STUDIO AIR 2015, SEMESTER 1, Geoff Jin Dai 726716 Sketchbook
Week 1
First attempt with rinho and grasshopper
2 SKETCHBOOK
This is my first attempt modeling with rhino and grasshopper. Rhino has many functions similar to AutoCAD and 3D max, so it is relatively easier to pick up. On the other hand, Grasshopper is completely a new experience for me. Lofting in Rhino or Grasshopper could generate similar results. However, when lofting in rhino the surface cannot be changed, whereas in Grasshopper, there is a function to active and edit the selected curve to allow further reshaping. This make the amendment of the shape much easier.

6 SKETCHBOOK
Voronoi 3D algorithm works on the same premise but is applied to 3d objects. Once the 3d geometry has been reference in grasshopper, the baked model is divided up into cells. Which can then be adjusted individually or deleted to create irregular and complex geometries.
