Independence Stigmatization Fear Of Being A Burden

INSIGHTS 4 WHEELED WALKER +Mobility +Seating - Cost

2 WHEELED WALKER +Most Popular +Does not require lifting - Terrain

Poor posture can result from improper height adjustment or percieving the need for a wider base

NON-WHEELED WALKER +Stability +Can be Used on Stairs - Requires lifting

Proper use requires the user to stand inside the walker as it is used

Applied gyroscopic technology provides a stable yet mobile framework to enable the mobility impaired

-BULK-

-MOBILITY-

-RECOVERY-

How can a piece of streamlined equipment minimize the frequency and intensity of ankle injury and communicate information about recovery?

2 Million

Athletes prefer tape over braces for ankle support, comfort, and stability

Ankle injuries per year make it the most common sports injury in the United States

Ankle mobility is essential for proper knee alignment and impact absorption

Long term brace usage can cause muscle imbalance and weakness

SCOPE

The success of the Skye basket and the simplicity of the design made it an ideal candidate for the WWU IDSA student chapter fundraiser. The project increased vastly in scale, with the fundraising efforts supporting the student trip to San Francisco in the spring.
