7 Anti-Semitism Again

SHALOM Dear Friend, We’ve dedicated this issue of the JVT magazine to keeping you abreast of the rise of anti-Semitism we’re currently witnessing around the world — from Israel, to the United Kingdom, to Nepal, Ukraine, and yes, to the United States. This renewed spread of hatred for the Jewish People and for Israel — a stubborn, Satanically fueled deception — makes the work of Jewish Voice all the more important right now. That’s why we’re intensifying our commitment to monitor world events and expanding our presence within Israel. At the same time, we’re using every medium at our disposal to combat the rising tide of lies, distortions, and misinformation about Israel. In the face of this resurgent hatred and oppression, God is moving in amazing ways around the world, stirring Jewish hearts and opening their eyes to the truth that Yeshua (Jesus) is the Messiah. And He is opening extraordinary doors of opportunity to Jewish Voice in strategic points of need in Israel and around the world. We believe it’s equally important to bring you these encouraging updates as well. Thus we have included some inspiring stories from some of our trusted friends who support what Jewish Voice is doing to reach the Jewish People. Keeping you and others informed about these developments and interpreting their prophetic significance is a key part of our mission here at Jewish Voice. Of course, your gifts of support help make that possible, but they do so much more. Thank you for being a faithful friend to me and to Jewish Voice. May God speak to you and encourage you in the pages that follow. Enjoy this issue.

The ancient roots of modern anti-Semitism NOW WHEN THE DRAGON SAW THAT HE HAD BEEN THROWN TO THE EARTH, HE STALKED THE WOMAN WHO HAD GIVEN BIRTH TO THE MALE CHILD . . . SO THE DRAGON BECAME ENRAGED AT THE WOMAN . . . (REVELATION 12:13, 17 TLV) By Jonathan Bernis

A DRAGON, A WOMAN, AND A CHILD

The dragon is enraged. The fact is, he has been furious for almost 2,000 years now. His rage has burned white hot ever since he failed — despite extraordinary and violent efforts throughout human history — to prevent God from bringing His promised Messiah into the earth to heal what Adam’s disobedience had broken. This “dragon’s” rage burns against all mankind, but the special focus of that wrath has been and continues to be the “woman” — the entity through which that “child” was delivered. The imagery above comes from the 12th chapter of Revelation — a passage that brings us a highly symbolic yet remarkably vivid picture of the cosmic warfare that raged around the birth of Yeshua ( Jesus). Of course, that birth represented the long-awaited fulfillment of the prophetic promise God made back in the Garden following mankind’s catastrophic fall: Adonai Elohim said to the serpent . . . “I will put animosity between you and the woman — between your seed and her seed. He will crush your head, and you will crush his heel” (Genesis 3:14,15 TLV).

Space constraints here do not permit me to delve deeply into the details of the imagery of Revelation 12 or the prophetic significance. What is clear is that the “serpent” of Genesis 3 is the “dragon” of Revelation 12 — in other words, Satan. It’s equally clear that the “male child” born to the “woman” is Yeshua. And the “woman” who gives birth to this child? That can only be God’s covenant People — Israel. Here is why I’m bringing this remarkable passage to your attention. It reveals that Satan actively tried to prevent the delivery of God’s gift of Messianic salvation to a broken, waiting world. And it shows that, having failed to prevent it, the devil nurses a special hatred within his hate-filled heart for the Jewish People. So the dragon became enraged against the woman . . .  This is the solution to the mystery of anti-Semitism. Many young people today may very well think that anti-Semitism is a fairly modern phenomenon — less than 100 years old, perhaps. They seem to have the impression that Hitler invented it in the 1930s or that the creation of the modern state of Israel in 1948 is really what is driving resentment and outright hatred of Jewish People today.

Sadly, the long, heart-breaking history of anti-Semitism in the world is largely unknown to most people today. They remain only vaguely aware — if at all — of the repeated oppressions, pogroms, massacres, and expulsions that Jewish People have faced wherever they’ve been scattered throughout the last two millennia. Nor do they understand that much of the violence in the Old Testament narrative is a reflection of the cosmic battle depicted so vividly later on in Revelation 12. Satan hates the Jewish People with a blinding hatred because the Jewish People are the vehicle divinely chosen and covenantally sealed by God to deliver the Messiah into the world . . . the One who would ultimately strip Satan of all his authority and secure his defeat. In other words, modern anti-Semitism has ancient roots. And those roots are spiritual. Today, as a prophetic indicator of the times in which we are living, we’re seeing a rise in open manifestations of this ancient hatred. Spray-painted swastikas are appearing with increasing frequency on synagogues and Jewish cemeteries around the world. People in traditional Jewish clothing — even the elderly — are being violently attacked in the streets. July/August/September 2015 | 5

European soccer players are making Nazi salutes as part of their goalscoring celebrations. Jewish children are being insulted, harassed, even assaulted as they walk to school. In Europe, the flow of Jewish humanity back to the Land of Promise is accelerating. Why? It is in part because the slumbering monster of anti-Semitism is re-awakening there once more. When the Simon Wiesenthal Center released its list of the Ten Worst Anti-Semitic Incidents of 2014, it stated: “The traditional trickle of Jews abandoning Europe for Israel has grown into a steady stream in the last few years. That stream is now becoming a flood.” Indeed, thousands of French Jews relocated to Israel in 2014 — the highest rate in over 25 years. And the pace has only accelerated in 2015: nearly as many from Ukraine have made Aliyah this year, as well. During last year’s conflict between Israel and Gaza (triggered by a mas-

sive wave of rocket attacks from Gaza aimed at Israeli civilians), a wave of anti-Jewish hate washed over Europe. For example, a stone-and-clubwielding anti-Semitic mob tried to force its way into a Paris synagogue while worshippers were gathered there. In Paris’ heavily Muslim suburbs, people were heard chanting “Slaughter the Jews” and “Death to the Jews.” Throughout the conflict, we witnessed a massive increase in people worldwide posting hateful messages to social media accompanied by the hashtag “#HitlerWasRight” or “#HitlerDidNothingWrong.” The levels of hatred and bile were truly astonishing — all because Israel was acting to defend herself. This is not just European phenomenon, however. Here in the U.S. and Canada, the Boycott, Divestment, and Sanctions movement (BDS) against Israel is prominent and gaining traction. Not coincidentally, anti-Semitic incidents on U.S. college campuses

have risen sharply. Yes, the cancer of anti-Semitism — often wearing a mask called “antiZionism” — is spreading throughout the world. Yes, it is rooted and animated by demonic forces. (Even some well-meaning Christians and Jews have been deceived about its origins.) Even so, here at Jewish Voice, we’re fighting this brand of deception with truth every day. It’s important work. We know the weapons of our warfare are mighty (see 2 Corinthians 10:4). And we know that light dispels darkness (see John 1:5). In other words, although the dragon is enraged, we know he is also defeated. King Yeshua is victorious. Revelation 12 makes that abundantly clear. At the same time, it exposes the ancient, spiritual roots of one of the modern world’s ugliest and most deadly ideologies — the hate known as anti-Semitism.

WHY SATAN HATES THE JEWS BOOKLET

Anti-Semitism is a fancy term to describe the ugly fact that some people hate Jewish People, simply because they are Jews. We see evidence of it in the news on a daily basis. We hear the tasteless, whispered jokes premised upon cultural clichés and stereotypes. We stumble across the profane innuendoes, smears, and slurs on Internet comment threads. The inescapable fact is, anti-Semitism is prevalent and ubiquitous. But it is not a recent phenomenon. It has been around for millennia. Indeed, it’s been called “the oldest hatred.” The question is, “why?” Rabbi Jonathan Bernis answers this question and explains the biblical history of when antiSemitism began and why there is still such hatred towards the Jewish People today.

Anti-Semitism is primarily spiritual. Some years ago, apostle, Bible teacher, and intercessor, the great Dr. Derek Prince had a conversation with a friend about anti-Semitism. It was not long after the Holocaust and the nation of Israel was recently established. His friend asserted that the establishment of the State of Israel would be the end of anti-Semitism. In his view, anti-Semitism was based on the fact that people are suspicious of those who live among them, but are not like them. The Jews are a unique people whose differences gave rise to suspicion, then fear, then conspiracy theories, and finally, rejection.

However, most people in different cultures are different from one another, but live within their own territory. The solution to anti-Semitism was for the Jewish People to have their own territory, their own state. Derek Prince responded. “If the problem of anti-Semitism is primarily sociological, you are correct. The State of Israel will solve this problem. But if the primary cause of anti-Semitism is spiritual, then the existence of the State of Israel will bring the greatest onslaught of anti-Semitism that the world has ever seen.” July/August/September 2015 | 7

ever known. It must re-conquer, or Islam itself is called into question. The rage over this shame leads to the grossest forms of anti-Semitism. Hitler’s works are published and eagerly devoured. The Jews are said to be the cause of all the troubles of the world. Recently, the anti-Semitic President of Turkey, Tayyip Erdogan, claimed that the despicable Jews have been causing the world’s troubles since the time of Moses.

Anti-Semitism is not rational but based in demonic inspiration, one that seeks to motivate people to thwart God’s plan for the redemption of the world. How could Derek Prince respond the way he did after the Holocaust? The world seemed repentant. Most Protestant Churches repudiated the theology that the Church had replaced Israel and that Israel was rejected. Now they declared the Jewish People to still be elect and chosen. In the 1960s, the Roman Catholic Church also repudiated replacement theology and declared the Jewish People as still the elect of God and a key to the redemption of the world. (New Catholic Catechism, para. 674). Anti-Semitism seemed a thing of the past, in decline. Indeed, both the United States and Russia agreed to vote for the establishment of the State of Israel. How did Derek Prince know that this would not last? He knew because he understood the demonic realm, the realm of spiritual warfare. The return of the Jewish People to the Land of Israel was a fulfillment of prophecy that prepared the way for Israel’s recognition of Yeshua and the redemption of the world. (See Romans 11:25–30.) This would mark the defeat of Satan and his kingdom! Therefore, the enemy of us all would give his greatest effort in all of history to destroy the Jewish People. For with this people is the key to his defeat. His key to effect this destruction would be the rise of militant Islam and the decline of the West into moral relativism and political correctness where solid moral judgments could no longer be made. Islam and the Spirit of Antichrist We should first note that Islam is a religion based in rejecting the truth of the incarnation of Yeshua, His deity, His crucifixion, and His resurrection. This is of the spirit of 8 | JewishVoiceToday.org • 1-888-921-4582

Antichrist. This is very clearly taught in 1 John 4:2–3. This anti-Yeshua confession in Islam, declaring that God has no Son, releases great demonic power. It is a stronger demonic power than, for example, the demonic power in Hinduism. The other world religions are not based in an explicit rejection of the Messianic Jewish/Christian confession of faith as is Islam.

The Doctrine of Dhimmi Status A few facts about Islam show how it can be a primary world thrust toward anti-Semitism. I want to note two doctrines of Islam that are important for our understanding. The first is the doctrine of the Dhimmi status for Jews and Christians. Historically, when Jews and Christians were allowed to live in Islamic societies, they lived as second-class citizens. They had to pay a special tax and did not have the full rights of Muslims in courts to testify and to engage in businesses with the same freedoms. Also, religious buildings were strictly limited. This status is called Dhimmi status. However, in addition, there were times of intense persecution and slaughter. Jews were described as pigs and subhuman. Hence the leader of the Palestinians during World War II supported Hitler. Islam’s second important doctrine is that whenever a territory is conquered by Islamic forces, it must always be Islamic or part of Dar Al Islam, the realm of Islamic rule. It can never revert. To allow a reversion, as happened in Spain, is a shame that can only be redeemed by reconquering. For the despised Jews to come into control of the Holy Land conquered by Islam in the 7th century is a horror and a shame. It has nothing to do with Palestinian rights or a twostate solution. For Islam, that is just a strategy to destroy Israel. It is all about honor and shame. The existence of the State of Israel is the greatest historic shame that Islam has

The Islamic Propaganda Machine Huge amounts of petro dollars have now been able to foster a level of world propaganda not seen since the days of the Soviet Union. The relativists of the radical left buy the propaganda. And the propaganda is spreading now to the larger culture as well. The demonization of Israel and the Jews is at full throttle. Israel does just enough wrong that there is ground for criticizing Israel. Many Messianic Jews are honest about this. However, the foolish radical left buy into the Islamic narrative that the Jewish People are a colonial imposition from the West foisted upon an indigenous people. Justice requires her elimination. Since the Holocaust was a basis for western sympathy in allowing Israel to come into existence, the Holocaust is denied while Muslims call for another holocaust! Our morally challenged relativists on the radical left, both in the culture at large and especially in the campuses of the Western world, are more incensed at Israel than at Syria and the killing of hundreds of thousands of innocents. Israel is more hated than the Boko Haram despite its slaughter of school children; Sudan in its slaughter of so many Christians and the people of Darfur; and the terror spon-

soring Iranians that have made Lebanon one of the saddest stories in the modern era are less despised than Israel. Of course, the same demonic powers that foster anti-Semitism are fostering the worst imaginable persecution of Christians! Morally challenged relativists cannot make judgments on the basis of balanced scales. They are totally askew. Many hate Christianity and treat Islam with much greater respect. The President of the United States treats Iran with greater respect than Israel and plans to lift sanctions and trust Iran with a nuclear program. So the world turns against Israel more and more. One cannot understand this unless we have recourse to the issue of the demonic and its power to inspire and motivate through hatred. The Western world, in its gross immorality and relativism, is open to the depths of demonic deception. We are in for rough sledding until the return of Yeshua, but we are also on the way to a glorious harvest in the midst of this persecution.

We are in for rough sledding until the return of Yeshua, but we are also on the way to a glorious harvest in the midst of this persecution.

nti-Semitism has been a fact of life for the Jewish community since the prime minister of ancient Persia promoted their genocide some 2,500 years ago with a line of reasoning that went like this: “There is a certain people . . . [whose] laws are different from those of all other people . . . they do not observe the king's laws, so it is not in the king's interest to let them remain” (Esther 3:8 NASB). Since that time, history has witnessed a systematic, unrelenting persecution of the Jewish People that has continued unabated into the new millennium. Despite the Holocaust of the twentieth century in which the depravity of man reached an unprecedented low with the systematic torture and slaughter of six million Jews, including over one million children, the world society today not only tolerates but also nurtures anti-Semitism.

CONFRONTING ANTI-SEMITISM A New and Practical Strategy By John D. Garr, Ph.D.

CHRISTIAN ANTI-SEMITISM? Sadly — and amazingly — one of the major agents of anti-Semitism for the past two millennia has been the Christian church. This is an almost inexplicable fact of history, a psychotic aberration in which the child (Christianity) has risen up in antipathy against the parent ( Judaism). Either by engaging in overt acts of persecution, murder, and mayhem against the Jewish People or by quietly condoning such violence against them by those who have claimed to be Christians, the church has robed itself for centuries in vestments stained with Jewish blood. Anti-Semitism in the Christian church began as Judaeophobia, a fear of Jews and things Jewish, that was inculcated into the earliest church by leaders who feared Jewish competition for converts. This Judaeophobia grew into the anti-Judaism that manifests most consistently in Christian supersessionism — the church’s claim that Christianity has replaced Judaism

as God’s religion and that Christians have replaced Jews as God’s Chosen People. In short order, this anti-Judaism escalated into the anti-Semitism that has been manifest in Christian hatred for and violence against the Jewish People for centuries. The fact that Judaeophobia, antiJudaism, and anti-Semitism still characterize much of the Christian church is testimony to the church’s ongoing ignorance of truths about Jews and Judaism. What Christians have received from their theologians and leaders is a caricature of Judaism and of the Jewish People. Lack of an accurate understanding of Jews and Judaism has been and continues to be the breeding ground for the church’s decidedly non-Christian attitudes toward Jews and Judaism.

CONFRONTING PREJUDICE It has been said that prejudice is being down on something you're not up on, and this could not be more obvious than in the church’s views regarding the Jewish People and their faith. For centuries, both ignorance and apathy have characterized the church’s relationship with Jews and Judaism. This sad truth underscores the importance of bringing education to bear on this problem, for it is education that leads people out of ignorance and prejudice (as the etymology of the word education implies). It is vital for the health of the Christian church that Christians be taught the fundamental historical and theological truth that Christian faith is inherently Jewish. Christianity is a religion that is based on faith in the God of the Jews (see Exodus 34:23). It was established by the Lord and Messiah who was a Jew (see Hebrews 7:14). It was based on the Bible, a Jewish book (the Tanakh). And its core message was that of salvation by grace through faith, a salvation that Jesus Himself said is “from the Jews”

(see John 4:22). Without Judaism, there would be no Christianity. Without Jews, there would be no Christians. Since the church has historically been such a profound and sustaining agent for the perpetuation of Judaeophobia, anti-Judaism, and anti-Semitism, it should be obvious that educating the Christian church about its own Hebraic foundations must be one of the greatest works that could be undertaken to combat anti-Semitism in world society. If Christians around the world would come to understand fully that their faith is inherently Jewish, it would become virtually impossible for them to hate Jews and Jewish things, for to do so would be to hate themselves and their own faith. (Sigmund Freud succinctly noted that “hatred for Judaism is at bottom hatred for Christianity.”)

CONFRONTING ANTI-SEMITISM The good news is that Christian scholars, church leaders, and lay persons around the world are now being mobilized to develop and sustain just such an educational process. The task represents a massive challenge, for it is directed toward a community that has been predisposed by more than 19 centuries of anti-Jewish tradition not to accept such concepts. The message is true, however, and ultimately “the wrong will fail, the right prevail,” with peace on earth to men of good will. Leaders in the Jewish community who are passionate about the sanctity of life — particularly Jewish life — must surely recognize that such an educational effort can be one of the most positive aids to combating antiSemitism in one of the largest people groups in the world, the Christian community. What if the entire Christian church could be enfranchised with a sense of ownership of the quest for Jewish well-being and the security of Israel? The implications are stagJuly/August/September 2015 | 11

gering. With millions of voices united in support of the right of Jews to exist as Jews with complete self-determination, free from any political, economic, social, or religious coercion, the tide of history can be altered. The screaming voices from other religious and secular groups that openly call for the genocide of the Jewish People could be drowned in open shouts from the Christian community: "Am Yisrael Chai!" (“The people of Israel live!”). The echoes of such declarations would reach to the heavens themselves, imploring the Divine for the peace of Jerusalem and the security of the international Jewish community. Idealism? To be sure. But, a simple pragmatism undergirds it!

EDUCATING CHRISTIANS Never underestimate the power of education. Never underestimate the passionate commitment of people who, after centuries of being robbed of their heritage, are once again reconnected with the roots of their faith, with the legacy of their earliest patriarchs. Rather than focusing our energies on excoriating the anti-Semites in “Christianity,” we should recognize and support men and women of conscience from both the Jewish and Christian communities who are researching Christian origins and are reconnecting Christians with the Hebraic foundations of their faith and with their Jewish brothers and sisters around the world. When they are fully educated in the foundations of their faith, Christians who have vacillated in their support of the Jewish community and the nation of Israel according to their changing emotions will become intellectually attached and infused with a sense of moral obligation to the cause of Jewish affirmation. Other Christians who have supported the Nation of Israel because of ulterior motives based in eschatological expectations or in conversion aspirations will come to realize that their inclusion in biblical faith as an engrafted part of God’s family tree of salvation (see Romans

11:17) gives them a vested interest in Jewish and Israeli survival, security, and development. All Christians can come to understand that because they “belong to the Messiah” (see Galatians 3:29), they are, in effect, naturalized citizens of Israel, “fellow citizens with the saints,” and children of Abraham and joint heirs of the promises of God (see Galatians 3:29 and Ephesians 3:6). As such, they not only have entitlements but also responsibilities to the people and the nation of Israel.

WINNING THE BATTLE This is where the real battle lies. Bigots, racists, and anti-Semites will always crawl from beneath their rocks, raise their ugly heads, spew their obscenities, and fill the air with their hateful venom. The ultimate success of the campaign to eradicate antiSemitism in the earth lies in mobilizing the silent masses of the Christian church who need only to rediscover the Jewish roots of their faith in order to understand and fully embrace their own Jewish connection, their clear association with the people and the land of the Book — the international Jewish community and the nation of Israel. Except as a means of exposing and challenging evil, standing toe-totoe and exchanging blows with antiSemites is an exercise in futility. Longterm effectiveness in this fight will be achieved only through education, for it is education that leads out of darkness, superstition, and ignorance. To eliminate one of history’s greatest oxymorons, “Christian anti-Semitism,” and to enlist one of the world’s largest people groups in solidarity behind Israel and the Jewish community is as simple as restoring to all Christians a clear understanding of the historical and theological Hebrew truth, the Jewish roots of their Christian faith. Dr. John D. Garr is founder and president of Hebraic Christian Global Community, an Atlanta, GA based organization that promotes the recovery of biblically Hebraic truth and the restoration of the Jewish roots of Christian faith.

PRAY FOR ISRAEL Psalm 122:6 says to Pray for the peace of Jerusalem: they shall prosper that love thee (KJV). In these challenging times, Israel needs friends, and we as Believers need to stand with God’s Chosen People. As we do, God promises to take care of our needs.

GOOD REPORT FROM OUR FRIENDS & PARTNERS We love to hear amazing stories from our partners of how God came through for them during their time of need. We hope these stories encourage you of God’s forever faithfulness, grace, and mercy. Michael attended our Mberengwa, Zimbabwe Medical Outreach in May 2015. I was standing guard at the back gate of the Medical Tent, looking at the endless line of ill and injured people waiting to be treated. As the sun bore down, I scanned the open field and immediately I saw three figures in the distance. As I moved toward them, I discovered a mom and two daughters. The older daughter looked to be about 15 years old and was lying in the dirt, gasping in pain. As the girl moaned, I bent over to see what was wrong, and immediately realized this child was about to deliver a child of her own! The girl’s mother locked eyes with me and begged, “Help my daughter!” With my heart thudding in my chest, I grabbed my walkie-talkie, called for backup, and with the help of the mother, lifted the girl off the ground and carried her to the back gate where two security guards met me with a wheelchair. Together, we pushed her over the stony ground to the front of the compound where, by God’s grace, a labor and delivery nurse was working. During the flurry of activity that followed, the girl’s mother grabbed my arm, pointed to my name badge, looked deeply into my eyes and said, “If the baby is a boy, we’ll name him after you.” As a Vietnam vet who’s seen it all on the battlefield and never gotten emotional, tears welled up in my eyes. I went back to my post, prayerful for this girl and her unborn baby. Two hours later, the girl’s mom ran back to me to share the news that God had brought a tiny, healthy baby girl into the world! Even though the child wouldn’t be named after me, I was thrilled! The next day, the new grandmother and her whole family sought me out and said, “We thought my daughter was going to die,” she said, wiping away tears. “We thought the baby would die, too. But you helped us.” Beaming, she announced, “We wish to bestow a great honor on you. We want you to name the baby!” I was so touched I could hardly speak. As I looked into the face of this newborn baby, I was immediately reminded of new life and hope in Yeshua. I took the newborn baby in my arms and silently prayed: “God, thank You for leading me out of my comfort zone to experience this amazing day of life . . .  I’ll never forget this as long as I live!” With this precious new life in my arms, I looked at this dear family and said: “I’ve always thought about how wonderful it would be to have a little girl, and to name her my favorite name, Sara.” The grandmother, reveling in her new role as matriarch said: “Michael, you helped save my daughter. You helped this baby arrive safe in this world, this is your new granddaughter. Her name is Sara!”

Swastika By Frieda E.Roos-Van Hessen

I

was born and raised in Amsterdam, Holland, of Jewish parents. They never talked about God, and I had never been in a synagogue except for my brother’s wedding. For me, Yom Kippur meant a day off from school, and today I know and believe that my father and mother themselves never knew what it meant . . . that they, like so many of us, were “seeing blind and hearing deaf ” as the Prophet Isaiah foretold. The only Jewish events that took place in our home were the Bar-Mitzvahs of my two brothers! However, we considered ourselves very Jewish. Entering into my teenage years, I had a Gentile boyfriend who was Catholic, though not a practicing one, and we often went to Catholic church together. I was always impressed by the paintings of the seven stations of the cru-

cifixion and moved by the sadness expressed in the face of Christ, as the artist perceived the magnitude of that event. Those were the teenage years of my existence, which were soon to become very eventful and tragic when I became a fugitive, running for my very life. The Lord had blessed me with a soprano singing voice, and after studying at the Amsterdam Conservatory and being still very young, I embarked on a career that led me to sing the Dutch version of Disney’s Snow White. I proceeded to the Grand Diploma in the Geneva, Switzerland World Contest, to the role of the Forestbird in Wagner’s Siegfried with the Bayreuth Festspiel Haus, a Command performance of Verdi’s Requiem for the Queen of Holland, many live broadcasts and concert performances, not to forget oratorios like Handel’s Messiah, and the many beautiful Christian cantatas by Bach in church performances. Then came the Second World War, ending my singing career abruptly, and forcing me to flee for my life. During the next five years, I lost all I ever had — my entire family, home, and belongings, and had to run from death and destruction never knowing what the next day would bring, whether I would live or not. I was immediately disqualified from all regular concert performances. The reason given was that I was Jewish, and it was therefore not worth reviewing “this soloist, after all the suffering brought upon us by the Jews.” The Germans allowed a temporary Jewish Theatre, so I became involved in performing with famous German Jewish refugee artists for the Jewish population. Meanwhile, the Nazis brought Jews that they had rounded up in “razziahs” for deportations to the infamous concentration camps to another theatre in the next block. Because of my involvement with the Jewish Council, we were allowed to minister to the thousands of deportees, and were guaranteed we would be the last ones to go. The deportation theatre had become a madhouse of anguish and filth, housing up to 9,000 people a night in a place built to seat 1,000. Sick people, old and young, were huddled together in fear of death, sleeping on lice-infested mattresses all over the floor, and children were screaming. There were only two toilet facilities. I finally contracted scabies all over my body, and lice, so much so, that when an opportunity did present itself for me to go into hiding, I could not because of my condition.

In the theatre, I had met a dancer whose sister, Henny, became my friend. Her husband had been arrested by the Gestapo, and we decided that I would stay in her house and help with her two small children. My former boyfriend, unbeknown to me, had become a Gestapo agent out of anger against my parents, who had forbidden our courtship because he was a Gentile. Not only did he try to destroy the Jewish People, but he sent the stormtroopers after me at Henny’s place. They came at night, shot through the house, but failed to find us. We hid in a heavy steel dumbwaiter. The stormtroopers left, planning to return in the morning. This afforded us a couple of hours to escape over the roofs of our four-story house and the neighboring buildings in the dark of night. Thus we entered an unknown world of escape, fear, hiding, and agony. For the next four years, we were hiding out in many places — towns and cities — and like a “dance macabre,” God put a hedge of angels around us each time our arrest seemed inevitable. The longest time we spent in one hideout was 212 days in one room, never going out except by crawling over the ground in the dark to be with my parents. They were hiding in the next house until they were betrayed for 25 guilders each by the woman who was hiding them. That was the price paid by the Nazis to anyone for information about Jews in hiding or Anti-Germans listening to English radio broadcasts about the progress of the Allied forces. I saw my dear parents rounded up and taken away with bayonets in their backs. They and my lovely younger brother, who was betrayed some time later, were all murdered in concentration camps. The only thing my brother Eddie had taken with him was his violin, which he had played professionally. He was forced to play it while our people were being tormented and gassed. After the war, I met a doctor who had survived, and who told me about how the Germans kept Eddie without any medication as he suffered from typhoid and starvation. May God help them! It takes the love of Jesus to enable us to overcome and to want to forgive; to say “Father, forgive them, for they know not what they do.” We forgive, He heals the wounds, but the scars remain. Space here does not allow the account for all that happened. I can only say that our God was in complete control and saw me through even when I was held prisoner after having been arrested with a bayonet in my own back. God was there; He set me free right out of the “lion’s den,” forcing them to let me go in a most miraculous way. When it seemed to us that our trials would never finish, finally the war came to an end. Suddenly, from all different directions, people started to talk to me about Jesus. Then, at last I contacted a pastor who sent, believe it or not, a German lady to me. God does have a way with things! She had married an Orthodox Jewish man, and lived a Jewish life for some 33 years. Her husband died suddenly, leaving her brokenhearted and grieving much. Then, to make a long story short, the Lord spoke to her and she was born again. For the next six weeks, I argued with her until she asked me to read Isaiah 53 and Psalm 22. Reading Isaiah 53, I did not understand a single word. Then, as promised, I started reading Psalm 22, and coming to the 16th verse where it says “they pierced my hands and my feet,” I let out one big yell, “Oh, my God, that is Jesus, because He was crucified!” I remembered all the Christian paintings I had seen years earlier in that church in Amsterdam. Suddenly, all of it made sense. I went back to the 53rd Chapter of Isaiah and now I understood each and every word. Hallelujah! The “scales fell off my eyes” instantly, and the first thing I said was, “It’s like coming out of a dark hole into the light,” at that point not knowing that Jesus is called “The Light of the World.” I was born again all alone in a room, by reading the Old Testament and Jesus revealing Himself to me there. Then when I read the Gospels, I understood even more. Since those earlier days, God has not only furthered my concert career in the “New World,” but enabled me to become a living testimony for Yeshua HaMashiach ( Jesus). Now, many years later, having been to Israel recently visiting the places where Yeshua walked and preached, the Word has become even more dear to me. Now it is no longer a dream, but my eyes have seen where He was, even as my spirit perceives how near He is. Amen.

God has called Frieda into different ministries, such as volunteering in a maximum security prison for 20 years as a counselor, and music director during church services in the prisons. She has conducted her own chapel services for years in one of the major nursing homes in Charlotte, North Carolina. Today she continues to serve the Lord, counseling and giving her personal testimony in the United States and abroad. In the fall of this year, she will be in Germany on a five-city speaking tour. Frieda was asked by Director Steven Spielberg to add her testimony of survival to the Shoah (Holocaust) Project, as well as the Holocaust Museum in Washington D.C. and Jerusalem, and was able to add into the permanent record her faith in Yeshua as Messiah.

WHAT Does the Bible

Say About Anti-Semitism? By Kevin Geoffrey

A

nti-Semitism is an ancient hatred of the Jewish People with traceable roots throughout Israel’s history, as recorded in the Scriptures. In the beginning, Israel was welcomed into Egypt as a mere tribe of 70 souls (see Exodus 1:5), but within a generation, the people multiplied to such an extent that the king of Egypt grew concerned with their numbers and enslaved them. They were worked ruthlessly, their lives made bitter with hard labor, and their newborn sons decreed to be killed (see Exodus

1:13–16). In this, the Scriptures say that the Egyptians were “in dread” or “loathing” of the people of Israel (see Exodus 1:12). Though ADONAI eventually delivered them and birthed Israel into a full-fledged, theocratic nation, this life of slavery and oppression would be the baseline to which all of Israel’s future blessing or punishment would be compared. Israel’s experience in Egypt also establishes an important Scriptural pattern: Israel’s condition is defined and affected by its relation-

ship with other nations. While Egypt’s feeling toward Israel is described only as “dread” or “loathing,” it is hatred of Israel — or anti-Semitism — that describes the sentiment of all of Israel’s future enemies. For example, in Leviticus 26:14–17 (cf. Psalm 106:41–43), it says: “‘But if you [Israel] do not obey Me and do not carry out all these commandments, if, instead, you . . .  break My covenant, I, in turn, will do this to you . . . I will set My face July/August/September 2015 | 19

In essence, ADONAI promised Israel that if she ever nullified her deliverance by breaking His covenant and not obeying His commands, He would return Israel to an oppressed, persecuted state, under an enemy that hates her. Does this mean that antiSemitism is caused by Israel’s disobedience? God forbid! It only means that Israel’s unfaithfulness to God makes her vulnerable to the forces of anti-Semitism, which already exists. But there is good news! According to Deuteronomy 30:1–10, ADONAI promised that when the Jewish People wholeheartedly return to God, all oppression and persecution against Israel will stop, and the curses against her will instead be turned on her haters! This concept is echoed in Isaiah 60:14–15, speaking of Jerusalem: “The sons of those who afflicted you will come bowing to you, and all those who despised you will bow themselves at the soles of your feet . . . Whereas you have been forsaken and hated with no one passing through, I will make you an everlasting pride, a joy from generation to generation” (NASB, emphasis added).

While we see anti-Semitism demonstrated repeatedly throughout the Hebrew Scriptures (consider also the book of Esther), an interesting excerpt from the book of Revelation may help put things into perspective. In Revelation 12, a woman with a crown of 12 stars is about to give birth to a son and is being stalked by the dragon. After she gives birth, the son is taken away to God and His throne, and the dragon (which is angry with her) pursues the woman. Failing to catch her, the dragon goes away to make war with the rest of the woman’s seed; spe-

cifically, those guarding the commands of God and having the testimony of Yeshua (see Revelation 14:12). According to Revelation 12:9, the dragon is “the serpent of old,” in fact, “HaSatan.” The son of the woman seems to be the Messiah Yeshua. Who, then, is the woman? Given the context, it appears that she is Israel (12 stars = 12 Tribes of Israel); therefore, it is HaSatan that is angrily pursuing Israel. What is even more fascinating are the ones whom the dragon is warring against: The children of Israel who both guard God’s commands and have Yeshua’s testimony — in other words, Messianic Jews, or Israel’s faithful remnant! What, then, can we take away from all this? First, born through no fault of her own, anti-Semitism is an ancient curse set against Israel that will one day be completely broken, due in part to Israel’s wholehearted return to God. Second, an attempt to thwart this return will be (or is already being) actively conducted by HaSatan himself; however, the key to Israel’s return — as well as the end to anti-Semitism — will be through salvation in the Messiah Yeshua of whom it was prophesied: “Blessed be the Lord God of Israel, For He has visited us and accomplished redemption for His people, And has raised up a horn of salvation for us In the house of David His servant — As He spoke by the mouth of His holy prophets from of old — Salvation FROM OUR ENEMIES, And FROM THE HAND OF ALL WHO HATE US . . . ” (Luke 1:68–71, quoting Psalm 106:10 NASB, emphasis added).

MY DAUGHTER MARRIED AN ARAB AND ALL IS WELL By Ray Comfort

I

’m Jewish, and my beautiful daughter married an Arab. And I couldn’t be more delighted. He loves Jesus Christ and is the most loving and hospitable man I know. I so respect him, that I joyfully promoted him to be the President of our ministry. If God can so closely knit the hearts of an Arab and a Jew, anything is possible in Christ . . . even for nations. I’m Jewish, and have had to argue many times for my Jewishness with those who think that it’s impossible to be both a Jew and a Christian. I’m Jewish, and I find that I have to regularly point out that Christianity is more biblical than modern Judaism. Many Jews I speak with have a mere culture/heritage rather than a life that is rooted in God’s Word. Some are even atheists. So to those Jews who want to distance Judaism from Christianity, I say that Jesus was Jewish, all the disciples were Jewish, and the first 8,000 Believers were Jewish. I tell them that Christianity comes from Israel, the land of the Jews, and that it has its roots in the Jewish Scriptures. Jesus said in John 4:22, “Salvation is of the Jews,” and the salvation that is offered to the Gentiles had its birth in Judaism — the religion of the Jews. In Hebrews 11, we are given a long list of Jews who were

saved because they had faith in the promised Jewish Messiah. Any Jew who looks at Isaiah 53 with an open heart will see Jesus as the Jewish Messiah, as did the Jew called Saul of Tarsus who penned most of the New Testament. His ministry was to the Jew first, before he directed himself towards the Gentiles. When I wrote Hitler, God, and the Bible, I spoke about how my Jewish ancestors were persecuted in Europe, fled to England, and then immigrated to New Zealand. That gave me license to speak openly about a sensitive subject — addressing the mystery as to why Hitler hated the Jews and had ruthlessly slaughtered so many. Some think his hatred came from having his paintings rejected by a mainly Jewish panel at an art school in Vienna. A couple of other theories say he may have been bitter because a Jewish prostitute gave him a sexually transmitted disease; or he was jealous because some of the Jews were able to make money while Germany was economically depressed. But these theories don’t make sense. Perhaps a man could become angry for any of those reasons and take his anger out on some Jewish person by murdering him. Or those theories could still make sense if he took a gun and murdered a family of six Jews, or a handful July/August/September 2015 | 21

against you so that you will be struck down before your enemies; and those who hate you will rule over you, and you will flee when no one is pursuing you (NASB, emphasis added).’”

HITLER, GOD, AND THE BIBLE BOOK

In Hitler, God, and the Bible, Ray Comfort exposes Adolf Hitler's theology and abuse of religion as a means to seize political power and ultimately instigate World War II and genocide. This fascinating book mines the depths of Hitler's beliefs and argues that without Hitler's misuse of Christianity the Third Reich would not have had its legendary rise, resulting in the deaths of more than six million Jews. Highlighting Hitler's youth, his influences, and his path to seducing a nation, Hitler, God, and the Bible is a fresh reminder of the power of the cross and how its misuse led to the Final Solution.

of Jewish coworkers. To kill 600 would be crazy; 6,000 would be insanely out of proportion. But Adolf Hitler killed six million Jews! As I researched for my book, I kept thinking that there had to be something more behind this. I believe I found an explanation that does makes sense. On April 26th, 1938, all Jews (except for the very poor), were forced by law to disclose their wealth. If Jews refused to reveal their wealth in detail, their property would be confiscated and they could get up to 10 years of hard labor in prison. No doubt there was compliance from millions of Jews across Germany. They were actually signing their own death warrant and that of their families. Every time Hitler killed a Jewish family, he seized their assets. He got their houses, their cars, their savings, their jewelry, their insurance policies, their paintings, their bonds, the gold out of their teeth, the clothes off their backs, and the hair from their heads. Hitler raked in billions of dollars from killing Jewish families, and when you kill an entire family, no one is left to complain! Experts now tell us that 30 percent of Hitler’s massive war machine was financed directly by Jewish blood. In the 1930s, Germany was deeply in debt. There was runaway inflation, and there was a 40 percent unemployment rate. They needed a savior, and Hitler stepped up to the plate. However, the explanation didn’t stop there. Hitler was merely a willing puppet for a more sinister enemy, who Jesus said came to “to kill, steal, and destroy” (see John 10:10). The Bible teaches that a spirit “works in the children of disobedience,” and this is never more evident than the spirit behind anti-Semitism (see Ephesians 2:2). It was human beings who were motivated by this spiritual realm that persecuted my ancestors, used Hitler against God’s people, and as the birth pangs of the Second Coming get closer, rising again through a demonically blood-thirsty religion. And that is just one more reason why you and I as Believers should let God’s love drive us to take the Gospel to our Jewish brethren, praying that He would open their blind eyes to the glorious Gospel promised in their scriptures. If you don’t know what it is that God uses to open blind Jewish eyes such as mine, listen to my message, Hell’s Best Kept Secret (www.HellsBestKeptSecret.com). WHY STAND WITH ISRAEL TODAY? By Jack W. Hayford

I

srael is a land about which God says — uniquely, prophetically, redemptively, and repeatedly in the Bible — “This is Mine.” God refers to Israel as He does to no other land on Earth. Israel was raised up to be a light to the Gentiles. The Church at its inception was virtually entirely Jewish, and it remained so until the Gospel began to spread. Ultimately the Gospel spread to Antioch — where the first Gentile congregation began — the base from which the Gospel spread into all the world. In the book of Romans, chapters 9 through 11, the Apostle Paul deals with the question of the Jews in God’s providence and purpose. These three chapters virtually stand alone, within the whole of the Bible, as an elaboration of the theology of God’s dealing with Jews. The Jews were the “firstfruit” . . . the “first people” (through Abraham) to understand a covenant God. They then relayed the riches of that truth to the world, and through their agency, the Messiah came into the world. The Word of God calls Jews the “root” and Gentiles the “branches.” We’re reminded that while because of unbelief, they were broken off and you stand by faith, we are not to become haughty but to fear: For if God did not spare the natural branches, He may not spare you either. When the fullness of the Gentiles is completed, all Israel will be saved (Romans 11:16–27).

WHY STAND WITH ISRAEL TODAY? We are living in a sobering moment in history that calls us, as Believers in Jesus Christ, to take a stand with Israel. We could be people of the last hour. We are not to be passive in the face of prophecy; we are called to pray with passion, to intercede, and to minister according to the words of the Savior who said it is not our task to speculate when the end will be. It is our responsibility to do Kingdom business until He comes (see Luke 19:13). This is not about politics, this is about the Word of God . . . but the political ramifications are extremely dramatic. Scripture declares there will come a time when all the nations of the world will turn against Israel. It is so highly conceivable this could happen in our time that it is critical to outline why we should stand with Israel today. EIGHT REASONS FOR STANDING WITH ISRAEL 1) Every Believer is charged to make the Jews a priority in their value system and to render thanksgiving from their hearts for God’s work via the Jews as a people. 3) God has made unique declarations regarding the land of Israel that have never been rescinded:

things that God said. It involves a people and a land. • Every Believer is charged to make Jews a priority in their value system because God has. • The Lord selected a people . . . He began by selecting a man named Abraham. The Lord said that through the seed of Abraham (in relation with his wife, Sarah, giving birth to the promised child, Isaac), all the nations of the Earth will be blessed . . . every human being having access to the divine blessing of Almighty God. • In Genesis 12:3, the Lord says in the covenant He makes with Abraham: I will bless those who bless you, and I will curse him who curses you; and in you all the families of the earth shall be blessed. ▶▶ This relates not only to a people (the Jews), but it also relates to a land (Israel). ▶▶ God will judge nations and deal with them for their decisions, just as He does individuals. • The Lord chose them for purposes: . . . who are Israelites, to whom pertain the adoption, the glory, the covenants, the giving of the law, the service of God, and the promises; of whom are the fathers and from whom, according to the flesh, Christ came, who is over all, the eternally blessed God. Amen (Romans 9:4–5). ▶▶ The Adoption: God’s divine choice of the seed of Abraham as a people. ▶▶ The Glory: The manifest presence of God revealing Himself. ▶▶ The Covenants: The commitments that God makes: The Abrahamic Covenant: God says, “I will give you a people and a land, and through this seed the nations of the Earth will be blessed” (see Genesis 17). The Mosaic Covenant: The revelation of the law, given as a teaching means to lead us to Christ: redemption through the blood of the Lamb. 24 | JewishVoiceToday.org • 1-888-921-4582

The New Covenant: In Jeremiah and Ezekiel, God says in words almost parallel: “For the time will come that I will take My law and I will make a new covenant with you, and I will put My Spirit within you.” (see Jeremiah 31 and Ezekiel 36). ▶▶ The Greatest Gift: The wonder of the gift of Jesus to mankind. God so loved that He gave His only begotten Son . . . He gave Him through the Jews, and He came as a Jew. Jesus Himself, speaking to the woman of Samaria, said, salvation is of the Jews (John 4:22). So Scripture speaks to us very clearly: we’re dealing with the roots of everything that has to do with the revelation of God to humankind. The proof of this is in the very existence of the Jews as a people and the fact that they’ve been recovered as a nation. Today the struggle is over Jerusalem, over Israel, and over the presence of Jews and their right to have a land. There are few nations willing to make an abiding commitment to stand by the Jews and Israel, but the Bible says God will honor those who do. 2) Our place in God’s present order inextricably links us with the Jews as a people and thereby the land of Israel according to the Word. When we put our faith in the Redeemer who came through the Jews, we enter into a line of those who have trusted God according to His revealed grace and redemptive purpose. • Scripture declares that, spiritually speaking, when you receive the Lord, you become a Jew (see Romans 2:28– 29; Galatians 3:26–29). • If you are a Believer, you cannot be consistent with the whole of Scripture and take a position that is passive toward the Jews and Israel.

• The land is the Lord’s land, and it is His to assign and dispose of: “The land shall not be sold permanently, for the land is Mine” (Leviticus 25:23). • “Rejoice, O Gentiles, with His people . . . He will provide atonement for His land and His people” (Deuteronomy 32:43). • God says if the people violate Me, I will uproot them from My land which I have given them (2 Chronicles 7:20). • Lord, You have been favorable to Your land; You have brought back the captivity of Jacob. You have forgiven the iniquity of Your people; You have covered all their sin (Psalm 85:1–2). • This land belongs to Father God and it is the land of His Messiah: and the stretching out of his wings will fill the breadth of Your land, O Immanuel (Isaiah 8:8). • The Lord tells the people why there will come the loss, the destruction of the city of Jerusalem. I brought you into a bountiful country . . . but when you entered, you defiled my land and made my heritage an abomination (Jeremiah 2:7). • God is speaking to people in the End Times who rise up against Israel. God is speaking of a confrontation that will take place in His land: You will come up against My people Israel . . . I will bring you against My land, so that the nations may know Me, when I am hallowed in you (Ezekiel 38:16). • Three times in this book, the land is referred to as belonging to the Lord. “For a nation has come up against My land” (Joel 1:6). “Then the Lord will be zealous for His land” (Joel 2:18). “I will gather all nations, and bring them down to the Valley of Jehoshaphat; and I will enter into judgment with them there on account of My people, My heritage Israel, Whom they have scattered among the nations; they have also divided up My land” (Joel 3:2). • This refers to the scattering of Israel: They shall not dwell in the Lord’s land, but Ephraim shall return to Egypt, and shall eat unclean things in Assyria (Hosea 9:3). • “The Lord their God will save them in that day, as the flock of His people, for they shall be like the jewels of a crown, lifted like a banner over His land” (Zechariah 9:16). When we talk about Israel, we are dealing with: 1.) A piece of property that God has made pronouncements about and 2.) God’s people to whom He’s given the land. It is a major issue with the Creator of all things, and it is nonnegotiable. Things that God has said, uniquely about Israel, have never been rescinded. • Not only does the land belong to God, but also God has committed the land to Abraham and his offspring via Isaac forever (see Genesis 17:7–8). • “With a little wrath I hid My face from you . . . but My kindness shall not depart from you, nor shall My covenant of

peace be removed” (Isaiah 54:8–10). • The loss of governance by Israel through sin and dispersion has not altered God’s announced commitment to make it theirs forever (see Ezekiel 37:1–28). 4) Israel’s present conflict is neither by their initiative nor perpetuated by expansionism or racism on their part. The general attitude of the world today regards the Palestinians as the underdog, but Israel is defending the land covenanted to them in 1917 and established by the United Nations Assembly in 1948. The Palestinian goal is not to secure a homeland but to drive Israel out altogether. For the sake of mounting public opinion against Israel, surrounding, well-resourced Arab nations have never offered refuge to the Palestinians. The majority of the world doesn’t know this, and nobody is bothering to tell them because sympathies are so overridden by other forces. 5) To stand with Israel is not to oppose Arab peoples as an entity or to oppose the rights of Arabs living in Israel to a peaceful, politically secure, and prosperous life. God has no disposition against any human being, certainly not Arabs who are the offspring of Ishmael, the other son of His chosen leader Abraham. Standing for Israel doesn’t require an anti-Arab stance and doesn’t require us to be loveless toward other peoples. 6) The relentless animosities of sectors of the Arab world are not merely political causes but are driven by spiritual powers that will not be satisfied until Israel ceases to exist. The forces opposed to Israel are not simply those of people who don’t like Jews. We are caught in the stream of spiritual forces greater than humanity, forces that cannot be overthrown politically or by the power of persuasion. These forces can only be broken by intercessory prayer where principalities and powers are cast down. 7) The same spirit driving these animosities is equally opposed to Christians as to Jews, and in time, will eventually bring persecution to both. Just as Scripture states, at the very end of time, there are two witnesses that will be put to death in Jerusalem (see Revelation 11). There have been two witnesses that have stood for God throughout history — the Jews and the Christians. The hostilities and animosities are just as leveled at Believers as they are at Israel, because there is a spirit in the world that is against all that is called God and everything about Him. things that God said. ▶ This relates not only to a people (the Jews), but it also relates to a land (Israel). ▶ God will judge nations and deal with them for their decisions, just as He does individuals. ▶ The Adoption: God’s divine choice of the seed of Abraham as a people. ▶ The Glory: The manifest presence of God revealing Himself. ▶ The Covenants: The commitments that God makes: The Abrahamic Covenant: God says, “I will give you a people and a land, and through this seed the nations of the Earth will be blessed” (see Genesis 17).

▶ The Greatest Gift: The wonder of the gift of Jesus to mankind.

• God as Creator — to Whom we owe our worship. • God as Judge — to Whom we owe our accountability. • God as Redeemer — Who has shown Himself through His Son, Jesus. • God as the moral Lawgiver of all humanity — to Whom we owe a responsibility in terms of our behavior. 8) A biblical assignment and a divine promise summon our stand in faith, our intercession with expectancy, and our support with promise. We are called to stand with Israel today because we could be people of the last hour. The Lord has called us to be people with moral and biblical conviction, walking wisely and knowing His Word. He will honor those who make an abiding commitment to stand with the land He’s called uniquely His (see Psalm 122:6).

ACTIONS YOU CAN TAKE TO “STAND UP FOR ISRAEL:“ 1) Equip yourself with reliable information, avoiding bigotry, and disallowing “blind spots.” Recognize the disposition of the popular press. Assess reports cautiously but not with paranoia. Become familiar with the basics of history in the Middle East and understand the past century.

that our Nation will govern in the light of Genesis 12:1– 3, “I will bless those who bless you.” 3) Prayerfully consider visiting Israel as a point of practical support. 4) Show friendship toward Jewish friends. Affirm that you, as a Believer, stand with Israel as a point of your Biblebased commitment to God. 5) While acknowledging the terrorist habits of radical Muslims, be gracious to others. Take action because it’s such a pivotally important time. Today, the showdown that we face is so close to being the nations of the earth against Israel and whoever is left that stands with them. The final issue will be, “Who is for Christ and His way and who isn’t?” The Lord has called us to be a people who will touch people and will stand with moral and biblical convictions for critical issues . . . and this is one.
