Why is it that so many people return to cruising year after year? It could be the service you get from an internationally-trained staff whose duty it is to see that you feel pampered every minute of your cruise. Or it could be the famous gourmet food that is served to you from the moment you open your eyes in the morning to the midnight buffet late that night. It could be for all the fun and exciting things you get to do on board - like games, contests, shows, discos, sports, spas, pools, classes and more. Or, it could be for the fabulous ports of call you get to visit, like Nassau or Freeport in the Bahamas, Key West at the tip of the Florida Keys, Mexico’s Caribbean resort towns like Cozumel, or other beautiful and romantic spots in the tropics. IMPORTANT INFORMATION FOR ALL TRAVELERS DOCUMENTATION All travelers to the Bahamas must bring proof of citizenship. 1) If you are a US-born citizen, you must present either a valid US passport or an original birth certificate and a photo ID, such as a driver’s license. If you do not have your original birth certificate, you may present a certified copy with a raised seal. 2) If you are a naturalized US citizen, you must present either a valid US passport or your original naturalization papers and a photo ID, such as a driver’s license. 3) If you are a resident alien living in the US, you must present proof of citizenship (i.e., a valid passport from the country in which you hold citizenship) and your Alien Resident Card (“green card”). 4) All other nationalities should check with your own or the Bahamian consulate for required documentation. 5) Those living in the US on a student visa may not leave and re-enter the US on a student visa. A separate re-entry, or multiple entry, visa must be obtained. Failure to be in possession of the required documentation will result in your being denied boarding/entry into the Bahamas, and/or re-entry into the United States. It is the sole responsibility of the traveler to provide correct documentation. CHILDREN TRAVELING OUTSIDE THE U.S: If you are traveling with children, you must have proper documentation for them, too. If they do not have passports, you must bring their original birth certificates, or certified copies of their birth certificates. A photo ID is not required for children under 18. Additionally, if you are traveling with a child whose last name differs from your own, you must present evidence that you are permitted to take that child out of the country.
