing to Christ and would be filled with good testimony. The God of gods will help “the holiness which He

loves” (Malachi 2:11) to be seen in your life. Also, the divine peace and joy of God would make your family life shine. The Lord would abide with you. He will perfect everything that concerns you (Psalm 138:8). “But when that which is perfect has come, then that which is in part will be done away.” (I Corinthians 13:10) Accordingly, when you are filled with the Lord, the ‘Perfect’, divinity would abound in you because of His presence. A woman shared her testimony thus: “I was short tempered; now the Lord has changed me into a virtuous woman.” Yes, since Moses waited in the presence of God, his face shone before the people. Similarly, if you seek God truly, His presence would make your life shine. All your bad qualities would be changed and Christ’s mind and deed would be seen in you. About this the Bible explains, “because as He is, so are we in this world” (I John 4:17). Yes, my dear sisters! As God testified about the Lord Jesus – "This is My beloved Son. Hear Him!" (Mark 9:7) – You should also get united with Jesus, in all reverence. Seek His presence. Follow His divine ways.
