how did you hear about kiwins/what made you want to join?

i actually heard about it when LQ KIWIN’S came to McGarvin’s campus and did an 8th grade takeover to introduce us to all about the club at an early stage. i eventually wanted to join because of my friends and how they provided service opportunities for us monthly.

what is your favorite memory about kiwins?

okay super recent memory tho but i loved the jet banquet talent show. my group and i went up super unprepared and hit the audience with some t swift but we won second place so that was really fun!!

how has kiwins helped you grow?

i know that everyone keeps on talking about how KIWIN’S helps them break out of their shells but i gained so much more confidence and public speaking skills. like im just so comfortable around other people now and i learned so many valuable skills: event planning, organization, time management, etc

what advice would you offer to someone who want to join or run for positions in kiwins? *

if you’re still on the fence about joining KIWIN’S (i mean the obvious answer is to join but...), you never know what you could be missing out on. trying out the vibes and chemistry of your club is 100% unique to your school’s, so i’d say stick around for the first one or two weeks and you could also drop out if you don’t like the club. same thing applies for running positions, put yourself out there and make an effort to socialize with as many members (and especially board members) so that when it comes to the selection process, your current board already knows a familiar face. but also make sure you’re able to handle your position with the conflicts of school, work, and social life in mind.
