Maxim, I still remember meeting with you after Training Camp during your 9th grade season, when you learned you had made the Junior Varsity team and the smile on your face knowing how hard you had worked to get to that moment. Over the past 4 years you have dealt with injuries and adversity, but have never wavered with your love and passion for the game. You have given your HEART and soul to this team, and I feel fortunate to have worked with a student-athlete like yourself. Alex, as a Coach one of the most rewarding aspects of my job is when faculty, members of the community, or even opposing coaches share with me how impressed they are by one of my players both on and off the ice. The numerous moments when this has occurred when discussing you, demonstrates your dynamic leadership and compassion you have for others. Leighton, from your first game in our program as a 10th grader playing at New Prague, you continued to impress me and our coaching staff with your hard work and relentless pursuit of making the most of your talents. You have had to work through numerous injuries and even through the frustrations of having to watch, you always focused on what you could do to help. Even though you may not have been a vocal leader for our team, there was no doubt that your teammates were able to feed off of how you were playing, and this work ethic will always motivate those around you. Rowen, coaching you has reminded me what the game of hockey is all about…go as hard as you can for yourself and your teammates, take on whatever role you are given to the best of your ability, and play the game because you love it, never taking a moment for granted. When you were finally able to try out for the program in January of your 10th grade year after the injury you sustained in football, you brought this drive to the ice and have never let up. You have continued to impress me with your growth and improvement, and became such an important part of this team. Be relentless in pursuit of your goals, and always continue to believe in all you can accomplish!

Parker, all along your size has been one of your biggest assets, but what has really shown up through this season is the size of your HEART, and willingness to do whatever the team needed from you. You took pride in however you were helping the team, understanding that team success is based on everyone pushing one another to be their best in their roles. The memorable goal in OT against Eastview last year was obviously a highlight, but how you carried yourself with the team in the locker room, the bench or on the ice, is what I will remember from my 3 years with you. Tryg, your success story in the Eagan High School Hockey program is one of taking on a challenge and pushing yourself to a whole new level. Coming back for your 11th grade season, you continued to develop your game working as hard as possible to become a solid goalie for us, making one amazing save after another. What also stands out is the relationship you developed with Gabe, and how unselfish you were in your role supporting him and your teammates throughout the season.
