But nothing will get you parties faster than a personal phone call! Schedule an hour each day to call 10 of the people on your Who Do You Know List. Telling them about your new business and the benefits of hosting a party will help keep your calendar full—and your bank account happy!

Knowing what to say is half the battle. Use the points below to make sure you cover all the bases. WHAT TO COVER IN EACH BOOKING CALL You have a lot to offer—an opportunity for a fun night with her friends! She’ll receive free Pure Romance gifts just for having the party. Pure Romance has the highest quality lotions, lingerie, and relationship-enhancement products. Pure Romance provides a comfortable environment for women to learn about intimacy products, and ordering is done in private so all guests can feel comfortable asking questions and choosing products. Your guests will get to take home many of their products the night of the party; even if you have to ship to them, they’ll receive their orders within two weeks!

Now that you have a few parties booked, your next move is to party plan with the hostess on how to have the best party possible. Successful party planning can mean the difference between a $200 party and a $1,000 party—the more excited your hostess is, the more excited her guests are, and the more profitable the party will be for both of you!

> HELP HER EARN Since your hostess has probably never held a party before, you’ll need to provide tips to help her earn as much free product as possible. Do this through phone calls— you should make at least three calls to the hostess before her party to ensure a successful night.

FIRST C ALL One or two days after she books her party Share with her how excited you are to have her as your hostess. Ask why she booked—free products? special occasion?— so you can make sure she gets what she wants out of the party. Let her know about hostess rewards—she will get a free gift just for having the party, plus 10% of the party sales to use toward her favorite Pure Romance products.

Explain that at least 10 women is the average for a party. Ask her to over-invite to make up for those who can’t attend. (Remind her that all guests must be females over the age of 18. No men or children allowed.) Tell her about preorders—those unable to attend can place catalog orders that will count toward her party total. Schedule a time and date for the next phone call.


SECOND C ALL Two or three weeks before her party Ask about attendance. If it’s low, offer her the Who Do You Know List to help her think of people she might be forgetting.

Remind her to tell guests no kids are allowed so they can arrange for baby sitters if needed. Mention that you will need a table to display the products for your presentation and a separate room for private ordering.

Suggest she keep refreshments light and save most until the end. This will keep guests busy as they wait for their turn in the shopping room.

Let her know again how much fun it is going to be!

Ask about preorders—does she need more catalogs or order forms?

Ask if she has any other questions for you. Let her know you will call her the week of her party to firm up the details.

THIRD C ALL The week of the party Thank her again and tell her how excited you are and how much fun it will be!

Let her know what time you will be arriving to set up.

Review attendance with her one last time. Ask her to call each woman coming to encourage her to bring a friend or two with her to the party.

Confirm directions with her—don’t rely on the internet or GPS only. Remind her that you’ll need a table for the presentation and a private shopping room.

Ask how preorders are coming along. Ask if she knows anyone who is interested in booking a party or becoming a Consultant. Make a note of those names.

Get her excited for a fun—and muchdeserved!—ladies’ night!

Ask which guest she is most excited to see. This will help fuel her excitement!

THE PARTY’S OVER …

now what? You’re headed home from your first party. Your inventory totes are empty, and your wallet is full. You’re so excited, you feel like doing backflips! After you get home, it’s time to close the party. WHAT TO DO AFTER EACH PART Y PROCESS YOUR PAYMENTS Take all cash and checks directly to the bank and deposit into the account you’ve set up for your business. All of the credit card payments that you received at the party can be processed through the Consultant Online Office. RESTOCK YOUR INVENTORY Place an order to replace what you sold. Make sure to order open order products so you can send them out to the people who purchased them— and pick up more of that product so you’ll have it in stock next time! Do this, and eventually you’ll build inventory and reduce open orders.

SHIP ALL OPEN ORDERS When you place an order with Pure Romance, you’ll receive it within five business days. Prepare your shipping boxes and envelopes so that when you receive the order, you can ship open order products immediately. Remember to tell customers that it will take two weeks to receive their orders; if you get products to them sooner, it’s a bonus!

FOLLOW UP WITH GUESTS Follow-up is key to creating lifelong customers. Take time to make phone calls and send thank-you cards to the hostess and guests who attended the party. Each small effort you make to improve customer care will be repaid with repeat business.


k Quic Tip ABOUT OPEN ORDERS When a customer orders a product you don’t have in your inventory, that’s called an open order. It’s essential to place an order with Pure Romance right away so your customer gets her product within two weeks of the party date.

Through the Patty Brisben Foundation for Women’s Sexual Health, Pure Romance’s education programs, and our partnership with Indiana University’s Center for Sexual Health Promotion, Pure Romance is dedicated to providing women with the best sexual health education so they can feel and be their best. THE PATTY BRISBEN FOUNDATION FOR WOMEN’S SEXUAL HEALTH When Patty Brisben realized the lack of information available to healthcare providers and their patients regarding sexual health, she founded this 501(c)(3) non-profit organization. Its mission: to enhance women’s sexual health and well-being through research and education. To date, the foundation has raised over $2,000,000 for important research surrounding: Vulvovaginal pain disorders Sexual health issues related to menopause Intimacy-related issues after cancer therapy Libido and sexual desire issues
