iscover the following ideas that celebrate clean lines, utility and simple furnishings that are functional, beautiful, and serene.
Combine statement shades and brass fittings
Introduce this season’s metal of the moment into your bathroom and provide an air of extravagance with distinctive palettes and dazzling finishes. Channel the epitome of scandi-style flare and paint a blank canvas as muted hues give a seriously calming vibe with neutral undertones that capitalise on natural lighting and a minimalistic feel.
Incorporating gilded furnishings and shiny brass accents present a serious sense of luxury into any room. Crosswater’s Gallery 10 Brushed Brass Walk-in Recess Shower Enclosure works wonderfully against moody hues, as warm metallics set against deep-tone backdrops. Rich jewel tones and shadowy neutrals evoke a luxury appeal and complement each other beautifully. Pair this with the Britton Hoxton Basin Mixer Tap, which promises to add a touch of style and elevate your bathroom.

comments “Scandinavian minimalism showcases simplicity, purity, and calmness and encourages your interiors to do the talking. Exercise restraint in your décor choices, as this style speaks to tidy tendencies and a desire to live in an inviting and comfortable setting. Include light colour palettes and cosy accents, which is an approved trend in Nordic countries.”
Villeroy and Boch Subway 2.0 Compact Rimless Wall Hung WC is a chic option, creating room for extra space due to its wall-hung design creating a clutter-free environment. Compliment this with the Ideal Standard Tempo Wall Hung Vanity Unit in a beautiful white finish to help you make your “hygge” bathroom a reality. Hanging wall mirrors are also a renowned Scandi-inspired trend, as clean lines create a bold statement as they reflect light and make spaces appear more open.
Introduce Monochromatic Colours and Moody Accents
Graeme continues “Marry these pieces with distinctive backdrops as moody Nordic-style bathroom fully clad with black accents provides a visual contrast to white fixtures as black adds drama to any space. A black exposed shower kit is a great way to bring a touch of inky indulgence into your bathroom. Pair this with a matt black basin tap to radiate a showstopping theme you can carry throughout the bathroom.”
Say Yes to Pops of Colour and Patterned Flooring
Mint greens and beautiful blues make a clever colour combination with their ability to brighten up a room and radiate timeless versatility as stark white walls, warm wood textures, and pops of colour are all solidly Scandinavian in flavour.
A contemporary white bathtub is a popular favourite, creating an environment that promotes positive energy, adding ambience to your bathroom space. The Victoria and Albert Monaco freestanding roll top bath makes a stunning showpiece for any bathroom, oozing elegance and offering classic, neat lines that will seamlessly slot into any bathroom. Wooden units are an ultra-stylish way to bring a touch of texture into interior designs. Villeroy and Boch’s Avento large vanity unit in a gorgeous wooden finish, is a stylish space-saving option, creating a clutter-free laid back and airy ascetic. To complete this look, uncover a distinctive yet daring Scandinavian trend and opt for some patterned floor tiles.
Incorporate Understated Accessorise
and boxes for added storage and incorporate some stone-style décor. Harness a stylish connection to the outdoors and ground yourself with natural colour schemes and plenty of plants, as bringing the outdoors into your home could decrease stress and blood pressure levels. Plants are also the perfect way to incorporate colour and natural touches into your interior and sets the scene for your Scandinavianinspired sanctuary.
As we settle into our second year of trading in the pandemic and the challenges that continue to face us, we would like to take this opportunity to reiterate our policy of stockholding and pricing and how it is driving our company forward.
“Last summer we saw widespread disruption to supply and many assumed by now these issues would have ironed themselves out. In fact they have worsened. Most of our competitors are still looking at long lead times and have applied large price increases. We are not only able to maintain the chain of supply due to our longstanding policy of stockholding but are also able to maintain our current pricing structure providing further financial stability to ourselves but as importantly to our customers” As always the Sussex Range is manufactured from 100% stainless steel including our recently introduced Black Edition of powder coated rails.
“More and more people are coming round to the durability and sustainability of stainless steel, particularly after the year we have just had, we all need to be aware of our environmental and social impact” “On a practical note our customers don’t want to go to the expense and disruption of fitting out their bathroom to 2 years down the line find that an inferior mild steel rail rusts, leaks and they then need a complete re-tile when the replacement isn’t dimensionally identical to the original” Stainless steel is 100% recyclable, and manufactured from over 90% recyclable material. It does not rust, flake or corrode. It is the sustainable, durable choice.
We source our rails ethically and take our social responsibility seriously, from our sourcing, to our manufacture, to our charity initiatives. As a stable business with long term stockholding that has maintained a steady supply throughout the pandemic we are able to do all of this whilst protecting our pricing structure.
We offer 3 formats of rail throughout the entire range: Electric, dual fuel and central heating only and we offer both a polished and satin finish as well as the Black Edition Range.
“The cornerstones of our business are quite simply quality, stock holding and ultimately customer service. The three work hand in hand”

feel and experience: the brief for the Richmond was to transport potential buyers to the beach resort holiday they were dreaming of; for the Westminster it was to replicate the mood of The Hoxton Hotel in Paris – a bustling, contemporary venue located a short distance from Le Marais and The Louvre.”
The show home team at Designer Contracts hit the brief for the Richmond with sea inspired tones and natural materials throughout, giving it a luxurious beach resort feel. Vibrant touches of orange and tropical prints add to the holiday atmosphere.
A sweeping sofa in the lounge offers refuge and a place to relax at the end of a long day, layered with tactile and textured fabrics.
Soft taupe and sand tones were used, adding to the calming feel, further accentuated by mirrors using natural grasses around the frame. On the feature chandelier, wooden beads are delicately suspended over the rattan woven coffee table.
The light and spacious theme continues into the kitchen with transparent wall to wall, wave headed curtains across the bi-folding doors while woven pendants hover brightly above the wooden dining table.
For the Westminster scheme, the design style is in complete contrast, showcasing a more city-led look with rich tones of burnt red, mustards, feature walls and dark choices of furniture.
Star of the lounge is a statement mustard, velvet sofa set against gemoteric wallpaper full of rich maroon, blacks and brilliant white.
The glam vibe is completed with an impressive sideboard dressed with gold hardware and skilfully coordinated with brass lighting and detailing on the sidetables and lamps.
The stylish Parisian hotel feel continues into the kitchen where a bold cocktail bar wallpaper makes an instant first impression while the dining table, set to entertain six, has velvet seating in rich reds at each end and muted grey benches for guests. The look is crowned by a golden globe feature pendant.
Upstairs, the rich tones continue. In the master bedroom, a striking mustard headboard on deep blue panel effect wallpaper sets the feel of luxury while brass pendants over the rich wooden bedsides, along with the extravagent chandelier create a moody atmosphere.
Said Faye:“Homes by Esh always offer exciting inspiration for their show homes. Each scheme is completely different to the next and allows for inspiring new experiences for their potential home owners.
“Ensuring the brief for the show homes is both relatable and aspirational is a delicate balance. The final reveal, come install day, is always one we look forward to as a team”.
