n 2020, we welcome the rise of the rebel: those who don’t play by establishment rules, who seek new horizons without fear. This issue of Jetset is dedicated to the curious contrarians in culture and entrepreneurship who think different. Culture mirrors the historical moment in which it was conceived. Our veteran entertainment reporter Si Si Penaloza dives deep into the rise of this issue’s cover star Gal Gadot. The verdict? We love her matterof-fact spirit. She flourishes in her straightforwardness, in her very lack of gimmicks. Let’s leave posturing and peacocking to the “It” girls. Gadot is here to stay. The Wonder Woman lead is the kind of luminary who excites us most— gutsy go-getters who are flamethrowers in their fields. Penaloza brings to light how Gadot moves through the world, how she intrinsically perceived, from a young age, that the idea of superheroes revolves around the romance of identity itself, of finding one’s place in the broader world. Hers is a well-populated life, filled with myriad adventures as you will discover in this profile: many lifetimes lived by one remarkable woman. We’ve crafted a braver magazine to celebrate the bold, to give these voices a place to showcase creativity. I am exceedingly proud of what our team has created and curated on the pages that follow. From our own intrepid David Haraldsen’s incandescent reporting on the Lamborghini Huracan EVO Spyder, to Ken McElroy’s perspective on cultivating fiscal literacy in his column, “The Mindset of Infinite Returns”. In our relentless quest to provide readers with the absolute best resources available, Haraldsen has also contributed a comprehensive, invaluable guide to the Formula 1 United States Grand Prix in this issue. If you’re keen to learn how to F1 like a seasoned circuit pro, you’ll want to bookmark this one. We shine the spotlight on inspiring thinkers who I hope will provoke stimulating debates. Robert Kiyosaki’s column in this issue is required reading for those who wish to stay informed on our national financial health. He explores the question, “What type of depression is America entering: inflationary or deflationary?” Dr. John Demartini’s “Prudent Philanthropy” probes how we can live more solution-oriented lives, one that contributes to greater human welfare. I tasked the team with bringing me fresh thinking, reverse thinking, big ideas at large. Barry LaBov’s column explores making sales teams the architects of success, tracing case studies from Volkswagen Phaeton to Tesla, illustrating how engaging key stakeholders remains a pivotal role of leadership. As with every issue, momentum takes over in leaps and bounds, giving every spread lengthy care and attention. I think you’ll find, this issue is the beginning of an openended conversation. Sincerely,

Darrin Austin

In theory, Bentley’s artificially intelligent personal assistant – located in the center console and identifiable via an illuminated crystal – controls five distinct autonomous driving modes. “Enhance” draws input from the outside, while “Cocoon” envelops driver and passenger in purified air and opaque glass.

TRENDING WATERCRAFT:

TRENDING CONCEPT:

Netherlands’ Vanquish has bred a crossover luxury superyacht tender with the mobility of a jet ski. Stand at the helm of this spacious beauty and enjoy newfound thrills with up to five guests. Driven by a 200 hp Yamaha 1.8 L engine with jet propulsion, opt for a Veloce version and feel the power of roaring at over 50 knots. Sail in reverse when required, adding to the flexibility. The jet drive is built flat into the hull, an easy fit into the tender garage.

Micromobility just got a serious injection of fun. Leveraging Yamaha’s leaning multi-wheel mechanism, the Tritown features dual front wheels and is controlled by the rider’s balance. The trike remains upright at a stop, and never requires the rider to step off until their destination. A 380 Wh battery powers a 500-watt motor to a top speed of about 15 MPH. lot of miles stretch from Lamborghini’s earliest beginnings in Sant’Agata Bolognese, Italy, to the extraordinary 2020 Huracán EVO Spyder. With the 1964 debut of his instant masterpiece, the 350 GTV, founder Ferrucio Lamborghini launched the nascent namesake automaker on a revolutionary trajectory leading to its current reputation as one of the world’s elite super sports cars manufacturers. Surprisingly, performance wasn’t the primary objective of Lamborghini’s earliest designs; instead, the Italian industrialist set out to create the world’s finest grand touring car. Fast-forward to today, where the company continues to set new standards for the finest in luxury super sports cars. No other car turns heads on a busy city street or traffic-jammed highway like a Lambo, a rare vehicle with that certain je ne sais quoi that redefines a true “supercar.” Nothing proves the point more emphatically than the new and improved Huracán EVO, introduced to the market in 2019 as a follow-up to the highly successful 2017 Huracán Performante. The innovative EVO integrates lessons learned from the Performante, JETSETMAG.COM

“The Huracán EVO Spyder incorporates all the performance, next-generation vehicle control and aerodynamic features of the EVO coupé, with its own unique personality and a driving excitement that only an open-top car can offer.” - Stefano Domenicali, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Automobili Lamborghini

while incorporating a more powerful LP 640-4 engine and a plethora of new technological advancements and aerodynamic improvements. Thanks to our friends at Lamborghini, I recently had an opportunity to take the 2020 Huracán EVO Spyder for an extended test drive to experience the difference first hand. From the moment I took delivery, it was crystal clear that the changes were both bold and abundant. The new LP 640-4 engine inherited from the Performante offered obvious power upgrades, and the sound of the new center-mounted exhaust tips provided ample engine noise to satisfy my uncompromising demand for exhaust snaps, crackles, and pops. With the available 631hp and 442 lb-ft of torque to help thrust the EVO off the line, this new powertrain configuration was a significant improvement over the Huracán LP 580-2 I tested on track a few years ago at PBIR. The EVO features compelling improvements in aerodynamics and handling with a new front bumper design, integrated rear spoiler, and all-wheel steering with brake-assisted torque vectoring. Coupled with the brand’s Lamborghini Dinamica Veicolo Integrata (LDVI) system

and a 7-speed dual-clutch transmission with manual paddle shifting option, the revised Huracán boasts some impressive performance numbers via its 5.2L naturally-aspirated V10 engine. Carbon ceramic brakes and bespoke 20” wheels with Pirelli P Zero tires enhance all that power under the deck lid. Even with the EVO’s adrenaline-pumping power, the selection of interior upgrades may be the most impressive feature of this revised V10 product line. An 8.4” touchscreen infotainment center replaces traditional controls for climate, interior lighting, and audio, while the interior’s forged composite carbon creates a marbled appearance that complements the Alcantara fabric. One particularly handy Huracán feature is an ingenious toggle switch for the turn indicators. The new 2020 Huracán EVO Spyder seamlessly transforms to a drop-top convertible in a mere 17 seconds, offering an open-air experience that makes for an even more gorgeous Lamborghini. It’s certainly made a believer out of me. For the full extended review visit JetsetMag.com.

Heesen x Winch Design: Xventure Seven-star luxury is on full display in the new Xventure, Heesen’s collaboration with renowned British studio Winch Design. Formidable talents united, they’ve created the ultimate explorer yacht, conceived to take adventurous sailors to hedonistic nautical heights in high style. These days, yacht owners expect higher degrees of efficiency, and the Xventure delivers in spades courtesy of the FDHF hull design. An optional hybrid propulsion system reduces fuel consumption, noise and vibration. Built to the highest Lloyds Classification and safety standards, the Xventure will be capable of extended offshore passages unheard of a generation ago. An impressive cruising range of 5,000 miles (with even longer range as an optional extra) enables her to reach remote inlets and bays, and to remain on station longer than the competition. At 187 feet long, Xventure boasts an unusually high interior volume of 1,280 GT. Floor-to-ceiling windows afford views out to sea from the main deck guest suites and Owner’s full-beam apartment, as well as the upper deck saloon. A glass-ceiling winter garden on the observation deck provides expansive vistas from every angle with a forward swimming pool. One of Xventure’s most hyped design features is her doubleheight tender garage, accommodating a 37 ft Intrepid 375 Sports fishing boat port-side, with a second 28 ft Beachlander in a side garage. Personal watercraft, scuba equipment, and crew tender are all neatly accommodated, as is the option to carry an Airbus H135 helicopter to visit remote areas for heli-skiing or heli-fishing. Overthe-top options abound, from jet skis to submarines. Expedition days will never be the same! A long range, robust build, and helicopter capability makes her the most versatile, dynamic and daring craft in any marina.

Sunseeker: 161 Yacht British superyacht brand Sunseeker tapped Dutch builder Icon Yachts to design the interior of the 160 ft Sunseeker 161, the first release in Sunseeker’s aluminum line to be built at Icon. This new tri-deck yacht features distinctive exterior lines and exceptional space across the various decks; dividing into seven engaging areas including an enviable waterside Beach Club framed by underwater glazing of the plunge pool accessed from the main deck above. Three hydraulic balconies extending over the water make a rather formidable first impression to guests and gawkers.

Vitruvius Yachts: Najiba Superyacht Najiba, built by Feadship and part of Philippe Briand’s Vitruvius series, reflects proportions idealized by Leonardo da Vinci’s infamous Vitruvian Man. In her inaugural testing, she smashed multiple performance predictions, thanks to a sublime allaluminum construction and seamless hull design. Think beachside villa chic in Najiba’s interiors by Studio Liaigre, gleaming hardwoods juxtaposed against crisp white surfaces. A generous master stateroom and large VIP suite anchors the private spaces, along with four staterooms for eight guests.

IT STARTS WITH ENGAGING YOUR KEY STAKEHOLDERS BY BARRY LABOV

I

n today’s retail environment, customers are more informed and discerning than ever before. They are looking not only for quality, but to purchase products from brands that give them an experience — brands that have meaning and are in step with their values. Customers need to believe in the companies they do business with, and, in turn, the salespeople who represent these brands need to believe in what they’re selling. The fact is, no matter how strong your brand, product or service, if the people who represent it don’t truly believe in it, you’re losing ground.

Products that lack the support of leadership and sales networks often fail. The Volkswagen Phaeton was manufactured and distributed worldwide for nearly 15 years, but production ended in 2016. It was a complete departure from the more affordable vehicles for which the brand is known. Additionally, its price tag was a significant obstacle for many and the company’s dealer network wasn’t prepared to deliver a luxury experience befitting the high price. For customers and dealers alike, it simply didn’t fit the brand. The largest obstacle, however, was that leadership didn’t buy into the product, and that uncertainty spread throughout the entire company. The belief in the product wasn’t there, and it failed as a result.

54

Advantages must be shared to make an impact. Capacity Trucks is a 45-year-old company that manufactures yard trucks for transporting containers at ports, rail terminals and distribution centers around the world. It was making significant investments in technologies, equipment and people to support the development of a new truck, but its employees, sales network and customers weren’t aware of these efforts. After an in-depth immersion into Capacity Truck’s factory, products and core processes, several product differentiators were identified, branded and communicated to these key groups. This drove engagement and belief in the new product. Consequently, the launch of the company’s new truck was a success and the product exceeded all sales and market share goals, helping re-establish Capacity Trucks as a leader. JETSETMAG.COM

Altitude // Industry There’s strength in a name. Betts Industries is a family-owned, centuries-old manufacturer of tank trailer components. The company regularly invests in innovative engineering and materials in order to manufacture safer, more durable products, but its sales network and customers weren’t aware of these enhancements. Additionally, a numbering system was being used to identify individual products, which in essence hid the uniqueness they brought to the market. By renaming the vents it produced and communicating their advantages, Betts re-engaged its sales network and increased their confidence in selling its products, and customers were turned into believers. Telling the story is critical. Tesla sold more Model 3 vehicles in the U.S. last year than many other competitive luxury models, including the MercedesBenz C-Class, BMW 3-Series sedans and the Lexus ES. They did this without a traditional dealer sales network by sharing their story with customers. By adeptly communicating what makes them different, Tesla has created a community of customers who believe in their product and have become brand evangelists.

Make the sales team the architects. Brands introduce new products, services and initiatives all the time, but they’re not always welcomed by sales teams. Maybe a company is implementing an eCommerce solution that puts the sales network on the defense. Perhaps there’s a product that requires dealers or distributors to upgrade their facilities. In these situations, it is best to involve the people who represent the brand early in the process. Discover their concerns and challenges. Learn their needs for making the introduction a success. Then let those learnings guide a plan to successfully engage them and gain their buy-in. In essence, treat the sales network as architects. The more involved they are, the more likely they will believe in the new product or support a new paradigm.

56

JETSETMAG.COM

A company could have the greatest brand, product or service on the market, but if employees and sales networks don’t believe in it or understand what makes it special, it will be hard to convince customers to try it. They have to understand the why in order to make it easy for customers to buy in and believe. Engaging these key stakeholders gives them the power to change minds, increases consideration and ultimately creates a formidable position of strength that will be difficult for any competitor to beat.

FINANCIAL EDUCATION IS THE KEY TO FINANCIAL SUCCESS BY KEN MCELROY

58

JETSETMAG.COM

M

ost of the school teachers I have ever met are typically broke. Not that they want to be broke, but the truth is that most of them just don’t make very much money, don’t know how to manage money, and struggle just to keep up with inflation. Yet we often have school teachers doing their best to pass on financial concepts to students. As a country, we’ve seen where a lack of personal financial education can lead. Millions of people struggle every day with their money, living paycheck to paycheck and relying on credit cards for necessities, only to wind up deep in debt and short on hope. Beyond that, many people are finding that they can’t buy homes, invest for retirement or save for their child’s college fund because of their own student loan debt, massive car payments and general lack of financial planning. So why is it that so many of us listen to people that aren’t financially successful? It seems like such a simple and basic idea. Knowledge comes from experience.

If you want to learn about personal finance, start by asking questions of real people that have real experience at being financially successful. Typically, these aren’t school teachers, but if you do find a school teacher that is self-made and financially independent, I would highly suggest you take note. The truth is, financial literacy will be the major factor for your financial future and will help you meet your financial goals. Financial literacy helps you through times of financial hardship and can help you get the most out of your income. Financial literacy helps you go from surviving to thriving and can improve many areas of your life, including relationships, careers, hobbies and home life. I didn’t enjoy math in school. I didn’t get some of the basic concepts early on and so the class and the teacher moved on without me. I was too embarrassed to speak up at the time and so I just went on believing I wasn’t very good at numbers. I have countless friends that felt the same way growing up, including Robert Kiyosaki, author of Rich Dad Poor Dad, as well as many other books on personal finance. Today, I am a rich man and so are most of my friends, including Robert Kiyosaki. I say this not to brag but to let you know that I was totally lost financially as a young man. I fell into financial debt with student loans, I didn’t understand the fees and charges on my credit cards and when I gave my first $2,000 to a financial planner, that amount stayed the same for the next ten years. When I turned 30 years old, I was definitely making more money but I wasn’t ahead financially. I realized that my net worth was the same as it was when I was 20 years old. So I decided to take JETSETMAG.COM

control of my financial future by asking better questions and I began to study books written by people that were financially successful. I slowly started to learn and realized that there were a few very basic financial concepts that seemed to be consistent in the all the books I was reading. I then sought out mentors to confirm these concepts.

Concept # 1 — You don’t need your own money to make money. This is a concept that most people can’t get their head around. If you don’t believe this to be true, then you have a fixed mindset and no one can help you but yourself. You will spend most of your time justifying and supporting your own beliefs. It’s really just your own ignorance. For those of you with a growth mindset and are open to new ideas, let’s explore how money works. When you put your money into a bank, it creates an expense for the bank because the bank owes you interest on your money. One way a bank makes money so they can pay the interest on your account is to loan the money out to others at a higher interest rate. So in this example, a bank is using your money to make money. When I need money to build or buy an apartment community, I simply call people with money. This can be a bank, insurance company, pension fund or even financial planners. Guess what all these have in common? They manage or hold someone else’s money and are looking for good investments. Again, in this example they are using your money to make money. And I’m borrowing your money to make money. Both of us are making money by using your money. Thank you, by the way.

This is the system we are in, and once I understood this, I started to see the world a bit differently. From my experience, there is never a money problem — there is only an idea problem. You come up with the right idea and the “investor” money will always be there. Money is made in the mind. You do need to be in the right mindset to make money. Read and study classic books like Rich Dad, Poor Dad and Think And Grow Rich to find out what is necessary to get your mindset in the right place. If you hold onto beliefs like “You need money to make money,” you will have a very difficult time attracting money into your life. Concept #2 — All investors want infinite returns. Infinite returns are achieved when you no longer have any money invested in something but you still own it and it is still generating income. Your return is infinite. Examples of real estate infinite returns are “cash-out refinance” and “no money down” investment strategies. When used properly, either one can provide infinite returns on your investment. “No money down” doesn’t require any cash up front, but is difficult to use in competitive situations or with highly desirable properties. On the other hand, cash-out refinances require money up front, but can work in value-add situations. One of my favorite aspects of a cashout refinance is that it allows you to get your original investment out, but doesn’t require you to sell the property to enjoy the extra value you’ve created.

62

JETSETMAG.COM

All money from a cash-out via refinance is “tax free,” by the way. Which makes it even more infinite. Most successful real estate investors started their careers by using “investor” money or OPM (Other People’s Money) and taking a “sweat equity” position. In other words, they did not need their own money to make money. The “investor equity” gets paid first and the “sweat equity” gets paid second. This can be a win/win for both parties. Well-known stories for non-real estate infinite returns are Bill Gates and Michael Dell, who each started their business in the dormitory of their school. Google and Yahoo were also started in the college dorm while Amazon and Apple were started in a garage. There are numerous stories of people that started their business right from home. If you want to get out of the rat race, you are going to need to embrace the fact that you will need to take an active role in managing and making your own money. Ken McElroy is the co-partner of MC Companies, a real estate investment, development and management company located in Scottsdale, Ariz. He is the author of the bestselling books, The ABC’s of Real Estate Investing, The Advanced Guide to Real Estate Investing, and The ABC’s of Property Management. McElroy is also a contributor for The Real Book of Real Estate by Robert Kiyosaki, and The Midas Touch by Donald Trump and Robert Kiyosaki. I 64

n October of 2019, I was in Japan for the Rugby World Cup and to deliver a number of talks to Japanese entrepreneurs. The Rugby World Cup was a very exciting event — well done, well organized, and fun. My three talks to the Japanese entrepreneurs were less well received. I am fourth-generation Japanese-American, which is my excuse for not speaking the Japanese language. While I have an understanding of the ancient and beautiful Japanese culture, I must admit that I find the culture a bit confining. In other words, I am grateful my greatgrandparents left Japan in the 1890s. I would not do well as a Japanese citizen. I truly am Japanese . . . American. Although jetlagged on the first evening in Tokyo, my team of five speakers and myself were whisked to an extremely expensive Japanese restaurant. One of the first questions one of my speaker team members asked our Japanese hosts was “How is the Japanese economy?” The question was posed by my stock market expert, John MacGregor, author of The Top 10 Reasons Why the Rich Go Broke. Their reply: “Our economy is great. The Japanese stock market, the Nikkei, is up.” As I stated in the opening paragraph of this article, the three talks we presented in Japan were not well received. JETSETMAG.COM

Our presentations in Japan addressed the two different types of modern depressions — inflationary depressions and deflationary depressions. Inflationary Depressions Today, the country of Zimbabwe is in a hyper-inflationary depression. Zimbabwe has been in a hyper-inflationary depression for three decades. A hyper-inflation is caused when a country’s currency fails and no one wants the money, no matter how much the country prints.

Deflationary Depressions Japan has been in a deflationary depression — also for three decades. No matter how much money the Bank of Japan prints, the country’s economy keeps deflating. Japan will survive as long as the people of Japan and the banks of the world have faith in the government of Japan and the yen. We were asked: “What are the differences between the depressions in Zimbabwe and Japan?”

“According to economists Carmen Reinhart and Kenneth Rogoff, once an economy passes 90 percent Debt to GDP, the point of no return has been passed. Printing more money via QE and lowering interest rates to zero, ZIRP, will not solve a country’s financial problems..” The answer? The money. Zimbabwe’s depression was caused by the country borrowing money in U.S. dollars. In other words, Zimbabwe’s debt is in U.S. dollars. Japan’s depression is internally financed, in Japanese yen. The U.S. debt is a bit different. The U.S. dollar is the reserve currency of the world, so the U.S. dollar is the strongest currency in the world. It is said that the U.S. dollar is the last horse in line at the glue factory. That means the United States may be the last country to slide into the next depression.

Rich Countries In September of 2019, a few days before flying to Japan, I was in Zimbabwe for three weeks. The difference between the people of Zimbabwe and the people of Japan is that my friends in Zimbabwe know they are in a depression and have been for over 30 years. The good news is this awareness makes them stronger, more resilient and better prepared for the United States and Europe to slide into depression. The Japanese are not. The Japanese entrepreneurs we spoke to remain in La-La-Land. Most seemed complacent, comfortable with “the good life” and unprepared for the global depression that’s on the way. Most Americans live in that same La-La-Land.

The irony is that all three countries — Zimbabwe, Japan, and the United States — are rich countries. The seeds of financial destruction are found in their governments, educational systems, banks and Wall Street. As some of you may know, over these same three decades, I have been asking the same questions: “What does school teach us about money?” and to the answer (which is “Little to nothing ....”), I ask, “Why not?” ISSUE 1 . 2020

65

Altitude // Finance

Few people realize that the problem is not in our stock market. The global problem is in our bond markets, aka debt. The only reason why the Japanese stock market, the Nikkei, and the U.S. stock market, the Dow, are at all-time highs is because of QE, quantitative easing, printing money, using credit/debt to purchase stocks, and ZIRP, Zero-Interest Rate Policy. This creates the illusion of prosperity. Simply put, the global economy is a house of cards, waiting for the big bad wolf to huff and puff and blow the house down. Three Little Pigs We have all heard the fairytale of the Three Little Pigs. Today, unfortunately, the story of the three little pigs is not a fairytale. Today, many Americans and many Japanese are plump little pigs, living, for the most part, in financial houses made of straw. Both Americans and Japanese drink the little pigs’ favorite drink, Kool-Aid. The soothing Kool-Aid of the poor and middle class is:

66

“Go to school and learn nothing about money, get a job, although A.I. (artificial intelligence) and G-5 will make job security obsolete, pay taxes, although the rich pay next to nothing in taxes, save money, even though interest rates are below zero and governments are printing money, buy a house, although the housing market is in a bubble, get out of debt, unaware that all government fiat money is debt, and invest for the long term in a well-diversified portfolio of stocks, bonds, mutual funds and ETFs, when today the financial markets are run by robots, where long-term is measured in milliseconds, and corporate CEOs are loading the corporations they run and mom and pop invest in, turning once AAA corporations, such as GE, GM, ATT, and Ford into BBB, pre-junk corporations.” JETSETMAG.COM

Baby-Boomer Crisis The over-priced, subprime corporations of America and Japan are just the tip of the financial iceberg. Today, Japanese and American baby boomers are cruising on board their bucket-list cruise, on board the S.S. Titanic as the financial iceberg awaits its date with destiny. In 2008, the world economy nearly collapsed when subprime mortgages, provided by the Fed and Wall Street, nearly collapsed the world. Rather than fix the problem, the Federal Reserve Bank bailed out Wall Street with subprime money. Which begs the question: “Can the Fed, with interest rates nearing zero, bail out the world economy again?” I would not bet my life on it. The crisis of 2008 was not solved. And the financial iceberg has only gotten bigger.

Debt to GDP In 2019, Japan’s Debt to GDP ratio was 240 percent. America’s Debt to GDP is 115 percent. According to economists Carmen Reinhart and Kenneth Rogoff, once an economy passes 90 percent Debt to GDP, the point of no return has been passed. Printing more money via QE and lowering interest rates to zero, ZIRP, will not solve a country’s financial problems. Once past 90 percent, the economy is going over the edge and a depression will follow.

Students in Crisis In 2009, in another desperate attempt to save the U.S. economy, the Obama Administration transferred the administration of student loans from the banks and turned student loans over to the U.S. Treasury. Today, student loan debt is the number one asset of the U.S. government, estimated to be over $1.5 trillion.

Rise of Socialism Today, socialism and communism are hot topics on the YouTube circuit. Inquiring minds want to know if socialism and communism are the answer to our American financial crisis. One of the rising stars on the speaking circuit and YouTube circuit is Richard Wolff, a graduate of Yale, Harvard, and Stanford, and a popular economist on college campuses. I suggest people watch his YouTube presentations or go see him in person. He makes a lot of sense for the rise of socialism and communism. I agree with him, in theory, on most of his points. He makes a lot of sense ... if you live in La-La Land. Hitler and Mussolini, also socialists, made a lot of sense, too. So do Democratic candidates Bernie Sanders, Elizabeth Warren, and AOC, Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez. When a person is in financial pain, the miracle cures promised by socialism and communism sound wonderful. Economist, scholar and Marxist Richard Wolff’s vision of a socialist and communist America also sounds magical, wonderful and worth a try. Who would not want free education, free housing, loan forgiveness and a demand that the greedy rich pay for the less fortunate? Isn’t that

what Robin Hood fought for? He, too, asked: “Why not take from the rich and give to the poor?” Richard Wolff is anti-capitalist. His vision of a socialist, cooperative, kinder future is beautiful... even desirable. The problem is it is not capitalism he criticizes. It is the corruption of capitalism. Neither socialism nor communism will cure corruption. Greed, jealousy, crime, incompetence, laziness and corruption are human conditions... conditions without boundaries, conditions not confined by political or economic philosophies. If greed, incompetence, laziness, and corruption were solved with a switch to socialism and communism, I would be socialist/communist today. Questions for Today Until then, I ask myself: “What type of depression is America entering: inflationary or deflationary?” The next question I ask myself is: “Who would I rather be... a resilient and proactive Zimbabwean or a happy and complacent Japanese person?” I ask you the same question.

Best known as the author of Rich Dad Poor Dad — the #1 personal finance book of all time — Robert Kiyosaki has challenged and changed the way tens of millions of people around the world think about money. He is an entrepreneur, educator, and investor who believes that each of us has the power to makes changes in our lives, take control of our financial future, and live the rich life we deserve. With perspectives on money and investing that often contradict conventional wisdom, Robert has become a passionate and outspoken advocate for financial education.

Educating for the Jobs of Tomorrow By Daymond John

A

t this year’s Consumer Electronics Show (CES) in Las Vegas, I had the pleasure of visiting with one of the nations’s top auto manufacturers. This enlightening meeting gave me a little insight into how they do business and helped get me up-to-date on everything that they’re working on. The most exciting thing? Their new technology concerning self-driving cars. I am always looking towards the future, and I am convinced — especially after visiting with this automaker — that autonomous vehicles are going to play a huge role in our future. But something they shared alarmed me. They told me they can’t find enough technicians to service these vehicles. How could that be? I wondered.

It really speaks to a larger problem in our country, one that begins in the classroom. Kids these days are going to college for four years, and getting out two-hundred or three-hundred thousand dollars in debt. This places a tremendous burden on them as they begin their careers. Imagine starting a basketball game down twenty points; your chances of success aren’t great, are they? And the worst part is that fifty percent of these kids in school today will end up retiring with a job title that doesn’t exist any more. Think about that for a second. Think about the massive amount of debt these kids are acquiring, and remind yourself that many of them are studying for job titles that will be either antiquated or obsolete. On the other hand, as countless jobs disappear, others (many in entirely new or developing sectors) are being created. The automaker I met with said that they can find tons of traditional mechanics — the kinds that work at bodyshops and dealerships — but the specialists they actually need are scarce to say the least. The week after CES, I went and spoke at the Associated Equipment Distributors (AED) Summit and Construction Dealer Expo (CONDEX), and they told me that whether it is for crane operators or technicians or bulldozer operators, their job listings are vacant for 15 months. 15 months! Meanwhile, another 5,000 steel workers will probably have gotten laid off by the time you read this. Unlike my fellow shark Mark Cuban, I am not a political guy. People that know me know that I steer clear of heated debates and try not to get involved in public political discussions; it’s just not who I am. I have met our new president several times, and I know many people who have done business with him. There are things I like about him, and things I don’t. I didn’t support him, yet there are

“The world has changed, manufacturing has changed, and energy is changing as well. Many jobs that have been shipped to China or Mexico are gone for good.” - Daymond John

definitely some things I agree with that he has proposed. But there is one thing in particular he has said that frustrates me, one thing he has really hammered on that I feel is somewhat disingenuous. Frequently throughout the campaign (and now in the White House), President Trump has talked about how he is going to bring back manufacturing and coal mining jobs. He has gone to the plants, hosted members of these communities, and made several firm, declarative promises. Now I understand where he is coming from; he wants to acknowledge the people that feel like society doesn’t care about them (and in many ways, the forgotten blue collar workers in the Rust Belt are the reason he got elected). But I feel like he is doing these people a grave disservice. He doesn’t want to tell them the truth. But if we truly care about them (as I believe he does), then we have to be honest with ISSUE 1 . 2020

them. The truth is that many of these people’s jobs are not coming back. The world has changed, manufacturing has changed, and energy is changing as well. Many jobs that have been shipped to China or Mexico are gone for good. But where some see despair, I see opportunity. What if we taught these steel workers to become crane operators? What if we taught these coal miners to work at solar plants? And what if we taught our truck drivers to become autonomous car techs? The car manufacturer I met with told me that these technicians can earn up to $150,000 a year. Even better, they only have to go to school one year, not four like so many of these kids who are piling on debt to learn an antiquated trade and pray for a 50k a year starting salary. The crane/bulldozer operators and machine technicians I learned about at CONDEX? They can make over $200,000 a year. And these are just some of the “blue collar” jobs; the tech companies of tomorrow are literally begging for more well-trained technicians and programers. I could go on, but the fact is that there are countless good, high-paying jobs out there in new and emerging industries.

“We need to start being honest with not just our blue collar workers, but our kids as well. They deserve it.”

We just need better education. Schools in this country (at all levels) are antiquated. I could dive way in depth on this topic, but that is a different article for a different time. All I am going to say is that we need to start being honest with not just our blue collar workers, but our kids as well. They deserve it. Reality check. Not everyone who graduates high school should go to college, and not everyone who goes to college is going to become a doctor, teacher, or lawyer. But everyone who goes to college will leave with massive amounts of debt. So why not start at the beginning and find the right path for each student before they learn useless information and pile on tremendous debt? I am also a realist. I know that educating workers who have spent years in dying industries to learn a new trade will be tough. But it’s not impossible. And it’s far easier to reform our education system from grade school to trade school to make sure that we are training our workers for the careers of the future, not the careers of the past. Now, as a Jetset reader, you may be wondering how exactly this all applies to you. But this issue goes way beyond moral responsibility. These are the people that will make our businesses successful for generations, and our financial future is directly tied to theirs. So let’s start being honest with them. Let’s start really educating them. Our future depends on it.

ARE YOU CONTRIBUTING WISELY? BY DR. JOHN DEMARTINI

W

hen you fill your days with your highest priority actions – ones that are focused on a deeply meaningful pursuit or purpose that serves ever greater numbers of others, as well as yourself, you will probably awaken a deeper, more profound and longer lasting level of overall fulfillment and a desire for making a greater contribution to others. And, when you fill your day with actions that contribute to the solution of a humanitarian challenge, one that deeply inspires you, your life is less likely to fill up with low priority distractions that won’t. You’ll live a more solutionoriented life, one that contributes to the greater welfare of those possibly perceived to be less fortunate, as well as one that feels deeply and meaningfully rewarding. As you pursue, expand and grow certain in your own many individual achievements, you will probably feel compelled to begin a greater leadership role in some humanitarian or philanthropic cause, one that uplifts the welfare of selective or collective social humanity. But, in order to create a sustainable fair exchange between yourself and others, equity and equanimity will be essential. Like most, if not all, human beings, you and others desire mutual respect and dignity. The practice of charitable philanthropy means the voluntary serving, contributing or giving of help or resources to those possibly perceived less fortunate or in need. There are a number of complementary opposite philosophies about charity. But, effective contribution is the use of evidence and reasoning to determine the most productive ways to contribute respectfully to others.

contributing to meaningful social movements. Contributions to causes that benefit the less fortunate indirectly, such as donations to fund cancer research, are also considered charity. If and when you do become inspired to contribute to a charitable cause, it is prudent to predetermine the charitable model you plan on giving to, or through. Would you love to contribute or donate as a benefactor to a charitable conglomerate, which then secondarily contributes further to ever greater numbers of specific recipients? Would you love to contribute or donate to a charitable organization which further contributes to growing numbers of recipients? Would you love to contribute to a charitable organization which offers microfinance loans to select entrepreneurial recipients? Or, would you love to contribute or donate directly to recipients of your choosing? This is becoming more common due to insufficient transparency within many charities. Would you love to contribute directly to recipients as a microfinance loan provider? Would you love to provide money for a recipient’s work and support them while they do their work as a catalyst for their individual growth and self-sufficient development? Regardless of the charitable model you choose, it is wise to sort out the actual needy from those who fraudulently claim a need for charity. Historically, wealthier individuals have given more in total, but often at a lower percentage of their overall income, while less wealthy individuals have given less in total, but often at a higher percentage of their overall income.

The impoverished, particularly those widowed or orphaned, and the incapacitated, ailing or injured, are generally regarded as the “proper” recipients of charity. The people who believe they “cannot” support themselves and believe they lack, or choose not to earn, or request outside means of support sometimes become beggars, directly soliciting aid from strangers encountered in public. Some groups regard charity as being restricted to members from within their particular group, like family and friends. While other groups consider it charity to give to others outside their immediate group. Most forms of charity are concerned with providing basic necessities such as food, water, clothing, healthcare and shelter, but other actions may be performed as charity: visiting the imprisoned or the homebound, ransoming captives, educating orphans, even

If and when you become inspired to contribute to others, also become acutely aware of the challenges or possible downsides that your charitable contribution could initiate in the recipients. It is wise not to become overly compassionate, sympathetic and sentimental with the assumed suffering of others and exaggerate their need and then rob them of any responsibility and inner fulfillment for transcending their current and possibly self-imposed positions.

“Be self-reflective and aware of your unconscious motives or agendas – those compensating for guilt of the past or hidden agendas of your future. Listen and look carefully for spoken and unspoken hidden needs in yourself and the recipients. If your charitable contributions are driven purely by elevating your social status and affirming your existing hierarchy of power as a master or hero, it can lead to tragic hubris outcomes.”

Altitude // Inspire Make sure your donated charitable contributions do not rob your recipients of their dignity, accountability, responsibility and productivity and undermine their inner power to contribute self-sufficiently to themselves and their society. Make sure your contributions do not prolong the reasons for the recipient’s current position of poverty or need. And make sure you do not tyrannize your recipients, or rule or treat them despotically or cruelly due to their assumed less fortunate or disadvantaged position. Instead, ensure that your contributions are truly serving the recipients in the long haul and in some way expanding their awareness and potential. Major city streets can be sprinkled with swarms of beggars who try to awaken your pity in possibly the most shameless and sometimes annoying manner as you pass them by. They may expose their tattered clothing, disgusting wounds and deformities with signs announcing their sickly diseases and desperation. When you donate largely to charitable institutions, you may become spared of such unfulfilling and impertinent begging antics and this may motivate this particular indirect third-party model of charity. Ensure that your chosen charity organization is truly charitable and not one demonstrating inequitable self-interests. Ensure it regards its contributions not as a business matter, making bargains with the poor, thereby allowing you to contribute to this so-called benevolent institution in a way that you do not have to be troubled any further, and that the recipients are bound thereby to stay in their dusty holes and not irritate your tender nerves by exposing their miseries to you openly or directly. When you feel compelled to be charitable, keep your objective reason and make sure you are not being guilt-tripped into contributing to every so-called “worthy” cause. Think twice before you contribute, particularly over the phone in cold-call telemarketer situations. Be proactive and identify the charitable cause you deeply care most about by doing research to find out how the truest charities carry out their type of service or work. Keep in mind that it may be more impactful to make a few carefully screened large contributions instead of many small ones. It may be wise to self-govern your charitable impulses, for your compassionate acts can possibly become toxic if and when they strip recipients of their dignity and foster unhealthy dependency rather

than empowerment. It is wise to know the distinction between their crisis need and their chronic need. Their crisis need may demand a true emergency intervention —like disaster relief after hurricanes, typhoons, tornadoes, droughts, fires or earthquakes. Their chronic need may require education and development to assist them in putting their lives back together and empower them. If you address a crisis need with emergency intervention, lives may be saved. If you address a chronic need with emergency response, recipients may become further disempowered and discouraged. When your charity responds to chronic need with one-way giving, it can end up dispiriting the recipients they want to help. One-way charitable contributions may prompt appreciation the first time they are offered. But repeated charitable donations can create a downward spiral — from anticipation, to expectation, to entitlement, to dependency. Likewise, paternalistic top-down charity to the poor, rather than alongside the poor, can feed condescending feelings of superiority by the contributor and create resentment among the recipients. You can mean well, and you may want to be of true service, but you can insult those who just appear to be less fortunate, without realizing it. For instance, purchasing toys for children and delivering them at the holiday season can temporarily make the children respond with excitement. Their mothers may become gracious, but their fathers may disappear because they could not bear to have their economic

impotence and inability to provide exposed in front of their families. Instead of one-sided donations, it might be wiser to simply see about hiring and engaging the parents according to their true, most resourceful skills so they can become productive and self-sufficient enough to be able to pay for their own children’s toys directly with dignity, accountability, responsibility and productivity. It is often wise to focus on the assets already present within the recipients instead of assessing their needs, making assumptions and looking for resources outside the recipients to meet those presumed needs. It is also wise to see recipients as people with resources, talents and abilities more than simply those with need. There are special hidden or revealed talents in every recipient. Every individual has something of value to contribute. Inspiring them to discover their talents and letting them emerge may be more contributive than rescuing those assumed to be incapable and in desperation. It is further wise to consider reciprocity more than only one-way giving. At every level of humanity, each recipient has a unique capacity, resource and skill. Giving recipients the opportunity to participate in sustainable fair exchanges is often the most fruitful. One-way giving is primarily for crises. It is unwise to do for recipients what they have the capacity to do for themselves, for this can weaken and entitle them. It serves recipients most when you find ways of legitimate sustainable fair exchange. Empowering them by hiring, lending and/or investing

in their unique skills, talents or knowledge is often more impactful. Consider only offering gifts sparingly as incentives to reinforce their achievements. It is essential to create honorable and sustainable fair exchanges that breed dignity, so contribute, lend or invest in a way that brings about accountability. Let your yearning to provide humanitarian and philanthropic charity make the true difference you would love to make. Investing in selected recipients can open up new business opportunities and help the economy. It is respectful to make money with the poor more than for or on the less fortunate. Equitable exchanges are more lasting, so put the interests of the poor on par with or above your own self-interests or the interests of even the charitable organization. Clear consciousness and more sustainable economic outcomes arise from equitable exchanges or transactions. Be self-reflective and aware of your unconscious motives or agendas – those compensating for guilt of the past or hidden agendas of your future. Listen and look carefully for spoken and unspoken hidden needs in yourself and the recipients. If your charitable contributions are driven purely by elevating your social status and affirming your existing hierarchy of power as a master or hero, it can lead to tragic hubris outcomes. Humanitarian or philanthropic public projects that empower and develop recipients can at times be more meaningful than targeted charities that affect the select few. Requesting hard objective evidence of the true contribution provided behind your charitable contributions is prudent. Assure that your contributions truly count. Sometimes considering scientific research, corporate or even government policy initiatives, and not just the nonprofit sector, can assist society in deeply meaningful ways. JETSETMAG.COM

Before selecting your charity, it is also prudent to take advantage of charity watchdog groups that screen out charities that may be less than credible. Investigating your chosen charity and assuring that it truly contributes responsibly and efficiently on its mission and is not wasteful, poorly managed, tax evading or fraudulent (through nepotism, deception, conflicts of interest, inside compensations) is being responsible. Check to see if your charity is completely transparent and upfront about how it will spend your money. Do your due diligence and look into the charity’s finances, and once you contribute, follow up to find out how your money was spent. Is the charity contributing to what it claims or does it have unreasonable administrative, operative, overhead and first, second or third-party fund raising costs? Ensure that the lion’s share of your contribution is not being diverted to a for-profit telemarketing business or for other questionable expenses. WHY THE WORLD NEEDS MORE GAL GADOT BY SI SI PENALOZA

T

here’s the kind of fame you gain from playing heroes like, say, theoretical physicist Stephen Hawking. Eddie Redmayne can still pick up his own dry cleaning in a pinch, without raising eyebrows. But for those who win coveted roles in the Marvel or DC Comics world, it’s a whole next level notoriety. Just ask Robert Downey Jr or Joaquin Phoenix, who can’t step six paces from their car without being gawked at. When the new and improved Wonder Woman made her debut in 2016’s critically panned Batman v. Superman: Dawn of Justice, Gal Gadot was the single bright light to escape the trainwreck. With less than ten minutes of screen time to leverage, the smokeshow brunette was touted as the savior of the DC universe. Then came the ultimate validation for Warner Brothers’ distribution strategy — Wonder Woman annihilated box-office records: highest-grossing superhero movie led by a female character; highest-grossing live-action film directed by a woman, Patty Jenkins. New promo photos of Gadot in Wonder Woman 1984 surfaced as a superbly crafted statement tease, further hyping the most anticipated sequel slated for Summer 2020. The aspiring blockbuster co-stars Chris Pine, Kristen Wigg, Connie Nielson, and Robin Wright. The Israeli actress was crowned Miss Israel in 2004, at the age of 18. She comes by her superhero chops in earnest, as after cinching the crown, she served for two years in the Israel Defense Forces as a fight training instructor. She definitely knows how to throw down the gauntlet without the use of superpowers. Her job in combat readiness required her to run seven miles every day at 6:30 a.m. Imagine being trained in hand to hand combat by none other than the elite fighter who would one day become Wonder Woman. Now there’s a story for the grandkids. Even for one as sporty as Gal, transforming herself into the ultimate “Amazon” was no easy task. Unlike other leading ladies with vague responses on their workouts, Gadot generously over shares on what it took to sculpt her Wonder Woman physique. In the era of Instagram feeds of supermodels surviving on french toast and french fries, we welcome Gadot’s refreshing candor on what she went through to become a superhero on screen. The actress worked out six hours daily— an adrenaline fueled regime that ran the gamut from martial arts for conditioning to equestrian for core strength. She’s also been known to shoot hoops and dance hip-hop to stay in shape. By focusing on a strict protocol of protein and greens, she was able to build muscle in all the right places. And let’s not underestimate her efficiency with swordplay. Kung fu, kickboxing, jiu-jitsu, oh my!

If Gadot hadn’t risen as an actress, she’d likely be a professional choreographer. It was her first love; she was a dancer for 12 years, excelling in ballet, modern dance and jazz. She also happens to be a motorsports junkie, she owns a black 2006 Ducati that she rides in her civilian life. Motorcycles aren’t the only thing that Gadot loves to ride; she’s an equestrian and loves the thrill of riding a new horse on set or when traveling. An intensely physical performer, Gadot’s daredevil feats aren’t always a CGI smokescreen. For her character’s return in Fast & Furious 6, Gadot proved she could be as baller as her male counterparts and was given more action sequences. One particularly harrowing stunt involved jumping from a moving motorcycle onto a JEEP Grand Cherokee Laredo while suspended in a harness, and riding a Ducati Monster. JEEP has never looked so sexy and safe at the same time. Despite her renown and ravenous work ethic, Gadot clearly knows how to laugh, building an easy camaraderie with co-stars Jon Hamm and Zach Galifianakis’ on the set of Keeping Up With the Joneses. On the press junket she told reporters, “I love comedy. In real life I’m the type of girl who doesn’t take herself too seriously.” Speaking of onscreen sparks, one of the highlights of Wonder Woman was the chemistry between Gadot and love interest Chris Pine. As it turns out, one of the most lovable bits of banter in the film was completely improvised— the boat scene. Clearly, the pair were completely comfortable with their respective roles, and each other. Their rapport proved so off the charts, clips from the scene featured as an emotional anchor in the trailers. Using her fame for good, Gal teamed up with Reebok to spread the word about the benefits of getting fit as a superhero. Gadot was modest in discussing her role model stature for young women. “I believe that the more exposed young girls are to strong inspiring female role models, the better it is,” she said in support of the much lauded Reebok “Be More Human” campaign.

Since achieving global fame, Gadot has proven heroic on and offscreen. Working her influence to aid those in need speaks to her broader perspective on the world beyond the Hollywood bubble. In shoring up her stance on the fundamental importance of quality education, she encourages her fans to develop their own passion projects and causes. Gadot’s warmth and wit in this competitive industry has seemingly protected her from the common pitfalls of instant international stardom. In fact, she scores major points from her fan base for sporting shoes most of us can afford. When the actress stepped out on the red carpet for the Los Angeles Wonder Woman premiere, she wowed with jewels from Tiffany and showed off a Givenchy siren red halter sheath with aplomb. Yet all the fashion blogs were fixated on Cinderella’s shoes. Who designed those elegant gladiator sandals? Think ALDO, for a mere $50. While Gadot’s red carpet style runs traditionally feminine, she admits she feels more at home in boot cut denim. Levi and Calvin Klein are her go-to brands when it comes to kicking back with family and friends. 2020 should prove a seismic year for Gadot, but before the splashy Wonder Woman 1984 rollout, she’ll be turning heads as the new face of Smartwater. With its product line set to grow this year, the designer water is partnering with Gadot as part of a media investment that amounts to the largest marketing campaign in the Coca-Cola-owned brand’s history. The most breathtaking Gal Gadot feature is her gaze— quixotic, sublime, smoldering when necessary. When her dramatic eyes settle on you, it’s utterly unsettling. Every cinematographer and photographer to work with her has made expedient use of this element of high drama, ostensibly hiding in plain sight. Her striking facial features make the notion of eyeliner and eyebrow booster seem suddenly excessive. Her cupid’s bow smile, though coming in second place, moves audiences in ways that marketers dream of. If her 2020 lineup is any indication, we’ll be seeing a lot more of this charismatic face for years to come. ISSUE ISSUE 12 .. 2020 2019

From its earliest U.S. appearance more than a century ago, the vaunted Formula 1 Grand Prix has been considered the ultimate show of automotive prowess in the lower 48 states. Unlike the more popularized U.S. racing forums of NASCAR and IndyCar, F1 has played perhaps the most significant role in shaping the worldwide perspective on motorsports through its rich history of road course racing and Grand Prix regulations. Each year, the industry’s top teams and manufacturers hone their skills in an effort to achieve victory and earn the inherent global recognition that comes with it. The U.S. Grand Prix has seen more than its share of ups and downs over the past several decades, with what were often brief stints and long droughts between events and U.S. appearances. The sport itself, though, has continued to reach new milestones and draw massive crowds by attracting neophyte fans and inking lucrative sponsorships. After a nine-year absence following the famous battles of Ayrton Senna and Alain Prost in Phoenix, AZ’s short-lived Grand Prix lifespan, Formula 1’s U.S. event made sporadic appearances in the early years of the new millennium. Fortunately, 2012 marked its revitalization, thanks to a purpose-built Grand Prix racing facility constructed just outside the buzzing city of Austin, TX. The stunning Circuit of The Americas (aka COTA) location provided the highly acclaimed event JETSETMAG.COM

with the ideal setting for its grand return to the States, one that has proven to be a perfect complement to the sport’s elevated-lifestyle experience. Together with Austin’s incessant passion for live music, COTA’s much improved recipe for success has been a much-needed catalyst for the F1 series to attract new and returning fanatics alike. World-class performances from a variety of internationally recognized recording artists, along with a full itinerary of interactive events, have become an integral part of the U.S. Grand Prix’s rapid growth over the past few years. As teams and engineers from Ferrari, Mercedes, Aston Martin Red Bull, Renault, and others work furiously to find new ways to reach peak performance, and the sport’s elite twenty Formula 1 drivers search for that much-desired edge that will solidify their place into the record books, the 2020 F1 season could very well be one of the most thrilling and adrenaline-filled racing series to date. If you’ve never been to the burgeoning music metropolis, it’s time to pack your bags and head for Texas. Austin’s bustling downtown area offers a virtual plethora of things to do. From dozens of colorful eateries and watering holes, to many of the state’s best attractions and live music venues, Austin’s charismatic energy is ubiquitous and undeniable. Luxury accommodations can be found in a few select

locations throughout the area, with our preferred lodging choice being the immaculate new Fairmont Austin resort and spa. The resort’s Fairmont Gold accommodations proved best suited for our needs, with private check-in and 24-hour personal concierge services. The property seems to have become the go-to locale for a number of teams and drivers, affording the opportunity to mix and mingle alongside Formula 1’s elite for those fortunate enough to book a Fairmont Gold stay. A special VIP Formula 1 party invite might also be on the agenda if you’re one of the lucky few to attend via the Fairmont Austin’s hidden “speakeasy” nightclub. With four full days of Formula 1 festivities over the event’s race weekend, anyone in attendance is sure to experience the thrill and excitement of the sport that’s ultimately helped drive troves of fervent Formula 1 fanatics to each of the annual championship’s international stops. Beginning with practice sessions that offer a glimpse of what’s to come on race day, as well as a handful of alternative racing series events (such as vintage racing, Formula 2 and the Formula 4 U.S. Championship), these “preview” days provide just the right amount of anticipation and adrenaline before heading into qualifying on Saturday afternoon. COTA’s concert schedule and other events

across the facility’s immense infield and surrounding paddocks offer attendees a chance to truly appreciate what makes Formula 1 a worldwide phenomenon. For the Jetset reader, COTA Club’s Turn 12 location provides fullservice catering and a clear view of the Lone Star painted corner, while F1’s Paddock Club gives VIPs up-close access to the ten teams and their talented drivers. On any of the four days, celebrities such as Jetset cover icon Matthew McConaughey and Will.I.Am can be seen in the Paddock area mingling with their fellow A-List counterparts and world-class drivers. Patrick Dempsey, Michael Douglas, and racing legends like nine-time Le Mans champion Tom Kristensen are regularly sighted at the sport’s annual U.S. event, making access to these exclusive areas of the gorgeous Circuit of The Americas a must for any affluent attendee. The 2021 Formula 1 championship season will bring inevitable changes, among them a completely new race car design and team budget restrictions that are aimed at narrowing the gap and delivering closer races with more exciting results. F1 is clearly destined to evolve into an even more popular sport, and tickets to the series’s only U.S. event are sure to sell out quickly. Our advice: reserve your pass today before it’s too late. It’s one heart-racing adventure not soon to be forgotten.
