PHASE 1: STRATEGIC PLANNING

Elemental Interactive creates a Project Plan for client approval detailing project objectives, as well as client, audience and project-specific requirements. Elemental Interactive also prepares a Task-Based Timeline and a Client Extranet for project deployment and

Define goals, project scope and target audience. Hold project team Kick-off Meeting. Gather data and conduct research, which may include focus groups, individual interviews and competitive analysis.

Maintenance (optional) Update content and/or functionality based on client needs.

Approval of Content Outline and/or Functional Specifications

CONTENT OUTLINE & FUNCTIONAL SPECIFICATIONS Finalize the content requirements (copy, graphics, photographs, illustrations, audio, video, etc.) and associated information for each asset (media type, source and review/approval status). Also finalize the Functional Specifications, which describe technology details.

2. CREATIVE STRATEGY

Elemental Interactive applies the approved Creative Concept to remaining Web pages or project components and follows the Content Outline and Functional Specifications for integration and development. Project components are presented to the client for review and feedback throughout this process.

When applicable, brainstorm to generate “the Big Idea,” a creative strategy consistent with corporate goals and objectives and document in a Creative Brief.

2. FINAL PROJECT DELIVERY Client reviews project and provides final approval. Once approved, migrate project to “staging” environment, then to live hosting environment.

2. CREATIVE CONCEPTS Design Creative Concepts covering a range of visual aesthetics and user interface designs for the graphic and content execution of the site. Acquire all existing content assets at this stage and begin development of new content.

3. TASK-BASED TIMELINE & PROJECT PLAN Detail all tasks, milestones and associated time durations. Develop Project Plan, capturing high-level information including goals, client and target audience objectives, purpose, scope, Content Outline, initial Functional Specifications and technical requirements.

1. INFORMATION ARCHITECTURE Draft the organization and hierarchy of all information in the form of a schematic flow chart.

PHASE 2: CREATIVE DEVELOPMENT

CLIENT REVIEW: Client Approval of Project Plan

Elemental Interactive develops the framework for the project’s production, consisting of Information Architecture, Creative Concepts (user interface), and finalized Content Outline and Functional Specifications.

1. TESTING Assess project functionality and usability in addition to content accuracy.

PHASE 4: TESTING & DELIVERY Elemental Interactive tests the project’s functionality and compares client-provided inputs to developed content for accuracy. Implement revisions to content and/or functionality based on client and quality assurance tester feedback.
