Message from the Organizers Mastermind Connect is thrilled to host this year’s Healthy NYC Expo at Governors Island! It is our goal to introduce the love for the outdoors to those children and families who might not have the opportunity to experience it very often. The second part of the event is an overnight camping experience called “Camping to Connect.” Mastermind Connect members will get to bond with forty young men from the most underserved neighborhoods in New York City. These kids are all part of the “Urban Ambassadors”program of the New York City Department of Education. Our organization works with them throughout the year doing panels, workshops, and peer mentoring. I’d like to send a special thank you to all of the Mastermind Connect members for making this possible, and to JIG Media for providing the Healthy NYC platform as a way to uplift our communities.
