In a major city such as Jakarta, the progression of development is not necessarily equitable for some community institutions. The underdevelopment problems of traditional markets in this capital city, has become common problem in numbers of markets. The advancement of development and technology, integrated public transportation, and high mobility alter our lifestyle, but the market still has the potential to accommodate a fraction of the hustle and bustle of urban society. Revitalization of traditional markets is a way to open and revive economic activities and community relations. Integrating and innovating a neighbourhood market with the potential city environment, infrastructure, and municipal facilities will thus create a good sustainable development in the future.
