J - Which materials were used?
D - We opted for wood, dark marble, metal and fabrics from partner brands such as Casamance, Kirkby Design and Misia. We choose warm wood tones which converge with the contemporary atmosphere, maintaining the sophistication of the spaces due to the nobility of the materials.
J - Which sensations did you want to transmit?
D -The main sensation that we wanted to convey to this space was the balance between the mixture of colours and patterns with the surroundings. In this project all the details contribute to a family experience but with the charm of big cities. The dynamic and, at the same time, the discretion of the patterns on the fabrics are small details that give a unique character to this penthouse. Surrounded by huge glass spans where the big city is the main actor, the living room is the heart of this project and from it all the rest came to life.
J - How was the creative process?
D - After meeting with the client, the creative process began by looking for inspiration, defining the concept, choosing the materials and executing the mood board to see how everything works; then we developed the layout and the spatial distribution and the final step was the 3D rendering. All those chapters were done side by side with the client always considering his inputs.
J - What was the penthouse like and how it helps to define the renovation?
D - Everythingwasdevelopedtakingintoaccountthelargewindowsandallthestructuresthatprovide excellent natural light into the penthouse, without forgetting the surrounding environment, in this case, the rush of the city and the big buildings.
