getting a sustainable vacation? by collaborating with Southern Otway Landcare Network(SOLN), an smartphone application is developed to help professionals and enviromentalists to obtain the information of wildlife or nature by taking photo with their smartphone. to fulfill travellers and photograhers need, keep the joy of having a enjoyable holiday while helping others as well with a finger click. initial problem

how do you define a sustainable vacation? less emissions less carbon footprint? less waste? these ways although may help to promote a sustainable vacation, but by doing this, we still create unnecessarily waste to destroy our nature slowly. what about we contribute while we are having a holiday, what about we help others as well during a vacation, what about we use our interest/hobby to help others as well as fulfilling our personal needs and interests? wildlife protection and education is one of the way to aid to sustainable vacation. due to our fast growing population, wildlife is losing their place or environment to survive, in order to help our next generation to get to know our nature, preserve, protect and education about wildlife and nature is important.

Southern Otway Landcare Network (SOLN) Who are they? is a voluntary, not for profit, community organisation with skilled staff, volunteers, over 400 members and the ability to make a difference. Based in Australia’s iconic Otway Ranges of Southern Victoria, SOLN plays a central role in the protection and restoration of biodiversity in a flagship region – of national, environmental significance. What do they do? Habitat Loss and Animal Extinction Climate Change restore and protect biodiversity

aim for a sustainable vacation? - find a group that care about the environment - fulfilling the needs and interests as well as helping each other - preserve and protect wild life to gift back to the nature - create less damage to the nature while having a holiday - help different type of people with common interest to obtain info and exchange

In 2040, smartphone and other electronic gadgets will be part of our daily life. These gadgets maybe used to enhance our travelling experience. While we are enjoying the sun on a relaxing lounge chair during the holiday, have you consider about the environmental impact while we are travelling? Have you consider for our next generation? Have you consider you can simply make changes by just clicking a button? When we travel, we create more wastes to the country or place that we are planning to stay in. The purpose of travelling is to relax, to experience and to explore. What if there is a chance for you to contribute to the community or the area at the same time you can enjoy your stays. There’s one way – Photo Wild.
