This is the poster for my senior thesis/art show. The collection is a series of parodies of the war propoganda posters. These posters detail issues in the black community and compare them to warfare. While this is the poster for the show it is also a parody of a pre-existing poster and references the practice of taking the body parts of black people after they were lynched.

Though this client was real, the company was not. This project was done for a man proposing to his then girlfriend now wife. He needed convinving branded materials to convince his girlfriend that she was going to an awards cerimony to trick her into showing up for the proposal. She said yes!

FINE ART, typography illustrator mixed media 16 x 20 personal work
The art piece is a self portrait and is representational of me in so many ways not just my emotional state at the time. The work is meant to be reminiscent of an overcrowded message board in that you can still see This typography is inspired by the self portrait, it is symbolic of the old fading out in favor of the new, serif font fading away from the san-serif font. The serif font is overlaid with parts of

This piece is a gift to my grandfather. Though it was a gift it was in a way commissioned by him. The subject of the painting is a photo I took of his hand at my art show, while he questioned what constitutes art. Becuase of the simplicity of the subject matter I wanted to use a more visually interesting stlye so I chose an abstracted look.
