Modular Wall Basics
Parts that start, connect and complete the Trainor Modular Walls system.
1) Install a Ceiling Runner (V2110) Ceiling Runners are also used in free-standing, open ceiling applications.
Foam tape at the top of the Ceiling Runner adds acoustic and visual privacy.
A grid clip is available to straddle the ceiling grid, allowing for non-invasive installation.
2) Plumb down to install the Floor Runner (V2120)
Carpet teeth allow for secure installation on top of finished carpeted flooring.
Narrow Floor Runner (V2122) used with 4” Aluminum Base Trim.
3) Wall Starts are put in place and connected to the Ceiling Runner
Wall Start (V2310) used with gypsum board panels.
18
Trueable Wall Start (V2311) used with Aluminum frame panels, adjustable between 1” and 13/8“.
Trueable Deep Wall Start (V2312) used with Aluminum frame panels, adjustable between 3 7/8” and 5 1/8“.
4) Panels are Installed The tops of the panels slide into the Ceiling Runner, then the panel is lifted into the Floor Runner. Aluminum framed panels can be adjusted with the bolt at the base of the panel. Gypsum Panels can be cut on site. Section View

Wallstrips The integrated Wallstrip Connector is carefully engineered to simulate the same configuration in the respective furniture panel system. This allows complete confidence in component support! Double Groove Gypsum Panel (V2210)
Tongue and Groove Gypsum Panel (V2220)
Aluminum Frame Glass Panel (V2270)
Our Wallstrip Connectors can support up to 2,000 pounds of load on 1 side on a single wall strip! A pair of Wallstrips can be loaded with storage for up to 4,000 pounds- even GLASS panels! The systems designated panels are configured in the length to create the on-center dimension needed for the components, so 48 components would be supported by 2 Wallstrip Connectors, separated by 47 of panel.
Vinyl Wallstrip covers the match wall finish, and can be custom cut around components.
22
Aluminum Wallstrip and Wallstrip covers are available in all Aluminum trim finish colors.
Exposed Wallstrips show black lines of the strong steel inserts ready for furniture.

Muntin Design Aluminum Frame Multi-Lite Panels offer a lot of flexibility in design and detail. A muntin and the choices of in-fill can make a big impact on your design. Muntins can separate the panel into many different sections to create a unique look for your space.
This panel contains glass as the multilite filler. Muntins that split up the panel multiple times can be at different angles.
This panel contains Inserts. The Inserts can be hard or tackable surfaces, even markerboard. Note that the muntin is exposed.
This panel’s multi-lites are Outserts. These can be hard or tackable surfaces, or markerboard. Note that the muntin is covered.
24
Muntin Examples
Wood veneer Outserts are used in a conference room. The wood’s natural grain is vertically aligned unless otherwise specified. The rich “Warm Cherry Red” finish adds a luxurious feel to this board room, while the glass Multi-Lite wall adjacent allows for a light and airy feel.
Inserts covered with wood veneer are framed by glass filled Multi-Lites. The wood’s natural pattern is checkered to add visual interest. The glass fillers on the sides are frosted for privacy but allow light to penetrate further into the building.
Images below show the option of muntins at custom angles, only available on Glass Multi-Lites.
Different colored glass fills have angled vertical muntins on the double sliding doors. The walls on either side echo the color theme, but without the unique vertical muntin design.
This large sliding door features angled horizontal muntins. The glass between the angled muntins is patterned, while above and below is clear glass. This “bowtie” door wall is just one way to create a distinctive and functional space.
25
Base Trim Options There are 3 different types of base trim options that effect the look and functionality of the panels. Each is shown here with a gypsum panel and an Aluminum frame panel with glass:
6” Vinyl Base (V2140.6)
Gypsum panel shown here with 4” Wireway (V2130) to support electrical integration in base. 6” base is required to utilize base electrical system.
4” Vinyl Base (V2140.4)
The bolt at the bottom of all Aluminum panels adjusts for floor levels, and allows room for electrical integration.
4” Aluminum Base (V2142)
Requires the use of Narrow Floor Runner (see pg 14). Gypsum panel shown here with a 3” Wireway (V2130) to support electrical integration in base.
26
Electrical It’s important that your modular walls integrate with all of your electrical and telecommunications needs. Built in panel electrical: R# options (shown here) have the electrical feed at the top of the panel. S# options are similar but have the electrical feed at the bottom of the panel.
