Mission Statement The Annual Fund Supports the Growth of Every Student at
Sheridan.
Sheridan School’s mission is to create an inclusive, vibrant learning community. We take joy in learning, show kindness and empathy towards others, embrace new experiences and ideas, and continually seek a deeper and fuller understanding of the world. We seek to inspire self-knowledge, intellectual discipline and personal integrity in our community members. At both our city and mountain campuses, the Sheridan community challenges itself to live the ideal of respect for oneself, others and the environment.
The Sheridan Community
Together We Grow
Each day at Sheridan brings new growth. From welcoming a new kindergarten class on the first day of school to celebrating the accomplishments of the eighth grade class at graduation, every day our students experience the benefits of our devoted faculty and the Responsive Classroom curriculum. The Sheridan Annual Fund helps to make these experiences possible, providing essential resources for our students, and ensures that Sheridan continues to grow and thrive. Every year, the Sheridan Annual Fund enables us to meet our budget requirements.
Creating an inclusive, vibrant learning community…
As an independent school, tuition alone does not cover the cost of a Sheridan education. Tuition only covers 79% of the cost to send a child to Sheridan. The Annual Fund helps to bridge the gap between tuition and the actual cost of a Sheridan education.
By keeping tuition increases at a minimum, the Annual Fund allows for more families to be able to attend our wonderful school.
The Annual Fund supports our students by providing competitive salaries and professional development opportunities for our dedicated and highly-trained faculty and staff as well as needed classroom supplies.
Providing opportunities for every child to flourish and thrive…
Every year, someone asks, “If Sheridan needs additional funds, why not just raise tuition?”
Growing Together: Annual Fund
The Annual Fund helps every student grow by providing curriculum opportunities that make Sheridan unique: co-teaching model, weekly Music and Arts electives, Instrumental Music program, and outdoor education programs.
Sheridan is committed to attracting an inclusive and diverse learning community. Believing that a diverse student body and faculty add quality to everyone’s learning experience, we must keep tuition as affordable as possible for as many families as possible.
