Summer 2019 The British Summer hit us with sun, wind, rain and almost every weather condition out there in 2019. Robin & Ben were able to get out and see you though, come rain or shine!
Robin June As we cast our minds back to the start of the Summer, things were just heating up for ABACUS on the road. Ben had three brand new tyres put on, ready to hit the road and see you all. Whilst Robin took a holiday early in the month, Ben travelled all round the country, visiting the Jurassic coast in Dorset all the way up to Manchester to join Dean Mardy & Bill Broom of Blink IS and their Ale trail. Later in the month, Robin was lucky to be able to hold a meeting in the Lloyds building one day, followed by trips to Birmingham, Taunton and Swindon.
The Ale was Real Ben joined Bill Broom & Dean Mardy of Blink IS for what was a superb day in the North West on the brilliant Blink event, the Real Ale Trail. The trail takes you across the Pennines, from Batley to Huddersfield to Stalybridge, and they had many laughs along the way. Great memories were made from the day, and a few had sore heads the following morning!

July July came, and we didn’t rest drinking our Pimms & watching Wimbledon for the month. We were able to get in to see 54 of you this month, ranging from all manner of places across the country, Robin in Crewe, Cardiff, Colchester & Cheltenham, Ben travelling to Barnsley, Peterborough, Romford & Aldershot.
Guns at the Ready
We were delighted to be joined by some of you at the wonderful Cloudisde Shooting Grounds in Congleton. A superb setting for a great day’s shooting, the grounds were in impeccable condition. The setting was nearly matched by some sharp shooting on the day, with Tim Walker of Ashwood Law not missing a clay all day!
Cricket Feast
Robin was glad to be joined by some brokers in sunny Cheltenham for a boiling hot day at the Cricket festival. A great day, an idyllic setting and a few beverages were had by all!
Fire Up the Barbecue!
In amongst a busy July, the company hosted our annual staff Summer BBQ, an event that had it all. Good food, immaculate gazebos, and as much as you could drink, The weather held fine for a cracking day. Ben & Barry got the memo on the BBQ Uniform!

August Before holiday in the latter part of the month, Ben found himself in Birmingham and the surrounding West Midlands areas. Robin however, chose plane as a mode of transport, flying up to Scotland to visit some of our fantastic Scottish brokers.
London Lunches
Robin & Richard were delighted to host Barry Pimlott & John Wright of BP Insurance for a spot of lunch at the wonderful Langan’s Brasserie in Mayfair, London. The wine and conversation were flowing, and the venue steeped in history for what was a fine afternoon.
