EthnoWorld
Ethno is JM International’s programme for folk, world and traditional music. Founded in 1990, it is aimed at young musicians up to the age of 30 with a mission to revive and keep alive global cultural heritage. Present today in over 30 countries, Ethno engages young people through a series of annual international music camps as well as workshops, concerts and tours, working together with schools, conservatories and other groups of youth to promote peace, tolerance and understanding. At the core of Ethno is its democratic, peer-to-peer learning approach whereby young people teach each other the music from their countries and cultures. It is a non-formal pedagogy that has been refined over the past 30 years, embracing the principles of intercultural dialogue and understanding.

ETHNO PROCESS
ETHNO CHILE

This is a unique experience that will give you a deeper understanding of our Indigenous Peoples of New Zealand and our many other cultures that reside here in Aotearoa (land of the long white cloud), all while creating musical magic. Please note: Ethno New Zealand is held on a Marae, this is a Indigenous cultural space that means we sleep together under one roof and need to adhere to certain cultural norms (eg: no alcohol or smoking on site). We do however do our best to make sure we accommodate any cultural or other requirements in this space.
