Model 1 As seen from the top view the model seems very simple, but as you observe the model, you will notice that the two rectangular shapes put together create various different textures. Each rectangular shape casts their own shadow onto each other . As you look around the model you will also notice that each side seems to have an opening, these openings are a representation of an invitation, inviting you into the model. My goal on this project was to play with two simple shapes and making them into an abstract piece.

Model 2

My main goal for this project was to create a regular box into an abstract structure. By taking away pieces from the box, I was able to create various openings . These openings helped me create different shapes of shadows when light hits it from above. By creating these openings, I was able to attract viewers to look into my main view points.

Model 3 For this model I had to create three view points. My first view point was located in the bottom. I chose this as my entry point because I wanted to create a space where it blocks nature but also allures it with two openings. My second view point was on the top where visitors can have a 360 degree view of the landscape. I chose to put my last view point inside the top square box where it provides shelter and a 180 degree view.

Model 4/5 When creating a skin cover for my skeleton model, I tried not to limit myself from creating literal plain walls. I chose to focus on the human anatomy. The cells caught my eye because cells interact with one another creating imaginary objects. By creating two skin covers, I was able to create various shadows representing the interaction of cells.

Reflections •

Management: I have trouble managing my time, this holds me from creating work to improve my learning skills as a designer. I will improve this by creating an agenda for the next 8 weeks.

I would like to think more abstractly , than limiting myself from literal ideas.

Improve my vocabulary for architecture.

Sharing ideas with my colleagues in class to help me improve or inspire me with broader ideas about the way I should design.

I would like to speak more in classroom meetings. I tend to hold myself back from participatin and never get to share ideas I have in mind.
