PUBLIC SPACES INTERVENTION

SEMESTER III, PRINCESS STREET, MUMBAI.

This Project In Architectural Design Semester 3 Focused On Studying The Streets Of Bombay, The Nature Of The Users And The Residents. The Following Project Is A Public Toilet Designed On Princess Street, Bombay, 02. To Avoid The Pedestrians Traffic And Maintain The Sanity Of The Place While Providing The Street Its Very Own Public Interaction Space. 03

ART BIENNALLE

SEMESTER V, FONTAINHAS, GOA.

This Project In Architectural Design Semester 5, Was More About Studying The Local Streets, The People, The Portuguese Architecture Of Fontainhas, Goa. The Art Biennale Is Designed To Enact The Narrow Alleys Of Fontainhas And Providing Free Flowing Pathways Throughout. The Art Gallery Is Structured To Have A Direct Visual Connection To The Fontainhas That Lies Next To The River Which Helps Reflecting The Inspiring Artwork. The Transits Are Aligned To Spaces With Their Respective Requirements And Functionalities That Allow Intimate Spaces In The Inner Radius Of The Structure. 05

1. Circular Programme: For 360 View.

2. Pushing Down: Pushing The Volume To Meet The Ground Giving The 4 Peaks.

3. Seperate Volumes : By Rotation Of Each Peak The Site Becomes Per meable And FreeStanding Buildings Are Created.

5.Individual Adjustment: Each Building Is Adjusted According To Programmatic And Contextual Requirements.

6. Views: Fontainhas Mangroves

8. Accessible Roofs: Direct A c c e s s To T h e R o o f s Through The Created Pathways To Cafeteria.

9. Central Plaza And Recreation Spaces.

4. Extension: The Buildings Are Extended To Each Other Creating Intimate Street Environments In Between The Volumes.

7. Landscaping: By Making The Roofs Accessible Towards The Central Plaza And Other Spaces The Interior Spaces Differ From The Exterior.

10. Construction Modules: The Geometry Of The Building Consists Of Four D i f f e r e n t Ty p e s O f Modules Based On The Requirements.

MUSIC INSTITUTE SEMESTER VI. JVLR , MUMBAI.

This Project In Architectural Design Semester VI, ‘Jagjit Singh Memorial Music Institute’ Can Be Defined As A Modern Building Sensible To Its Physical Context Of Great Historical Value. Due Not Only Because Its Location Within The City But Mainly Because The Nature Of Its Program Is Public, It Is Conceived With The Potential To Revitalize The History Of Music In Bollywood. The Building Comprises Of Music Oriented Spaces And Are Divided According To The Function Of The Spaces Into Open, Semi-Private and Private. The Spatial Quality Of Indoors And Outdoors Like The Composition And The Architectural and Traditional Relationship Are Essential Premises For The Design Of The Jagjit Singh Memorial Music Institute. 07
