CLASS OF
2021
Letter to the Senior Class from Coach Carlson To the graduating class of 2021 from the Eagan Wildcats Boys’ Hockey program… This first year as a Varsity Head Coach at Eagan High School has definitely been a memorable one for all sorts of reasons but through it all you have supported myself and the other coaches, your teammates and this program. Victor, I want to begin by thanking you Victor for your dedication and commitment to the Eagan Hockey program and all that you brought to us as coaches and all of your teammates. Your resiliency and determination to overcome adversity is unmatched. It has been amazing to watch your growth as a goaltender over the past 3 years and your passion for the game shows with the emotion you bring to the team and making the most of each and every moment. I wish you nothing but the best in your future…you’ve worked so hard and deserve it! Graeme, first watching you on the ice as an 8th grader when you were trying out for Bantams, your athleticism in the net and high compete level were obvious. From coming into the Eagan program at that time, you have worked so hard and are so deserving of the opportunities you have had this year and will continue to have as I hope you continue to develop at the next level. What has shown up so much during your High School career is your willingness to take on whatever role that was needed and have been such a great teammate to all of those around you. Roll Cats!! Nick, having watched you as a player from STP sessions in the summer while you were part of the Eagan Youth programs to now writing a message to you as you get ready to graduate and move on from EHS, I can’t believe how quickly the time has gone by and how thankful I am that I have had the opportunity to watch you grow not only as a hockey players but also into the young man you are today. Your passion for the game and willingness to develop in your roles makes it a joy for me as a coach to have you in this program. Never lose that passion and make sure to bring it to all that you do in your future! Best wishes and always remember how big your H.E.A.R.T. is for others! Anthony, the energy that you bring to the locker room and rink is infectious and your work ethic and relentless pursuit to get better every day made such a difference in our program. You were willing to show others how hard we needed to work and that energy you brought to every shift.
You take on adversity as not only a challenge in life but also an opportunity to grow and show all you are capable of. It has also been apparent your care and compassion to others and wanting to help those around you. As you move forward from EHS and the Boys’ Hockey program, never lose that dedication and commitment with your work ethic and continue to bring that smile wherever you may go. Sam, you have dedicated yourself to always improving and accepting any role that was given to you without any complaints but instead a team first mentality to make those around you better. You are someone who has an obvious love for the game and are truly a player that plays with that enthusiasm and purpose. Watching you skate up and down the rink, the smile on your face just further demonstrates that love and I know you will continue to bring that passion to your future travels on the journey of life! I just want to thank you so much for what you were able to bring to this program and for leaving such a positive mark on those around you. Best wishes to the ultimate shot blocker! Jack, you are a young man of strong character who is willing to sacrifice his own glory or accomplishments to make better the players and people around you. You have worked so hard to get here and I am so thankful to have been able to work with you the past 3 years through our program. Any challenge that has been given you have taken on with all that you have and that drive will pay off for you as you graduate from EHS this spring. Continue to be the dedicated and compassionate person you are today and realize the difference you have made to others. And to our Varsity managers, Abby, Amelia and Mallory, thank you for your commitment and dedication to the program over the past years and know how valuable the work and support you were able to bring each and every day is greatly appreciated and I thank you for all that you did! Thank you for being such a special group and the legacy you have left in OUR program! I wish all of you nothing but the best for your futures and remember, Once A Wildcat, Always A Wildcat!
