Thank You From

JONATHAN BERNIS Dear Friend, When I look back at 2014, it was an incredible year of ministry, made possible because of friends like you. As we walked through newly opened doors of opportunity, we saw so much fruit and so many lives touched by the Good News of Yeshua (Jesus). I am amazed at all you helped us accomplish! In several ways, 2014 was a year of firsts for Jewish Voice. We launched a new humanitarian aid ministry to elderly Holocaust survivors in Israel. We conducted our first Messianic Leadership Retreat in Ethiopia, encouraging Messianic leaders from all over that country. We also held our first citywide pastor’s gathering in Ethiopia, making great strides in dispelling prejudices against Messianic Believers and the Jewish People among evangelical pastors. Over 1,200 local leaders participated in this historic event, which included representation from every major church in Addis Ababa. We also reached out to a new location in Zimbabwe, bringing medical care to those desperately in need of help. And it was there that we celebrated the milestone of treating our 250,000th patient since beginning these medical outreaches! In Israel, we filmed some exciting new teaching footage from biblically historic locations in Israel, which allowed us to release two brand-new products for you to help spread the Good News: Yeshua’s Final Passover and His Final Footsteps: Retracing the Last 24 Hours of Jesus’ Life. Jewish Voice was also recognized by the United Nations as an international NGO (non-governmental organization) for the first time — an incredibly significant recognition! None of this would have been possible without you! I can’t thank you enough for your support.

As you look through this specially prepared report outlining the great things we accomplished together in 2014, I hope you realize just how important you are to Jewish Voice and the work that God has called us to do together. Thank you, and God bless you for your part in a wonderful year. We look forward with tremendous excitement to all God will do in and through us as we minister together in 2015. Serving together,

Jonathan Bernis President & CEO Jewish Voice Ministries International

OUR VISION AND MISSION V I S I O N

Romans 11:26 states very clearly that the Lord has ordained a set time in history when “All Israel shall be saved.” This occurs as the “fullness of the Gentiles” comes in and the blindness comes off of the eyes of the Jewish People. I believe we are living in those days. Now is the “set time to favor Zion,” the time that God has ordained for the restoration of the Jewish People. Jewish ministries, like Jewish Voice, are destined to move into central focus as the Church understands the role Israel and the Jewish People play in the Last Days preceding the return of the Messiah.

M I S S I O N

“I am not ashamed of the gospel, because it is the power of God for the salvation of everyone who believes: first for the Jew, then for the Gentile” (Romans 1:16). JVM’s mission is two-fold: Proclaiming the Gospel to the Jew first, and also to the Nations (Romans 1:16), and equipping the Church—providing education about the Hebraic roots of Christianity, the Church’s responsibility to Israel and the Jewish People, and how to share Messiah with the Jewish People. The Good News is proclaimed through television, print, humanitarian/medical outreaches, and large-scale international festivals.

OUTREACH Miracle of Israel Three years in the making, “The Miracle of Israel” was created as an outreach tool to reach Jewish People in the United States with the Good News of Yeshua the Messiah. This award-winning documentary is a historical snapshot of the Jewish People and their miraculous survival and restoration to their Land. Narrated by Leonard Nimoy, it tells the story of the only nation in world history that maintained a national identity for centuries without a homeland, pointing to the miraculous providence of God for His People. Jonathan Bernis plays a key role in the film, sharing his views on Messianic and Last Days’ prophecy and the identity of the Messiah. The documentary aired on major networks in cities across the U.S. with significant Jewish populations, and local Messianic congregations engaged in following up viewer inquiries and interest.

EDUCATION Sadly, many Believers in the Church today do not understand that God’s covenant with Israel stands as an everlasting covenant. Many Believers mistakenly think that Jewish People have a separate way of salvation other than Yeshua. This often results in the neglect of evangelistic focus on not just an entire people group, but of God’s chosen People. Our Church Relations team takes the Mission of Jewish Voice to local churches and ministries, and helps Believers understand the Jewish roots of Christianity, the Church’s responsibility to Jewish People and to Israel, and how to share Messiah with Jewish People.

EVENTS Alaskan Cruise

Israel Tour

Amid the impressive beauty of Alaska, cruise participants enjoyed spiritual renewal, worship, and fellowship together. They shared inspiring teaching by Jonathan Bernis and moving concerts by Marty Goetz and Maurice Sklar. Thirty-two couples recommitted themselves in a marriage rededication ceremony, and approximately 140 people enjoyed a Jewish Cooking Demonstration by Jonathan Bernis!

What an amazing experience! Walking where Yeshua walked inspired the faith of tour members like nothing ever before! Many participated in a water immersion in the Jordan River, where John the Baptist immersed Yeshua. One of the most powerful teaching times occurred at Megiddo where Jonathan Bernis explained the site where all history will culminate. Looking down on the valley where the Battle of Armageddon will take place, the Bible was brought to life like never before!

Festival of Jewish Music & Dance • and continue carrying out the vision and mission of Jewish Voice through humanitarian outreaches, television, print and online media, and speaking engagements.

THE STORY OF ONE She hoisted the wheelbarrow and leaned all her strength into it to begin pushing. Wobbling at first with the awkward cargo, she eventually found balance, and began a steady walk. It was not easy to push the weight of her 39-year old husband, but it was the only way. They lived an hour’s walk from our 2014 Gutu clinic in Zimbabwe and her husband needed medical help. Wilson is a farmer, a strong man who works the hard ground to provide for his family. He chops wood for fires that chase away the night frost and keep his tiny home warm. Two days ago, his ax missed the wood and slammed into his foot instead. And broke a bone. It was a hard road to walk all the way to the JVMI medical clinic, but an even harder road lay ahead of this farming family if they did not go. This kind of injury is serious no matter where one lives. But in the Zimbabwe bush country, with no access to medical care, the possibilities were grim: almost certain infection, possible gangrene, fever, losing the limb entirely, or even death. And then, a widow and children left to fend for themselves. But, we were there when they needed us. And with a baby on her back, Wilson’s wife pushed him in a wheelbarrow for over an hour to reach us. Doctors cleaned his wound, set his bone, and sutured him up. Without our care, Wilson could

have lost the use of his leg, or a possible much worse outcome. With new hope, the husband and wife settled themselves back into their wheelbarrow positions, and with a heave and push, they headed off. They would do it all over again the next day as they would come back for doctors to check the wound and change the dressing. “What could have been” was changed into hope for an entire family. The damage of an ax could have meant devastation, but the impact of the skilled and compassionate care of our outreach team was life-changing. We go because of people like Wilson. We go to heal lifethreatening conditions, relieve pain, and restore vision. As powerful as this is, the most important gift we bring is the Good News of Yeshua – the offer of healing for their hearts. This is just one story, but there are thousands more. Tens of thousands of lives were changed in 2014.

We – you and JVMI – are making a difference. TOGETHER we are healing bodies, drying tears, and bringing hope.

Thank You for partnering

with us in 2014! ...standing firm in one spirit, with one mind striving together for the faith of the gospel... —Philippians 1:27 (NASB)
