It has certainly been a different spring this year, and this edition is very different also. The car has been put in the garage for the time being, as we are working remotely.
Robin March If you can cast your minds back prior to the Lockdown period, March did see ABACUS out and about on the road for a couple of weeks. Robin was able to visit the island of Anglesey, as well as Northern English highlights; Blackpool, Preston, Manchester and Sheffield.
Remote life
The second half of March saw Agency & Marketing getting accustomed to working remotely. We were busy making call outs to many of you, ensuring we kept you up to date with the goings on at ABACUS in the changing times at the start of the Lockdown period. Robin, Jecelda & Barbara were still able to hold team meetings – but these looked a bit different in this changing world, and occurred over video link.

April Our first full month of remote working and the contact levels sky rocketed! The Agency & Marketing team contacted in excess of 1,000 of you this month, as we endeavoured to keep you all fully up to speed with the latest developments at ABACUS in the Lockdown period.
Visits of a Different Kind April this year saw the continuation of our review and development visits. However, we have not been driving up and down the country, but have been holding video meetings via the likes of Zoom & Microsoft Teams. The video meetings have been superb so far, and have been a welcome opportunity to see a friendly face in the current climate.

May During this month, in which we celebrated VE Day, the video review meetings were in full swing and we were able to hold 54 video visits with you! The response we have had to seeing you and holding meetings with you has been fantastic, and it is such a pleasure to see so many familiar and happy faces at this time. We look forward to continuing to to meet with you virtually as we go into the summer months.
Quizzically Challenged Throughout the Lockdown, ABACUS have held staff Quiz nights via Zoom every fortnight. They have been a roaring success with staff, as it has been a perfect opportunity to see everyone as we continue to be predominantly working remotely. Compered by Robin Gentle, the quiz questions have ranged from chemical element symbols to famous art works to staff baby photos!
